INTRODUCTION
Ideal job is the one which help people in using their academic and employability skills in such a
manner that the tasks given to them are completed within the allotted time and in a desired
manner so that both the employer and employee can be satisfied with the results. Ideal job help
in the overall personal and professional development of an individual and lead to the person’s
satisfaction with job which is important while working in an organisation (Mittal and Dhar,
2015). Ideal job also help in motivating the person to use their skills and talents to their
maximum extent so that best results can be achieved. My ideal job is to become store manager in
at Tesco plc so that i can use my academic abilities and skills in an efficient manner and help the
company in achieving its goals and objectives on time.
My ideal job
In order to become successful in life and to be happy with the work being done it is
important that i choose an ideal job that can help me in growing and developing in my career and
also in being satisfied by the work which i do. As i have completed my graduation in business
management i have skills regarding managing an organisation and taking all the responsibilities
that come along with it (Kim and Yazdian, 2014). After analysing my capabilities, skills and
interests i think that my ideal job would be to become a store manager at Tesco plc which is
located in London, UK. Tesco is a multinational British retailer with its headquarters in London,
UK. The company is world’s third largest retailer in the world in terms of gross revenue and is
the ninth largest retailer i terms of revenue. The company also has more than 450,000 employees
working in its 6,800 stores across 7 countries. The company basically deals in groceries and
general merchandise and make them available to customers at lower rates and high quality so
that maximum customer satisfaction can be achieved and high value can be created for them. i
would like to work in an organisation which is customer centric and also try to improve the
living standards of people through its products and services. Also Tesco is known for following
CSR policies which means that the company work in such a manner that it help in the social,
economic and environmental development of the society where the company operates. Working
as a store manager in this company will help me in achieving job satisfaction as the company

As a store manager in a large company like Tesco can help in boosting my career and help
in using my academic skills in a proper manner so that i can manage the roles and
responsibilities in an efficient manner. The main role of a store manager is to supervise all the
operations that take place in the stores so that all the functions can run smoothly and effectively
which can help in achieving company goals. With my graduation i have learnt about many
theories and approaches which can be applied as a manager to monitor and control all the
activities that take place in a company. I can use various approaches so as to manage the staff
members and their work by properly delegating roles and responsibilities to them based on their
capabilities and knowledge so that they can effectively completed. Conflict management,
effective communication skills, performance appraisals, stress management, participative
leadership approach etc. are the other ways that can help me in managing the work as a store
manager so that all the staff members can be well monitored and controlled. With help of
effective communication i can help in coordinating the work of all the team members and also in
motivating them so that they can appropriately finish their work in an efficient manner.

requirement to hire new employees in company (Etzkorn and et. al., 2018). These sources are
easily accessible to aspiring candidates who are searching for jobs in their respective fields so
that they can apply for these jobs through various platforms and can be called by the company

for their recruitment process. It is important that these sources are tracked by job seekers so that
they can know about the job vacancies which are present in the market and also the companies
which are willing to hire employees on certain job positions. In order to find out and keep a track
on the job vacancy in Tesco for the post of store manager i need to take help from various source
that can help me in getting my ideal job by applying for the job role. Following are some of the
sources along with their advantages and disadvantages that can help me in taking decisions
regarding which source will best suite me for getting my ideal job:
1) LinkedIn
It is an American networking site which helps in providing employment oriented services
and can be operated via website and mobile app. LinkedIn is a social media platform that helps
both employers and employees in networking and building their professional portfolio so that
they can come in contact with many potential candidates who are eligible for job roles available
in companies. LinkedIn can be assessed easily by using mobile apps or its websites for free and
registration can be done by filling in the personal details of the person and also their educational
qualifications, and other skills and abilities so that their profiles can be viewed and analysed by
employers (Sriwilai and Charoensukmongkol, 2016). The candidates can also filter their profiles
so that only the employers who they are interested to work with along with the place where they
are trying to find jobs can reach to them. i can use this platform and open my account so that a
professional profile can be created and i can come increase my network that can help in
increasing my chances of getting my ideal job.
Advantages:
It help the candidates in building their network so that they can easily search for job
vacancies that are present in various companies.
Jobs as the interest of candidates can be searched.
Disadvantages
Time investment in generation of profile and building network

It is an American social media and social networking service which help in linking and

Disadvantages This is a time consuming method. Sometimes job vacancies are not updated on Facebook on regular basis.

and can be used for their job search that can help them in getting jobs based on their academic

companies can be searched by using this application and the candidates can apply for job roles in
these companies. The companies then come in contact with the candidates if they have job
vacancies available. I can use this platform for my job search and can open my account on
indeed and can apply for a post of store manager in Tesco and when there will be an availability i
will get a call for interview.
Advantages:
A large number of companies can be searched by candidates.
It is easy to use and also the candidates can find the jobs based on their interest and
academic qualifications.
Disadvantages There is a risk of getting fake job calls demanding for money for getting recruited in the
desired firms. The candidates have to search a lot of companies to get their ideal jobs.
