INTRODUCTION
There are different issues and problems with in organisation that will lead to have major impact
over business as well as influence performance level of organisation. Contemporary issues can
be describe as the problems that is currently affecting individuals, places and that is unresolved
(Basaruddin, 2021). These issues will affect overall potential and capabilities of organisation to
perform all task in significant manner as well as attaining desired goals. It is crucial for
organisation to analyse and evaluate various contemporary issues as well as take right decision
for business development. This report is based on Aldi company. This is common brand of two
German Family owned business. This organisation is dealing in retail market area and providing
effective products and services in order to meet requirements of customers. Aldi is a discounted
supermarket chain that was founded in year 1946. This organisation was established by Karl and
Theo Alrecht. Head office of this organisation is located in Essen, Germany. The main products
and services of this organisation includes supermarket, hypermarket, superstore, convenience
shop and so on. This report includes information about various contemporary issues in the field
of Business, Management and Leadership. This consist of evaluation of the impact of
contemporary issues on organisations. Apart from this personal perspectives on contemporary
business management issues has been analysed.

There are different contemporary issues which will lead to have major impact on overall
performance of business as well as affect overall performance level of business. Various
contemporary issues in the field of business, management and leadership is mention below in
detail –

There are several activities and task that needs to be performed with in business in order to
attain its desired goals (Heli, 2021). Contemporary issues in the field of business is explain
below –
Uncertainty about future – This is high uncertainty about the future that will lead to have
major negative impact over business. This is consider as the crucial issue for business as
due to uncertainty business is not able to smoothly conduct its task and take right
decision for enhancing business performance.
Regulation and compliances – There are different regulation and compliances that needs
to be followed by organisation. This can be consider as the major contemporary issues for
business as changes in regulation of government will lead to have major changes in
business operations or task.
Technology – There is various types of technology in market area that affect functioning
of business (Masyhum, 2021). Along with several benefits, there are some issues of
technology that negatively affect performance of business. There are different risk factors
included in using new or advance technology while conducting business practices.

Management is refer as the crucial practice of business that is helpful for successfully
conducting different task of business as well as meeting with desired objectives. several
contemporary issues in the field of management is mention below -
Financial management – It is very difficult for organisation to manage its financial
resources in significant manner. Finance play important role in organisation and it will
lead to have major influence on revenues and profitability of business. It is important for
organisation to manage its financial resources in appropriate way so that right decision
for business growth could be timely taken.
Recruiting and managing talent – It is essential for a company to manage employees in
appropriate way with the motive of increasing their performance level and attain set
objectives. Organisation face issues in recruiting and managing right talent of business
and encouraging them to focus on accomplishing objectives (Masyhum, 2021).
Customer services – It is important for organisation to successfully manage customer
service practices with the motive of attracting more and more employees towards

Leadership is refer as the capability or potential of an individual to influence other for
conducting business activities in effective manner. there are different aspects of leadership that
could be consider as contemporary issues.
Globalization – This is one of the essential contemporary issue of leadership as it is
difficult for leaders to conduct its activities at global level. An organisation which is
performing its practices on different market area of the globe then its leadership practices
should be perform according to the different needs of employees at global level. Due to
this leaders are not able to perform required set of task in significant manner and it is
very hard from them to influence global employees in appropriate manner.
Quick decision making – it is important for leaders to take right and quick decision for
business and employees (bin Mohd Nor, 2021). this is one of the crucial part of business
and it is essential that leaders are taking quick decision which will lead to growth and
development of business. Quick decision making can be consider as difficult for
organisation as leaders have to analyse or evaluate several factors for taking right
decision for business or employees.
Dealing with changes – There are several changes in internal and external market area of
business which can be consider as major contemporary issue for business. it is critical for
leaders to manage or deal with the required changes in appropriate manner as well as
accomplishing desired objectives. It is very challenging for a leader to analyse and
evaluate various changes within market area in order to take right and accurate action.
Ethical behaviour – This can be describe as the correct or appropriate behaviour of the
leaders in order to take right step of business performance. Ethical behaviour of leader is

Absence of clear direction – Contemporary issues will lead to have direct negative impact
over business performance. Due to this absence of clear direction increase and employee
are not aware regarding that their task and job role. Absence of clear direction will
directly affect functioning of business and influence capability of employees to conduct
business practices (binti Daud, 2021). Because of contemporary issues of leadership,
leader will not be able to provide proper guidance and direction to its employees which
will affect their potential and capability to perform task in effective and efficient manner.
Decrease in business productivity – These issues will lead to directly decrease overall
productivity of business and influence performance level. Contemporary issues of
management will significantly affect decrease in business productivity. there are several
issues faced by respective company in properly conducting its management practices as
well as affect its functioning. Management play very important role in organisation and
due to contemporary issues of management such as lack of finance management,
incapability to hire right talent and so on will lead to directly influence over productivity
of business and affect its capability to attain desired goals.
Fail to develop competencies and behaviours – Contemporary issues will lead to failure
of developing high competencies or right behaviour with in organisation which will
directly affect functioning of business. There are several hard working employees of Aldi
company who want to carry out business practices in effective and efficient manner. due
to several contemporary issues they will not be able to provide enhance performance
level. Due to this leaders will not be able to motivate or encourage employees to perform
business task successfully as well as increase their competencies level or create right
behaviour in order to develop their potential level. Leading and managing changes of
organisation can be consider as the most complex task of business which affect
functioning of business.
Poor communication and feedback – Communication is very important part of business
and it is crucial that organisation have proper and effective communication so that all task
and activities could be perform in significant manner (Abd Rahman, 2021). Poor

business which significantly influence performance of business. due to lack of
communication and inadequate feedback there will be high misunderstanding and issues
with in company and directly influence capability to attain set objectives.

influence timely accomplishment of goals and objectives. According to my perspective it has
been analysed that contemporary issues will lead to have major influence over employees as well
as their capability to attain desired goals. Aldi organisation will face challenges in effective
management of human resources, finance, marketing of products and services, operations and so
on. Due to this respective company will not be able to complete its work in required time frame
and its capability to accomplish set objective will be directly influence. I have analysed that there
are several ways and approaches which could be consider by organisation in order to influence
negative impact of contemporary issues as well as enhance overall performance of business. it is
crucial for Adli organisation to provide training to its employees so that they can deal with the
issues of business in significant manner. Training and development programme is refer as the
practice of business which is effective for increasing skills and potential of employees for
performing required set of task and practices in effective manner. Through this techniques, Aldi
organisation will be able to deal with contemporary issues in appropriate manner as well as
increasing overall performance level of business. Leaders of respective company should focus
on managing its employees in appropriate way as well as encourage them to use full potential to
conduct task in right manner.
