INTRODUCTION
Business management refers to the proper management of functions of the organization
such as planning, organizing of marketing human resource, and finance within an organization.
To manage these programs of the organization needs proper panning and organization requires
proper skills and training in the company. In this report the Unilever has selected, it is a British
multinational customer’s goods company. (Davis, and Comeau, 2020) The product of company
food, baby food, cheese, tea etc. Company is the largest producer of soap in the world. This
report includes the various roles of HR, finance, and marketing functions within an organization.
It also includes understand of collaborative working of these functions. Further, explanation of
internal and external factors of the organization. In the last role of financial management in the
organization.
TASK 1
Explain the role of HR, Marketing and finance functions within organisations
The HR, marketing, and finance have important role in organization. Below is the detail
examination of these functions within a respective Unilever company.
Human Resource:
This function of the refers to the workforce of the organization that work for the
development and the growth of the organization. In the context of Unilever company the
employees and staff of the organization plays important role in the growth of the organization.
(Lombardi, 2018) the managers of the organization helps the employees to be motivated so that
they can give effective productivity for the organization.
Recruitment and selection: This process of HRM function helps in analysis the need of
candidates in the company. This explain the process of requirement and selection
includes the understanding about all the vacant positions in the company so that human
resource manager can fulfil those positions. The employer of the company make strategic
plan to fulfil those needs in the organisation. So that they can work with more
effectiveness and profitability.
Marketing:
This refers to the activity that company done in order to promote or sell the product and
services and give customer satisfactions form their offerings. In the context of Unilever

Company marketing is very important function of the organization that helps the organization to
make best strategies for the promotion and sells of their product and services in the market. They
use effective marketing strategies which helps the organization in the increasing the customer
base of organization.
Finance:
It includes all the activities related to the money flow in the organization that helps in
proper planning of the activities of the company. in the context of the Unilever organization
finance is very important function of the organization that helps in the planning of the resources
in the organization.

Develop an understanding of collaborative working practices
All these functions of the organization plays important role in the organization. To
become successful organization the collaborative working of these practices if very important.
The marketing and HR works together to make the organization grow and successful. The
employee’s works for better productivity and the marketing mangers of the organization helps in
the promotions and sells of the product and service. (Lombardi, 2019) It is very important for
the organization to provide proper finance resource to both these function so that they can work
better for the growth of the company. Thus, collaborative working of these resources is important
in Unilever organization so that company can grow in the industry.

impact on the business of Unilever organization such change in the economy policy, change in
the export and import rules of the organization etc.
Social factors: This factor refers to the different culture and belief of the people of the
country that have an impact on the business of Unilever.
Technological factors: The technology factors refer to the new innovation in the
technology in the market that has an impact on the performance of the Unilever
organization.

The finance function of organization plays important role in the growth of the company.
The financial activities of company help in the growth and development of the company. Finance
department of the (Rădulescu, Dobrea, and Burlacu, 2018) organization helps in the proper
management of all the resources in the organization. Also this function helps in the providing
finance to all the department of the organization. Thus, finance function of the organization
helps in proper development and the growth of the organization.
CONCLUSION
From the following dissection it can be conclude that proper management of all the
functions of the company helps the organization gain competitive advantages and grow in the
market. The internal and external environment of an organization has impact on the growth of
organization. And the finance function of the organization plays an impotent role in the growth
of the company.
