Case
The case being discussed is based on David send Susan. David had a idea for developing a new
app for book enthusiast so that can discuss their favourite novels. In doing so they would
incorporate a new company named Start Up Pty Limited Ltd (Levin, 2016). to market the app.

Along with the shareholder one himself and two others he was sole director of the company.
Shareholders of the company were not involved in any of the function of the company but
provided funds for startup send were provided shares. Start Up Pty Ltd entered into a contract
with Susan who was a web developer to develop the app and was paid a small sum of money out
of the money which was contributed by the shareholders of the company. Susan worked on
developing the app and before completing the app she got to know that idea of the Bookface app
had been sold by David to Big Blue Co Ltd for a large sum.
Legal solution for Susan
As a paralegal of Brickworks it can be advised that solution that Susan can get is on the
basis of contract which she entered into with the company of David and as David was sole
director of the company he will be claimed by the Susan. This is a dispute between Susan and
David and this can be solved by the method of dispute resolution there are three ways in which
dispute can be resolved between mediation, arbitration and litigation. These three type of support
and legal advice for Susan are as follows-
Mediation- The goals of this type of legal advice and support for disute resolution is that the
parties means Susan and David can arrive to a consensus on their own. Mediator helps parties so
that they can completely explore the grievance and his role is as facilitator in ensuring that they
are able to arrive at a consensus.
Arbitration- This is another type of legal advice and this includes an arbitrator, in this arbitrator
listen to both the parties (Blake, Browne and Sime, 2016). On the basis of this arbitrator and
evidence presented arbitrator present a decision which is binding to both the parties.
Litigation- This is mostly used type of resolving conflict and in this civil litigation is included.
This requires defendant to face off with plaintiff. In this type of dispute resolution judge is
responsible for making decision on the basis of presented disputes. Susan can adopt any of this
type of legal advice and most suitable is litigation in case she has been cheated.
