INTRODUCTION
Business management is that part of education which provides skills knowledge training related
to the supervision execution and planning in a business organization. In this field students learn
about the various ways to establish different forms of organizations and their operational levels
like financial production human resource sales marketing and many more(Brauckmann,
Pashiardis and Ärlestig, 2020). A study of business management is very essential for the
development of students in the education sector. It not only improve their business skills but also
help them to develop their academic and professional skills full stop academic and professional
skills are two different things but similar to each other in some ways as they include those skills
which are related to learning and help for an achieving success in the career of students. This
presentation contains importance of studying business management and the challenges faced by
students during that study it also contains the importance of academic and professional
development in the students. An important skill which is required by a student to achieve success
is effective communication as it also helps them in teamwork and other required skills which is
explained in this presentation.

Challenges of studying Business management
Learning of business management is essential for every student matter of which field they belong
to. but there are several problems and challenges which are faced by management of education
and institutions regarding the study of business management(Chen, 2020). Not only management
but also students face various challenges in studying business management. These challenges
include funding of research quality of student faculty availability of faculty uneven industry
development skills development theoretical course structure lack of facilities and many more.
Some of them are described below:
Research and research funding: As business management is a practical concept there is a need
of research in order to learn business management. Individual should search on the management
of business of various businesses in order to attain practical experiences of the problems faced by
business organizations(Wasik and Hindman, 2020). But research needs a proper funding which is

is a problem or challenge faced by individuals and management of institutes to provide their
students this facility of research.
Availability of faculty: to provide a proper knowledge and learning of business management it
is essential to get a faculty with essential skills and knowledge to provide the individuals best
learning in this field. Management of education faces so many problems related to the faculty as
there is a problem to hire a faculty with in-depth knowledge of business management(Ercan and
Ivanova, 2020).
Uneven development of industry: Uneven development of industry is also a problem which is
faced by management of institutions and their students as the availability of faculty is depend
upon the development of the institution(Yang, Liu and Gardella Jr, 2020). The uneven
development of the industry also leads to face various challenges in the management of business
and other factors.
Theoretical course structure: Business management has its course in theoretical manner which
is is not good for the learning of business management business management is a practical
concept and needs so much experience to develop skills in the management of business.
Experience can be gained by an individual why facing real life problems in a business. Although
it is not possible to provide proper experience to the students business environment is dynamic in
nature. But student can get experience of some of the major problems which are faced by each
and every business. In order to provide this experience it is required to provide a proper training
or internships to the students of business management which is not possible for the management
of every educational institution(Featherstone and Owen, 2020). Taking experience of real-life
problems faced by business is a great challenge of studying business management

Academic development refers to the development of academic skills in a person skills include
various skills such as independent learning, academic writing presentation skills and many more
which includes more complex skills like reflective practice and critical thinking where is
professional skills are the skills which are developed by individual From practical situations like

skill needs to be developed in an individual as they are important for them for their future

organization. it also depends upon the position level and characteristics of internal as well as
external environment in the firm(Price and Campbell, 2020). But an important skill which is
required in every field and industry is effective communication effective communication is
essential to be developed by an individual as it fulfills the need of every another skill required to
get success in their career. Effective communication is nothing but a process of interchanging
thoughts ideas knowledge and data in the best possible manner with another person or a group.
Effective communication includes so many skills such as active listening confidence respect
empathy normal pitch many more. In order to develop effective communication following steps
can be taken by an individual
Active listening: The biggest challenge faced in the business by an individual is poor listening.
Order to fulfill demands of various people and used in the business it is important to listen them
active listening helps to provide more innovative ideas for the business which is essential for the
success of any business.
Non verbal communication: Nonverbal communication refers to the actions or gestures or
postures of individual either during their verbal communication or reaction on a person's
communication(Sahdiyah, 2020). Nonverbal communication is very important to be learnt by
students as they provides for the reaction of the other person and is effective to understand more
than verbal communication.

Maintain eye contact: Eye contact is also essential to show effective communication as it
signifies confidence in the person who is engaged in communication. Eye contact shoes that the
information exchanged during the communication is true and can be relied it puts a positive
effect on the listener of information. Hence, to effectively communicate the message it is
essential to develop a habit to maintain eye contact with the receiver of message.
There are some steps which are followed to develop effective communication in an individual
which are given below
The foremost element for effective communication is to to observe the things and
evaluate them on the basis of hearing and observation(Shaw, 2020).
Next element of effective communication is to express and understand feelings through
gestures and postures to the receiver of the message in effective manner that the message
delivered to them should not be misinterpreted.
The next step in effective communication is 2 to provide clarity in voice and politeness to
effectively communicate the message and avoid misunderstanding in the tone.
Step of effective communication says that the communication for the language used in
the communication should be understandable to both the parties as it is important for
effective communication to provide message in a understandable language

From the above discussion it can be concluded that business management is essential to learn by
every individual no matter of their field but it also faces so many challenges to fulfill the learning
of business management. Study of business management helps to develop various academic and
professional skills which are required individual for their career. The most important skill which
is required by an individual to attain success in their life and future businesses is is effective
communication. Effective communication not only refers to the exchanging of message from one
individual to another individual or group but also includes various factors such as active
listening, non verbal communication, clarity invoice, volume during communication and many
more. There is a need to develop effective communication in individual for their growth.
