Introduction
Academic skills are considered to be those skills which are helpful for the
student in their studies. With the help of such type of skills students can learn new
things without facing any difficulty considering the process of retaining the
information, or to work with different set of assessments(Ewing, 2020) . These skills
are considered to be a technique with which a student can develop the recalling of
all those information which they have learned in the direction of their studies. But it
wholly depends on the personal approach of a student that what their strategy is to
learn those skills so that they can meet their needs for the studies. Also, the
students have to conduct practice of all the skills which they are required to develop
during their time of studies which can help them to be productive. This report will
cover academic integrity and its importance, implications of academic misconduct,
difficulties faced in a game and the skills which have been learned in the academic
year and while producing a game.

An Introduction including a description of Academic Integrity
Academic integrity is considered to be showing a good behavior towards the
study which covers working with good practices and in a honest way. This is the way
in which academic integrity will be shown when students are performing in their most
positive and in a fair way so that they can take all the responsibility and challenges
for the learning by themselves(Yang and et. al., 2018). This is important for University
also in which students are studying because this will be helpful in developing good
image of their University only. University management must acknowledge the quality
of learning which is being developed by the teachers and by the students only. The
teachers are responsible for providing the information to students as why working
with full integrity is important and useful for them. When they will be teaching the
students about why they have to behave in a fair manner then this will help them to
make some changes in he working and the way at which they are studying.
Academic integrity will not ever make the promotion of doing cheating or
making copying from other students assignments. Academic integrity is useful for
students because with this it helps in promoting the personal development of a
student which covers developing the skills which are useful in their studies. They will

be learning skills because of the requirements which will be defined according to the
situation. When students will learn all the things on their own then this will make
them clarify about how they have to work and what are their strengths and weakness
in the studies (Regier, 2020). This will be used in making the selection of their career
which they have to choose. While making assignments, which involves conducting
proper research which will be useful in developing their own knowledge and
information. Conducting research for the assignment helps in developing the
knowledge which they can use in any other area. This is the most important thing
because by copying down the materials from other students assignments will not
help them in any other thing but just they would not be able to develop the
knowledge and the skills which are required for the development of students.
A discussion of the importance of academic integrity in higher
education
When the students will be knowing that they have to behave in a right and fair
manner then all their acts will be on a positive side. They will be doing right and
correct thing when they will be behaving in a integrity. This will mean that they have
made their full focus on keeping the higher position to work in a honest manner
which will not only be useful for the students but will also be helpful for the
University. This will mean that students are working on their own which covers to
make their own assignments and not making copy from the sheet of their friend
during the test(MA and et. al., 2019). There are many reasons with which academic
integrity will be considered as important and in it that their will be trust on the
students as they are not doing any type of cheating in their work. When the students
will be behaving in a trustful manner then the chances of becoming them a
successful leader also increases. The students will automatically develop the
reputations of being trustworthy which is a characteristic of a leader.
The second factor because of which academic integrity will be considered as
important will cover that it helps in providing value to the degree which the student
gets. When the students will take the degree and will start doing work then in this
case employer will only make the preference of those employees who have been

provided with the degree without any unfair terms. The reason for employing such
type of people is because when have acted fairly in the time of taking their degree
then in this case they will behave in fair terms during the time of their work also.
Every employer would like to provide the employment of those people who are good
at their work and not just this they are also acting in a fair way. The last will be
getting the peace that the knowledge which has been taken by students will be
giving them the belief that they can undertake many activities which will be important
to sustain in this competition.
Discuss the implications of academic misconduct
Academic misconduct or dishonest is considered to be a fraud which is made
by students while they are studying. This covers the actions which has been
undertaken by students including plagiarism, cheating or the fabrication of data. The
most common which the University makes it on a student is the penalty which they
have to give if any of the misconduct has been taken place(Alston, Carpenter and
Wiseman eds., 2020). It is because in any of the educational institutions there are
certain rules and regulations which has to be followed up because for them it will be
a violation. The grades might not be provided by teacher when the student have
done any of the misconduct. At times it happens that teachers gives the students
some assignment which has to be done by them and for doing such type of
assignment there are some grades which are added in the overall marks of students.
To conduct the work at a faster rate student believes that they will copy the
assignment of other student with only some modifications or at times might not be
any. When the teacher will see that such type of things have happened then at this
case they might want to do the work again.
The other factor at which the student will have to face the problem is that
providing them with less grades which will not be good for the students for their
future growth. The main idea of working with integrity is that the students work in a
serious way and conduct all their work in a fair manner so that they do not have to
face the after problems(Fox, Thomson and Warburton, 2020). There are some of the
research projects also which are undertaken by the students and if any of the
misconduct will be happening then at this stage they might be terminated form the
research project also which is considered to be the most important for the grades

and for the degree of students. If the students will not behave in any of the unfair
manner then in the end they are securing their success but if they want to work in
such way then the chances of achieving success might be disrupted.

Reflect on the steps you have taken, and difficulties encountered in
producing the game for Project 2
For the development of game there are certain difficulties which were faced by me
and those issues are discussed below-
 Knowing right audience- For the development of a game the main issue
which was faced by me in the earlier stage is to make the identification of the
right audience. As the developer it is very difficult to conduct a research
analysis as to whom the game will be used and how it will be helpful for them.
I have conducted many online and offline surveys so that I can know that who
will be best for the game which I have developed (Fowler, and et. al., 2021).
This is important because with it only the further steps in the development of a
game can be undertaken.
 Raising funds for the development of a game- The other factor which
makes it very difficult for me was to raise the funds for the game. As I am
studying also and with that I am raising funds for the game which creates
hectic making it difficult to develop some new ideas for the game also. The
development of every game takes some cost which is why I have to leave my
classes to work in different areas for the motive of earning some money.
 Dealing with security concerns- The next problem which I have faced was
the security concerns because the development of a game involves the use of
different software. These software and coding creates risk for the people who
will be using the game because with it the data stealing can be made. So this
was also the another factor which I have to face(Yang, 2020).

Reflect on the skills you have learned this academic year and those
emphasized in producing your game
Below are some of the skills which I have developed in the academic year and those
producing the game-
 Strong IT skills- The skill which I have developed while producing a game
was the IT skills. This is because as whole work needs to be undertaken with
the help of software programming and the design with which the game will be
developed. The other thing is a animation and graphic designing which will
also be used in making a game (Zhao, and et. al., 2020) . For the development
of a game it is very important that I am having that skill with which I can
develop a game.
 Problem solving skills- The next skill which was developed by me while
developing a game was the problem solving skill. This skill of mine was
developed when I have to deal in many different things including the software,
the development of idea which was not working every time. But with the
development of a game I have get the idea that if any problem is occurred
then what things have to be done in order to reduce such issues.
 Time management- It is the skill which was developed by me during the time
of academics in which I developed as to how the things need to be done on a
timely basis. Time management is the most important skill which is not just
useful during the academics but also even after(Alqerban and et. al., 2019).
Time management helps in the development of a schedule which helps in
completing all the task at the right time with great productivity.
Conclusion
From the above report it can be concluded that academic integrity in every
educational institution is important because this not only helps the student to make
development in themselves but also helps in improving the image of institution. While
working in a wrong way on the other side is considered to be a academic
misconduct. Working in a wrong way just to achieve good grades will not be
beneficial for the students because with it they would not be able to develop any of

the learning and will not make any personal development in themselves.
