1. Introduction
The report is based on nature of personal and professional advancement, description
on value of period of short term targets that determines by implementing examples in it.
Also, discussing medium and short term goals in development of both personal and
professional life through applying relevant examples in their (Dali, Bell and Valdes,
2021). Furthermore, discussing value of personal advancement strategies and constructed
aims by using relevant examples in their area. Then task two comes in which descriptive
of author, aim for making, reliability and relevance that impact uses of sources. Lastly, in
task three examining of eight derivation that is used in report strategy.
2. Definition of the concept of personal and professional
development
Personal Development
It includes tasks that creates an individual efficiency and creates human capital,
provides employment. Also, increases quality of growth through realizing of desires and
inspiration in productive manner. This develops growth in personal area of persons through
develops skills and knowledge in their process of development. As it encourages to overview
positive sides of lives. By learning to met faced issues in productive manner leads
development of individual personality. Emphasizes on computerized to shape proper in their
career path and upgrade knowledges (Lejeune, Beausaert and Raemdonck, 2021).
Development on personal basis improvise enhancement in growth of individuals personality
traits. In these helps in problem solving to person in finding nearby situation.
Professional Development
It is procedure that objective is to improve and enhance effectiveness of employees
towards access in qualification of theirs. Develops training advantages in organization where
they work. Through which enhance professionalism in sectors of developing in the future,
that enhances opportunities. This process is which in training and learning sessions are using
in peoples skills for achieving aims of organization. Develops in continuous process of
coaching that in context to career. The objective of professional development is to keep up-to
date. This helps in making people productive through enhancement in their field by
development. In these development takes place from various sources that is made with
purpose of improving skills in accordance to improvement individual in their field. It has
different levels of leading knowledge through basis of acquaintance of new skill. Also,

observes theories and examples in development of professional basis. Through reflecting
several exercises and changes that takes place in development of professional. It will also
increase in sharing expertise towards enhancement of their workplace by proper training in
organization. Helps in increasing new knowledge and experience in work area towards
achieving goals of their career that they are aims at. Towards achieves desired outcomes that
they always aim of and have an objective about their path of development in career (Copur-
Gencturk and Thacker, 2021). By providing professional training the individuals gets self-
motivated and helps in improving their overall personality. With the continuation of
education and learning programs helps the person to stay updated on industries trends and
technology.

Short term objectives are made with purpose of achieving goals in simply way as compared
to long term goals. These helps in achieving aims of organization through their different key
area. As it helps in providing productive strategies for increasing profitability and cost of
revenue in organization. Through which helps in achieving aims and objectives by setting up
goals and aims through offering discount, making proper budgeting that will enhance each
unit of price. Gives fast feedback on speedy way that creates positive impact on organization
through their helps in raising growth and development in business. Through this achieves
aims and goals of company in productive manner towards leading business. By short term
objectives focused on key perspective area towards leading business in an effective manner.
That determines clear goals and achieves targets in shorter period of time (Black and et.al,
2021). In order of describing value of short term objectives enhances development in
professional and personal area. Short-term goals makes the individual behaviour disciplined
and punctual in the workplace. However, setting short-term goals helps the persons to
achieve the organizational goals with proper planning of activities.
The division of work according to time facilitates the professionals to flow with the
recent trends and activities. This helps in building morning routine in personal development
through get disciplined in their area by following rules and regulation on daily basis. Also,
enhances their growth of development in key sectors of organization. These goals have high
value in life of people as leading to raising in stages of motivation. The quick response makes
the planning process to have modification and improvements to achieve the organizational
goal. Short-term goals must be specific and measurable which needs to be achieved shortly.

These objectives focus on the current aspects of the individual in order to set the
future aspects. Medium-term goals gives an assurance of efficient and effective future. These
objectives mainly involves the process of focusing on self-development and making of
money. The time frame of this goal is generally six months to two year. Some medium-term
goals take more than one year in the completion. These goals are considered as the base for
setting long-term goals. Giving a keen focus on these goals makes a person more innovative.
It helps in providing the new direction to the life. (Ragossnig and Tunesi, 2018). Those goals
which cannot be completed within a short period-of time and do not take more time in the
completion comes under the medium- term goals. These goals help in defining “what a
person wants in future”. On the basis of these, the goals has been set.
These goals are different from individual to individual but, the one thing that is
common under this is that, it helps in evaluating the wants and the needs of the people from
their life. Mid-term goals makes the people aware about their upcoming future goals. Giving
a keen focus on these objectives is mandatory as it helps in choosing the path of the career.
Medium-term aims are consists of multiple objectives. Parting up big objectives into the
small objectives has been done under this. It helps in boosting up the people so, they can
consider their future as their primary priority. (Maharaja, 2018). There is no fix time for
setting up these objectives. It can set at any time in life and can achieve by giving full
dedication. It helps in the self-development of the person. In process of achieving the goal,
the person gains many experiences and this results in the self-development of the person. For
understanding the concept of mid-term goal with clearance, here are the three personal
examples:
Completion of the graduation- This is the part of mid-term goal, as it enables the individual
in setting their future aspects related to the career.
Becoming the research analyst- Achievement of this goal results in a better future.
Buying a luxurious house- This goal results in making the life of the person more effective.

The long-term goals are consists of that objectives that a person is planning for
achieving in the near future. The short and medium term goals are part of it. All these goals
takes individual towards bettering the life. It involves the planning regarding family, career
and retirement. These involve every single element of life such as education, family, financial
stability, personal relations and the work aspects. Focusing on long-term objectives from
starting adds up the glory in the life of the people. (Orme-Smith and Spicer, 2018). The main
thing under this goal is that, it should be considered as specific from the starting. There are
lots of fluctuations takes place in the achievement of these goals. The complete dedication
and focus is required in order to face all the difficulties.
These goals take time in the completion as there time frame is long. It takes around 5-
6 years in the completion and even more than that. It is hard to understand these goals within
one try. For understanding and performing it the full knowledge is requires. The person must
set a goal and make it specific. After that, different approaches should be analyzed for
achieving that goal. The main goal has to be parted in different goal so it can become easy to
understand. The person should have a spirit of “i am not giving up” as these goals are time-
consuming. But, once these goals are achieved. The life of the person becomes much
effective. A lot of patience and consistency is required. (O’Brien and Lomas, 2017). Goals
are important for shaping the future and the life of the individual. Goals are needed in order
to achieve those aspects which a person is desiring from the life. This also helps in character
development of the individual as it provides them a sense of bettering the life by deciding the
career platform. It helps in providing security in terms of financial ability. Here are the three
personal examples of the long-term goals.
Dedication towards the fitness- It has been considered as long-term goal as it leads to self
development.
Creating funds for the family and children- This goal is related to the family planning.
Getting retired after the age of 60- It involves the retirement plan and goals for the life after
the retirement.
6. Description and discussion of the value of a Personal
Development Plan
There are several advantages of personal development strategy like this will advise making
strategy towards changing in career path. Also, helps in building knowledge that is based on
current basis. That provides benefits of attaining desires in path of career through
development of personal area. As this gives proper structure in order to determine that which
path to go in their work. Towards aiming of achieving goals of organization and personal
value of desires. Also, helps in improvising plan in new form to make structure properly in
order to improve their capabilities and skills (Siribunyasarn and Chomtohsuwan, 2021).
Through able to development of their personal area of sectors in order to achieve career
goals. By setting objectives, values, awareness in accordance to doing in manner to improve
self-development. The PDP plays an important role in the life of the people as it guides them
to have a better career option. The people can learn something new and innovative while

making their career. These plan keeps people positive during the process of achieving the
goals. It helps in making the person more dedicated towards their objectives.
7.0 Conclusion
The above report concluded that, setting up of goals is mandatory in an individual's life. It
helps in defining the directions of the life. It leads to shaping the future of the person along
with this, it further helps in providing guidance. The report also describes the ways under
which the goals can achieve. Breaking up of the big goals under small goals is required for
making objective achievable. Apart from this, the report also highlighted the concept of PDP.
The personal development plant is mandatory for the self-development of the people.
