Introduction
Statutory Law can be defined as a written law that is presented by
the Parliament and is based on the decisions that are made in
other courts. This presentation includes a brief introduction about
the statute law, common law and how the law is applied within
the justice courts. Apart from this, there is also an explanation
about the hierarchy of law courts in the United Kingdom.

Statute Law
A statute can be referred to as a law that is produced by the
parliament and enacted by the legislature of a country. The
stature law sets general propositions of law that different courts
are expected to apply to different situations and is presented in a
written form. In the United Kingdom, the different acts of
Parliament make up the Statutory Law.

Common Law
On the other hand, a common law within United Kingdom
ensures that the law is common throughout the nation. In simple
words, it can be defined as a set of unwritten laws that are
primarily based on legal precedents which are established by the
courts. The common law plays an important role within a country
as the wrongdoers are required to pay compensation to whom
they have injured, either intentionally or because of being
negligent.

How common law is applied in the justice courts?
The common law is also known as case law and basically relies
on the detailed records of situations and statutes that are similar
to each other. This is because there is no legal code that can be
applied immediately to a case in hand.

Hierarchy of Law Courts in United Kingdom
Civil Procedure
It can be defined as the body of law that describes the rules as
well as standards for courts that are to be followed when hearing
civil lawsuits. The hierarchy of different civil courts is as follows
County Courts – These courts deal with majority of cases within
the civil court system and the cases are either heard by a deputy
district judge or a circuit judge.

Criminal proceeding
It can be defined as the judgement process of the criminal law.
The different types of criminal laws in the United Kingdom, are
stated below -
Magistrates Court – This court is responsible for handling most
of the criminal work and the cases are either heard by a qualified
judge or a three lay magistrates.

Conclusion
From the presentation, it cam be concluded that business law
within a country is very important because it helps in maintaining
order among different businesses. Statute as well as common
laws also serve as important components because they enable the
judge within the court to make effective decisions by
implementing the rules and standards which are stated by them.
