Personal statement
My name is Tom Johanis and I live in London. Currently I am working as a Bus Shunter
in Cordant Cleaning LTD in London. I am a hardworking person who put his all efforts and skill
for completing task. I have welcoming, friendly as well as helpful attitude and this attribute of
my personality support in developing valuable relationships in my life. I am well organises
perform as well as quick learner and that is the main reason I want to enhance my skills in
business and management field. I am flexible person and also good with customer services. My
communication skill is very supportive in providing effective and efficient customer’s services.
My other key skills includes good sense of direction as well as my ability to work with people of
different background. I am very punctual and responsible towards my duty and work honestly. I
have working experience in different field and my first job was in 1998. I have started my career
as a curtain designer in Aldo, Bucharesh. I have worked in this profile for around 10 years and
my major job role or responsibility includes selection of decorative items such as colour, lighting
and other materials. In this job I have different client meeting which support me in enhancing my
communication and customer service skills. As a curtain designer it is my job role to prepare
requisition and along with this I have to prepare progress report. This was very good experience
and helped me in developing different skills and capabilities. After this in October 2008 I join
new job as a Driver in EverGreen, Bucharest till 2011. This was also an amazing experience that
was supportive in my new learning’s. While working as a driver in I have develop good driving
skills and along with this enhanced knowledge of defensive driving techniques. In this job role
my responsibility includes carry customer form one place to other, pick and drop of employees,
delivering of important documents to required destination and along with this I have to clean and
maintain vehicle all the time. In June 2011, I was appointed as a Handyman in Quad Contact
LTD, London. As a Handyman my job role was to cleaning facilities by sweeping and dusting,
performing maintenance and light repairs and along with this I have to perform routine
landscaping on the grounds. I have worked as a Handyman till 2013. After this I started my new
job as a Dry liner fixer in Orange in Apple, London. I have worked with this company till July
2015 and my major job role and responsibility was to work from plans to drawing, measuring,
cutting and lay metal track and stud. Along with this I was responsible for hiding pipes and
improve insulations. After this now I am working as Bus Shunter form August 2015. My current

achievement and responsibility for this job role includes to fuel and top up oil on buses, checking
of exterior vehicle lights at wash or pump. I have to exterior clean using vehicles washing
machine and safely park vehicles in designated spaces.
I have done Diploma in Business Administration Level 3, results college, London form
2017 to 2018. After diploma I have pass HNC, Level 4 Business from wonderful college that is
Waltham International College from year 2018 to 2019. All of these working experience of many
years supported me in developing my personality and skills. I want to pursue BA (Hons) short
team course from Waltham International college which is in partnership with Leeds Trinity
University. I feel that this University will be helpful in chasing my dream of becoming a award
winning Stage coach in London. My skills and experience is compete fit for studying in this
University. This will help me in enhancing my capability and potential along with the knowledge
of business and management studies. Educational atmosphere and facilities provided by
University to their student is the main reason I want to apply for BA (Hons) short course in
Business and Management with FY or September 2020. During my Diploma in Business
Administration I have studied business communication, Principle of Administration,
Communication and information, Principe of business as well as Personal and professional
development. All of these topic has helped me in gaining more information and understanding
about Business and Management. Through this I have gain more interest in studying this topic in
more detail and enhance my understanding in order to accomplish my personal as well as
professional goals. HNC, course in Waltham International course was a unique experience of my
life which aid me in developing my personality and confidence. This university will helps in
meeting with people of different background which will assist me in learning more languages
and enhancing my information about different cultural backgrounds. Studying in this University
was like anti stress session and helps in meeting with new people. This University has provided
me valuable relationship or friends as well as assist me in learning new things. My journey in
Waltham International University was amazing and leads to develop my skills in effective
manner.
BA (Hons) program of University will be going to enhance my personality and support
me in changing my life in positive manner. Through this I will be able to overcome the challenge
that is faced as a bus driver in order to become amazing Stagecoach. Waltham International
University is very close to my housing resistance which will help me in saving time for more

study and development of other skills. Studying this short term course form Waltham
International University will support in chasing my dreams and get better opportunity in life for
its growth. This program will lead to cherish my learning experience and gain better
understanding and knowledge regarding different concept of business and management.
