INTRODUCTION
Business law is the body of law which governs business and
commerce and is often considered to be branch of civil law and
deals both with issues of private law and public law. This law
regulates corporate contracts, hiring practices and the
manufacture and sales consumer goods. Business law establish
the rules that all businesses should follow. It includes state and
federal law. This presentation will be covers about origin and
sources of law, types of laws that organization must comply. It
will also include role of government in law making, statutory and
common law applied on justice courts.

Every country's legal system has its own sources of law, with
greater weight placed on some sources than others. Following
are different sources of law :-
Constitution :- it is a first source of law. country's
constitution is a set of fundamental ground rules setting out
the power of the different branches of government. The
constitution set to basic principles such as fundamental and
rights. Constitution of country's contain many laws and
fundamental rules. It also created the structure of federal
government.

Legislation :- source of laws also include legislation that refers this
law enacted by a legislature or other governing body and passed by
parliament. Parliamentary legislature frames new laws and such as
act of parliament. Legislative process includes evaluating, amending
and proposed laws and is concerned with the word that contain in bill

European law :- European law is a system that includes 28
members of European union. This law overrule in situation when
conflict creates between national law and European law. It makes law
about wide range that includes agriculture to competition law. This

Minimum wages law :- fair labour standard act set a federal
minimum wage. Government of United kingdom set minimum
wages. Employers of organization has to give minimum wages to
employees and members. This law is the body of law which
prohibits from hiring employees or workers for less than a given
hourly, daily or monthly minimum wages. Government of united
Kingdom set wages for adults aged 25 and over will increase
from £7.50 to £7.83 per hour. Worker aged 21 to 24 to increase

making.
Government play vital role in law making process and without
government body no one can make any law. Following stages includes in
this process:-
First reading :- it is a just a formality of reading to bill in both house
of parliament. It is a legislative procedure that start with this stage. In
this stage member or minister present bill to introduce with both
house of parliament.
Second reading :- then the bill must have second reading.
In this stage of law making process, bill presented by government
minister in house of common

Committee stage :- after passed bill by second stage by
house of common so standing committee conduct
examination. It contains 16 to 20 MPs. These committee are
chaired by chairmen's panel and new member are appointed
for each new bill.
Report stage :- after committee stage, the committee
that examined bill, so they have to report its decision to whole
house of common within two weeks. It is very lengthy process.
The committee prepares a report on the bill and explains any
amendments that have been suggested.

Royal assent :- the last stage of the legislative procedure in
UK is royal assent. This assent gives by queen to the bill that
has completed all the parliamentary stages and then it
declared in both house of parliament. Queen give royal assent
to bill and after assent, bill become an act of parliament.

Statutory and common law are applied in justice court :-
Common law is applied in justice court in easy way because
common law made by judges at the time of decision-making
about case. So if same case and situation register in future so
judges has to follow and take same decision in future and, but
they can deny in court about decision in common law. So this
law applied in court through this process.
Statutory law made by parliament that means anyone
makes law and rules and it passes after assent of queen. If
court use to statutory law, so they have to apply law related
case and situation and then apply provision and section. This
law can not deny by any person in court.

In UK, act reform and all are increasing and helps to develop
legal system. Due to changing and develop legal system so
people also follow to alternative dispute resolution and it helps to
save cost and time because they have not to go in court for
justice. In UK supreme court establish after development of legal
system and people get quick justice and decision about any case
and decision.
