Guidelines for Submission of Assessment:
• It is important that you demonstrate in your answers to the above that you have studied and
understood the course materials and that you apply the relevant theories and concepts.
• You may submit one draft of each assessment in the first instance, make sure that you clearly state
you are submitting a ‘draft’ rather than the final submission, for your tutor to comment on.
Submissions received that are not marked as a ‘draft’ will be considered for final marking. Send draft
submissions for review to your tutor by email to [e-mail]
• Ensure that your presentation is of a high standard in respect of layout, spelling and grammar.
• Ensure that all completed assignments are typed (handwritten assignments are not acceptable) using
size 12 font with a maximum double line spacing, ensuring all pages are numbered correctly, include
a contents page.

• In most cases module assessments are made up of multiple assessment techniques i.e. assignment,
project, learner record, skills demonstration. It is important that you submit all parts of each module
assessment together in one email, they are not to be submitted separately across numerous emails.
The onus is on you the student to ensure that all parts of each assessment have been submitted for
marking to increase your opportunity of achieving the best possible result/grade. Incomplete
submissions will lose marks and therefore reduce your chances of achieving your highest score.
• Also, in light of what is noted above, each assessment submission is to be included in one Word
doc/PDF doc only - meaning that for each module, the number of assessment documents that are
submitted correspond to the number of assessment techniques set down for that module, one doc
per assessment, again numerous documents/separate pages are not acceptable, all parts for each
assessment are to be submitted in one document only.
• You can post your assignment to: The Open College, Unit 9, Leopardstown Business Centre,
Ballyogan Rd, Dublin 18.
• If you are posting assignments do not staple your work but rather clip your pages together using a
paper clip.
• Please DO NOT submit your work bound in a folder.
• Make sure to complete the declaration form and include this as your cover page with all assessment
submissions, complete all relevant parts of this documents to include module title, assessment
