consistency and competency of providing the encouragement to the employees, to increase their
levels of performances in the workplace (Wällstedt and Almqvist, 2015, p.20).
Resolving conflicts in the workplace are one of the vital areas of the leadership characteristics
that are required to be established by the individuals in the business organisations. It has been
established in the modern context that the conflicts are commonly encountered in the workplace
by the employees of the business organisations, because of the differences in the workplace and
the cultural, religious, ethnic and the socio-cultural differences among the employees. In these
situations, the leadership qualities of the individuals are required to analyse the situation and
resolve the disputes efficiently and increase the room for the enhancement of cooperation and
communication among the employees at the workplace.
1.3 Evaluating the communication process in selected business
A number of communication processes have been seen to be existent in the general business

with the employees and the authorities and managers of the organisation. At the same time,
communicating allows the organisations to have the better customer relationships and services in
the modern world. Therefore, it may be ascertained that the efficient communication skills are
important to be present among the individuals in the organisation. A number of communication
tools and methods are adopted by the business organisations and these include the administration
of the skills of verbal and nonverbal communication to the employees of the business
organisation. These modes of communication skills provide the advantages for the organisation
to access a large number of the individuals of the workplace or the customers of the company
(Kogg and Mont, 2012, p.160).
However, a number of barriers have been related to the development of the efficient
communication in the selected area of the organisation. These have been sourced to the increase
in the non-cooperation and the differences on the basis of the caste, creed, religion and the
ethnicity of the individuals. Moreover, the formal and the informal methods of communication
are further implemented by the companies to address the physically or mentally backwards
people of the organisation or the customer base of the UK (Lynham and Cunningham, 2006,
p.131).

organisations of the business environments. It has been seen that the individual decisions and the
strategies of the company are required to be prepared in the desired way, by the employees and
the higher management authorities of the organisation. It has been seen that the primary strategy
of the company, is to employ the study of the tastes and the population of the people of the area.
In other words, the demography of the area and the infrastructure of the usual income rates of the
individuals are recorded and analysed by the organisations and the detailed strategies of the
processes are analysed specifically (Pratten, 2012, p.66).

3.1 Leading and motivating a team to an agreed goal and objective
The importance of a team is immeasurable in the terms of achieving the organisational goal. The
achievement of the organisational goal is a success to the organisational cooperation and
coordination. The coordination among the workers and the managers of the organisation marks
the development of the organisation. As suggested by Albon et al. (2016, p.208), the
development of the organisation further supports the team in the achievement of the organisation
goal. The team in an organisation is important to make the organisational objective clear to the
management in the terms of achieving and no just staring. As inferred by Andrejczuk et al.
(2016, p.161), the objective of a team can be organised in proper standard to make the
organisation grow efficiently. The effective form of the team can be managed by the model
suggest by the Dr Bruce Tuckman. The Tuckman model suggests that an organisational team can
be formed in four steps. The primary step is the forming, where the team are organised and
selected for the inclusion of the team members. This step marks the guidance and direction to the
newly selected team members. It is the step where the leader needs to get ready for the question
and to clear the doubt from the team members. The next step is the forming, which marks the
forming of the decision and the expressing of the views and the ideas in the organisation.
However as argued by Fagerholm et al. (2015, p.145), this step marks the signs of argument and
collision between the ideas and the views of another. This stages also includes uncertainties and
issues. The third step marks the clearing of the responsibility and the clearing of the objective
from the leaders and the managers. This step is known as the norming. As suggested by Boies et
al. (2015, p.1081), this step marks the rise in the formation of the team goals leading to the
11
Document Page
achievement of the organisational goal. The fourth step is the performing, which marks the
necessity to get to the actual objective and the goal of the organisation. The actual objective and
the organisation is managed by the team members effectively in this stage.
The work of the members needs to be evaluated every moment and needs t be motivated at every
aspect of the work. As supported by Tomasi et al. (2015, p.304), the writing of the goal to the
workers helps in making them understanding the importance of the job. Then meeting with the
employees in the organisational field helps in making them feel a part of a team. Appraisal for
better work helps in the better improvement of their workers. As inferred by McLaren et al.
(2015, p.113), the appraisal of the workers in the workplace increases the confidence and make
others work harder for the achievement of the organisational goal. Encouraging of the workers
all the way till the end process of the work helps in the keeping up with the spirit and for better
performance towards the organisational goal.
3.2 Justification of managerial decision made to support achievement of agreed goal or
objective and recommendation for improvement
As supported by Albon et al. (2016, p.225), the managerial role in an organisation plays an
important role in the development of the organisation. The development of an organisation can
be only achieved with the better performance of the workers in the organisation. The better
performance of an organisational worker can be maintained by the proper management
performance of the managers in the organisation. Evaluation of the performance annually by the
managers act as one of the important responsibility of the managers. As supported by Mwaniki et
al. (2015, p.399), positive feedback and support to the organisational workers is another
important role of the managers in an organisation.
The planning is an important part of the organisation going toward the achievement of the goal.
The development of the organisation needs proper achievement of the organisation in form of
planning. As mentioned by Clark and Vernon (2015, p.298), the planning is a process which
contains three steps and stages in the formation. The first and the initial level is the corporate
level of planning. This level suggests strategic planning to the higher tier organisation. The CEO
and the managers of the organisation are included in this level of planning. This level of planning
is for the proper development of the robust planning and the strategic development of the
organisation. The next level is the Business level of planning. Every business in an organisation
needs to formulate their own planning in terms of the development of the organisation. The
12
Document Page
development in terms of every business will result in further development of the organisation.
The third stage is the functional level, which helps in the supporting of the business. Human
resource, finance and the marketing are included in this stage.
As suggested by Dalton et al. (2015, p.75), the better organisation in terms of performance can
only maintain with the following of the ethics and the codes of the organisation. The better
support of the organisation is formed by the proper planning on the achievement of the funds and
the resources. The better development in an organisation can be organised by an organisation
with proper planning on the allocation of the resources in the organisation. The support towards
the employees should be increased, in order to hike the motivation among the. As mentioned by
Lawther (2015, p.135), the hike in the motivation of the employees in an organisation seems to
be the most powerful element in the development of an organisation.
LO4
4.1 Explanation of the way managerial and personal skill support career development
One of the most important factors of the organisational development is the aspect of the self-
evaluation. The self-evaluation by a manager marks the chance of greater development and the
marking of the weakness and working on it. As supported by Akkermans et al. (2015, p.550), the
proper development of the organisation and the achievement of the organisational goal gets
easier with the proper achievement all the desired managerial skills in an organisation. The
career development thus acts one of the importance that need to be supported in terms of making
the organisation flourish.
The relevant career development plan depends upon the relevancy of the managerial skills in the
organisation. The common managerial skills like the communication skill help in the better
support and the understanding of the views of the organisational workers. The better
communication skill marks the rise in the understanding of the fat in the deep sense and solving a
problem in an effective manner. The skill of thinking helps a manager to take innovative ideas in
the organisation. As supported by Pineau Stam et al. (2015, p.198), there is always a space for
innovation in the organisation. The support and the care to the workers through the innovative
ideas mark the development of the career in an organisation. The learning skill in organisational
managers marks the chance of gaining new information and raises the chance of implication of
the ideas. As inferred by Duffy et al. (2015, p.139), the skill of learning new things in an

organisation marks the development of the organisation in terms of the better implication of
ideas and theories.
The personal skills also play the vital role in the development of the career. The attitude of the
managers marks special importance over the work in the organisation. The attitude of the
managers in the organisation marks the type of the environment the organisation supports. The
development of the organisation in form of the attitude has healthy productivity. As suggested by
Wald et al. (2015, p.759), the attitude of the managers makes the difference in between the form
of the work the organisation believes in. The behaviour of the managers in the organisation
towards the workers in the organisation supports sustainable and cooperative growth. The
behaviour of the managers needs to be cooperative towards to the workers and needs to be
changed in terms of the grave situation. The behaviour towards a work says all regarding the
process that needs to be maintained in achieving the goal and the objective in an organisation. As
supported by Gentry et al. (2015, p.683), the adaptability is one of the most important personal
skill that needs to be furnished in every manager. The adaptable nature of every manager marks
the development of the organisation. The support from the organisational managers supports the
workers in unfavourable condition and helps in coping with the situation. The managers need to
be informative regarding the possible changes in the organisation. The possible changes need to
be dealt with support and confidence. The facing of the problems and achieving success marks
the development in the organisation. The aspiration of the organisational managers must be in
terms of the organisational requirement. The proper achievement of the organisation is due to the
aspiration of the managers. The aspiration of a manager marks the rise in the chances of the
achievement of the organisational goal.
4.2 Reviewing of career and personal development needs, current performance and future
needs to produce development plan
As supported by Harris et al. (2015, p.15), the career development plan is series of action and not
a single action. The career development plan needs to be managed and organised in a proper
manner to maintain the success rate of the plan. The organised work of the career plan needs to
be so devised that it meets the organisational goal and also provide enough support to the
personal needs and goal. The career development plan generally suggests the work of the
personal development in one group or inter organisational. The career development directly links
14
Document Page
the objective of the organisation and the development of the organisational goal. The proper
development of the both scenario, makes the organisation grow in a sustainable manner.
The term personal development suggests the further improvement of the skills and the
opportunities that a person has. The proper term of the personal development can be measured in
a sense of self supporting needs. The objective of the organisation needs to be so supportive that
the personal development of an individual goes along with the development of the organisation.
As suggested by Battilana et al. (2015, p.1684), the ways and the process of improving oneself in
accordance to the organisational goal and for the coping with the changes in the organisational
environment is termed as the personal development. The increasing of the wealth,
communication skill, qualification and the employability skills are included in the form of the
personal development.
The personal plan needed for the better development is trying to make the communication skill
more accurate and properly coordinated. The patience and the skill of tolerating need to be
inculcated in innovative way. For the increment of the tolerance joining of the meditation class
can be joined. The understanding of the issues and the problems of the customer’s needs be
developed further. The purpose of the organisational goal needs to be well defined and
understood, before enacting on a particular work. The achievements of the organisational goals
need to be supported by the proper work of the personal development.
Conclusion
The above assignment suggests that the proper achievement of the organisational goal can be
achieved with the only successful delivery of the personal skill and the organisational skill. The
objective of the organisation always remains to be achievement of the goal. The support of the
motivation and the enthusiasm works a lot in an organisation. The actual support of the career
development and the personal plan helps in the better development of the work force in an
organisation. The better support and the organisational growth mark the development of the
organisation and the growth of the society.
