INTRODUCTION
Business Information system is the process which organisation undertakes for supporting
and managing activities more efficiently. The main motive of this combination is to achieve
business objectives in an effective manner. This present report will cover the use of IT
systems with different functions of an organisation and contribution of objectives to achieve
organisational objectives. Further, this report also covers different ways of IT systems which
can be employed within Capital One and SABRE. Importance of IT system to support value-
added change to improve business performance is also to be discussed in this report.

Role of IT department is very important foe Capital One and SABRE. It helps in very
numerous ways to organisation in achieving their business goals. This system helps in
developing trends which is in accordance with the current market conditions of the business
market. By the use of information technology, business organisation will able to know ability
of business to view its global market. Company will able to purchase software and packages
by which effective technologies will get developed in organisation which overall helps in
improving its efficiency. Its importance is equal to all the departments of organisation in
meeting needs and goals (Madon and Krishna, 2018). This function includes finance
function, Production function, HR administrator, and for Marketing and Sales function. Its
role is as follows-
Accounting and finance function- Financial functions of an enterprise includes an
process which observe stocks and flows of money and amount of assets and liabilities coming
and going from an organisation. Role of IT system for this department is to maintain a large
data base which ensures financial capability which is with availability of resources, stores,
etc. It provides useful information for automatically updating the transactions in the General
Ledger. It provides proper and accurate information of all historical transaction. It also helps
in tracking flow of cash through account receivable and account payable accurately.

Marketing and Sales department- IT system in marketing is very helpful in
maintaining customer relationship management, Data Warehouses and Content management
systems. To maintain this large supportive process in organisation, it is the responsibility of
IT staff to support that marketing activities. This will overall help organisation in achieving
their business needs and goals and it also maintain goodwill of the organisation in business
market. Company which has strong information technology department will able to develop
new and trending marketing technologies. This will overall helps organisation in creating
effective marketing of products which overall result in increasing sales volume of the
company. Sales will get increased by the use of information technology.
Production department- main function of IT system for production department is to
allocate proper resources, schedule production, check inventory, testing quality and many
more (Burbules, 2018). Information technology staff plays a huge role in maintaining all this
activities in organisation. Properly material management, Inventory management, monetary,
quality and resource management is the most important part of IT system. IT department will
keep eye on the regular operation of business so that effective production will developed in
organisation to achieve its organisational objectives.
HR department- Information technology systems is very useful for HR department
also because it provides help in maintain and developing effective employee’s data in the
computer software. Employee’s performance record is also maintained by IT department.

business it is important for them to analyse their business operation so that profitability does
not matter in business organisation. In this world, supermarket business is constantly
changing in which consumers food choices are constantly changing. Main challenge which
faced by JS supermarket is that they are highly doing wastage of food by which their overall
sales will get decreased and faced huge downfall in their business operation. They loose with
their suppliers because they do not have effective information technology system. They also
have cut thousands of jobs from their stores in UK. The reason being is economic
uncertainty, digital transformation, and agro alignment.
Recommendation
To develop solution of business problems there will effective information technology
system in organisation. This system helps in developing trends which is in accordance with

organisation with the help of E-CRM model. It is necessary for employees in developing
effective communication with customer so that their needs get developed by organisation.
Hence, IT software will help firm in reducing problem and thereby helps in bringing
efficiency to a great extent.
