INTRODUCTION
Business management is mainly defining about the process of managing the company
and understanding the functions which helps operating the business in successful manner.
The business operations mainly aid in effectively in managing and controlling the business.
With introducing the business management and its operations is mainly defining and
developing deep understanding about the business environment and its operations which
helps in operating and treating the business. Business operations is mainly constituting
various factors including the supply chain, production, marketing, customer service. This
module is mainly about explaining and developing deep understanding with the introducing
to business operations and management. This module is mainly based on the previous
knowledge which is acquired and helps in building knowledge and understanding by
studying about the business management with taking the educational degree. this element is
mainly explaining about the functions of the business operations, including internal and
external functions and also explaining the support functions of the business. Further it helps
in describing about the operations management and the decisions of Morrison company. This
is related to the experience and knowledge which assist in building better understanding
about the functions required in operating the business which helps me in starting the business
in future on my own.

Reflection of semester 1
Before starting this module, I had the basic knowledge about managing the business
and the functions which helps in coordinating all the business activities with planning,
organising and controlling and managing the business operations in effective manner. as
before starting studying this module, I had the understanding about the different areas of the
business management, as the personnel management in the company mainly helps in
selecting the appropriate personals which results in effectively working for achieving the
objectives. as before starting this module, I have gained the knowledge related to the business
management because it is the main and key important aspect for managing and handlining all
the operations of the business while starting the new company and business on own. Business
management mainly helps in enhancing the productivity with coordinating the business
activities for building growth and increase performance with achieving more profits in
business while operating in the dynamic environment (Feng and Ye, 2021). While pursuing
the education I have studied about the functions which helps in supporting the business while

coordinating all the activities. As I have the basic understanding about the internal, external
and supporting functions of the business management. As the internal functions are those
which helps in business internally by coordinating the internal activities. These mainly results
in hiring the staff personnel for performing task , handles and manages the expense, assist in
purchasing the raw materials and helps in acquiring the finance for the business it run the
company in successful manner. also, the external function are those which mainly helps in
promoting the business by using various promotional and marketing tools. These functions
coordinates for promoting and increasing the sales of the business products by marketing and
organising various campaigns which directs the sales and helps the business in distributing
the products and services.
Furthermore from this module has helped in gaining knowledge about the operational
efficiencies of the organisation and maintaining the quality of products for retaining loyal
consumers. Also it helped in providing better understanding about the supply chain and the
logistics which is used in Morrison. Also the knowledge which is have gained about the
supporting function in the previous experiences as these mainly helps in keeping records of
the financial data and assist in maintaining the quality of products by hiring the suitable
candidates with appropriate skilled and abilities. The new knowledge which is have gained
after studying this module is that the business internal functions also include the overhead
expenses which mainly helps in supporting the business with providing financial assistance
by taking loans (Rodrigues and et.al., 2021). Further I have gained deep understanding about
the functions relating to the retail business as of the Morrison. This will help me in future for
operating the retail business as I have developed deep understanding about the internal,
external and the supportive functions which helps operating retail supermarket in successful
manner. Also I have gained new knowledge while studying the Morrison evaluation, as
about the operational decisions taken by the company on the basis of various factors. As in
the production function the company is mainly focusing on its market demand and target
market for producing the products with delivering highly demanded products and taking
decisions. In the supply chain the company is supplying to th third party for delivering the
products. Also, in the logistics support taking the Deliveroo support which helps in maintain
loyalty of the company (Panigrahi and et.al., 2021). I was surprised while learning from this
module about the company is offering the good quality products at low prices and
establishing the vertically integrated supply chain for maintaining the brand loyalty while
operating in the dynamic market.

Semester 2 reflection and continuous development
The Challenges faced while developing semester 1 module as while researching about
the main topics with the lack of available of the resources has resulted in arising issues while
writing about the introduction of the business operations and management. With the lack of
resources has impacted my researching’s about the detail study of the Morrison and its
approaches adopted for establishing operational control on the business. For this with the lack
of resources I have visited libraires and arranged various books for gaining the deep
understanding about the business functions and managing operations this resulted in
scrutinising the related material for writing the business functions. Also with the lack of time
limit was the challenge I faced while developing the semester 1 module from this has resulted
in hindering my researching with using the internet about the Morrisons and deriving its
operations decision-making abilities and approaches. Further I was not able to properly get
the correct and exact information about the Morrison while researching, for this using an
researching the multiple networking’s sites has helped me in devising and writing properly
about the approaches used by the company for controlling its operations.
I have used my knowledge which is have gained while developing the semester 1
module, as this will help me in developing the management skills and developing the deep
understanding about using the function in the future when working in company and opening
own enterprise. I will use these learnings for taking various decisions with using the business
functions in the appropriate way. this will aid in improving the business processes and better
working with improving the performance for achieving growth. Further these learning and
knowledge will help me in focussing on improving the business by using all the functions in
effective manner which results in achieving success in the dynamic environment (Zuhdi and
et.al., 2019). Thus, I have used the knowledge for managing my business in effective way.
This knowledge has helped me in improving my overall understanding in the business
management, example: as while hiring the staff personal for working and completing the task
in the business, this understanding supported me in recruiting the potential competent skilled
personnel and hiring the suitable candidate for the appropriate task for working in the retail
company this results in improving the customer services (Nudurupati, Garengo and Bititci,
2021). Also, this study helped me in researching the market as this is the external support
function which helps in analysing the market before supplying the products and services by

establishing the new business in future. Before introducing and supplying the products
researching the needs and wants of consumers market help me in attracting and targeting the
consumers market and retaining the consumers for purchasing the products. Furthermore this
knowledge has helped me in using the external business function for promoting the products
with adopting different marketing strategies as the advertisements, sales promoting, hiring
sales agent for promoting the products and increasing sales of the products (Kiradoo, 2021).
Also the evaluation about Morrison has helped in developing my learning in making
decisions strategically as the company is using third party support for efficiently supplying
and delivering the products and partnering with the Deliveroo support company in
maintaining loyalty by delivering products and services on time.
The operational area which I have enjoyed the most in learning about is the supply
chain logistics and evaluating the operation’s management decisions taken by Morrison. This
is the retailer company mainly recognised for selling the food and nod food products to large
number of consumers in the dynamic market. I enjoyed in researching in detail about the
Morrison production, supply chain management and logistics departmental decisions. As the
company mainly takes decisions by targeting the market and evaluating the market demand
of the products (Khank and Gupta, 2022). As in the supply chain the company is mainly
delivering the products to the third party and establishing its retail outlets for managing the
supply prices of the products. This helps in maintaining the quality and producing products at
low prices. I enjoyed this because I has the basic knowledge about taking the decisions on the
basis of operations for managing the business, for this I has really enjoyed in developing deep
understanding about the supply chain management used in retail business and the logistics
support used by the company in managing its supplies by delivering products on time.
The operational area which I have to learn more about and develop my understanding
is the operational efficiencies of the organisation and the HR strategies. As developing this
understanding and knowledge will help in adopting ways which results in reducing waste and
producing the products while operating the business in high quality (Ferreira Gregorio, Pié
and Terceño, 2018). Also developing the understanding will help me in continuously
adopting ways for improvements in business and working in the company in future. This will
result in obtaining and reducing the costs by optimising the business operations which results
in earning more revenues and profits by operating business in efficient manner. Thus,
learning about this operational practices will help me in applying while working in company
or starting own business.

I will continue to develop my learning and understanding in these all areas by
attending the seminars and lectures related to the business management and its operations
which will help me in developing the clear and better understanding about all new facts and
finding related to the business management and operations also the functions which helps in
supporting the business by coordinating its activities. I will also read more books and attend
the webinars also viewing various lectures with using the internet on the YouTube channels.
Further I will study the real-life case studies and the article related to managing the business
and its operations which will help me in developing my learning of continuous basis . also
develop deep knowledge about the business management and its functions which supports
and coordinates the activities and help me in remembering all the functions while working in
a company or starting own business in future. Thus , with using all these ways will help me in
continually developing my learning and understanding of all the areas in level 4.
CONCLUSION
From the above report it can be concluded that while reflecting on the introducing of
the business operations and management was very effective. As learning from studying this
module will help me in future as by applying all the studied functions I careful manner with
opening my own business or company in future. This refection help me in continuing my
learning in more effective way as I have acquired deep understanding about all the internal ,
external and the supportive functions which helps increasing about the business operations in
effective and successful way. also I have gained better knowledge about the operational
efficiencies with reflecting as while studying this module about the Morrisons operational
management decisions. This has developed my knowledge and has given me greater
understanding for managing the business and taking the decisions by effectively using all the
business functions. Further more, writing this refection have developed my researching skills
and more knowledge about the business management and its functional areas which supports
the company for operating and achieving competitiveness in the dynamic business
environment.
