INTRODUCTION
Studying in top college offered my wide opportunities in my career. I belong to a small town
that is situated in Romania. I came to London, UK for pursuing my education in Imperial
College where I got scholarship to study Business management. The other reason for coming to
the big city is for to transform my personality so that I get placement for higher job positions that
will be best for the career (Raut and et. al., 2019). With this course, I have high hopes such as
enhancing my overall personality, getting job with higher salary etc. I feel that the course work
will provide me vast opportunities to provide a nice living to me and my family in coming future.
MAIN BODY
The course work helped me in improving my knowledge to manage issues and critical
situations which I may face at the time of working in popular and large sized organisation. It is
important for me to improve my communication and styles with people that are nearby me. I
feel that communication plays vital role in managing the activities that increases performance
and productivity. With effective communication, people who are working in organisation
identifies and understanding others so they can accept the challenges and change in organisation
and maintain the business (Maunder, 2019). In the course work, I attended various lectures that
helped me widely in improving my personality and having fluency in talking with others.
One of the module that I attended was about learning styles. I learned that there are
various types of learning styles that motivates a learner to adopt effective and certain style while
learning. One of learning style that I feel is effective is verbal style as it in this a person uses
words in speech and writing. As a learner from the module of business management and
effective communication it has explained that without communication and sharing of ideas it
become difficult to operate the business and run it properly. This is important for management to
focuses on different activities and sharing of ideas so new ideas can be get and manage the
activities (Bellon-Harn, Manchaiah and Azios, 2019).
While learning in the course work, I felt that various concepts and aspects are new for
me. I also noticed that The communication influences businesses as proper communication helps
to share the information between employees and perform the task as they have different skills
and proper sources of communication such as mails, SMS, VR etc. that helps to attain the
personal goals. I improved my communication skills by focusing on effective communication

that involves team building, transparency, developing trust, build strong relationship, creativity,
innovation, organisational growth, and employee engagement that helps to maintain the good
performance by sharing ideas and attaining the business goals. I developed myself by using
effective communication skill along with the passion to learn new concepts, theories, practices,
principles and so in in business management.
I also learned about non-verbal communication that includes sharing of ideas through
body language, eye contact, voice and distance that helps to complete the task in certain time by
performing well. People who are working in the college adopts multiple ways of communication.
I made proper emphasis on al the styles and ways that professors.. seniors and other
professionals in the Universirty were using to communicate with each other. I also participated in
various activities that involved non verbal communication such as no speaking acts etc. It
improved performance and increase the productivity. There should be clear and proper delivery
of message between sender and receiver that helps to operate the business and increase the
performance (Patil, 2020).
I feel that my other lectures included English classes and many more have improved my
communication ways with others. Before attending the lecture, I thought that English is very
easy language that can be improved with any classes. But, the module has changed my thinking
and now I believe that attending English classes is must to enhance the vocabulary and usage of
typical words in communication. While studying the course, I also emphasis on feedbacks that I
received from my teachers and made huge efforts to improve them that made me successful in
having proper communication in same fluency with others. With this, I am now able to properly
understand what teachers are saying as well as I also revert them back with same technique that
is adopted by them. I never thought that the lectures will completely change my personality and
will make me a person who is capable to work with population belonging to different nations.
I think that attending the module in Imperial College was one of my great decision as I
got placed in large multinational company wherein the learning helps me to manage day to day
activities and having communication in proper manner with my seniors and colleagues. I never
thought that some day I will at this position as it has changed my life completely. To objective to
developing myself as learner in business management was to enhanced my creativity, innovation
together with identifying transparency (Feinman, 2020). I also improved my style of
communication and learning through hooking with audience via making proper eye contact and

using body language with hand gestures at the time of giving presentations to my seniors and
colleagues in mu professional career. All these are possible through learning in module of
business management.
CONCLUSION
I hope that the course will help me in to mature as learner as when I will apply my theories,
styles and approaches related to learning will leave excellent image in front of my superiors or
other professionals. Moreover, it will further help in in my job opportunities through having one
on one conversation in English language with other and showing my skills to organisational
people in presentations and other activities. With this, may be I will get promotions for higher
job positions and managing performances smoothly.
