INTRODUCTION
Business management is known as the coordination and the organization of various business
activities and this is the field that can enhance the confidence and team leading and managing
power of a student in an effective way as business management further always help in reaching
the productivity level in job roles and also helps in attaining the financial and operational
objective of the organization. This is a reflective report which assesses the experience of learning
business management and the challenges which I have faced in pursuing this as a subject it also
involves the reason for choosing a pathway and it also involves the skills which have developed
by which pathway.
TASK
Gibbs reflective model for the report
Studying business management helped me to gain academic knowledge as well as skill for
pursuing international career opportunities together with developing wider understanding related
to business along with specific areas including human resource, marketing, finance and so on. To
reflect my experience for selected pathway, I have used Gibbs Reflective model which allows
me to learn over time on the basis of experiences and presenting more accurate judgements.
Mentioned below are stages of Gibbs Reflective Model for my experience:
Description: It was a great experience as well as the opportunity for experiencing a
professional course that has improved my management skills efficiently as this was a
transferable course that I can even apply in practical life as this is a journey of leading a small
team to a big team effectively as I am also interested in eco-friendly manufacturing, therefore,
this degree turned more beneficial for me. As this degree also had varied sources involved which
makes me learn new and innovative knowledge and skills regarding different departments as it
involves marketing, human resource management, finance, and entrepreneurship. As this also
builds confidence and makes the right view and analysis of the industry with different insights.
This is considered helpful as pursuing a degree as this developed management skill which build
up in communication, organizing, project management, critical thinking, reporting, and problem-
solving skills (Jena, 2020).
Feeling: My feelings in Business Management pathway was good. This has also
experienced gain experience in real-life multiple fields because of the activities and surveys. This

combining different interests and work in a group. As this also increased the inner employability
of the student and they will work in a team and a management position of some organization as
the subject of marketing and branding made me known about new and innovative techniques of
marketing and branding of any product in a new way as marketing are the skills of attracting
people towards the products (Brondoni, 2018).
Evaluation: It has been evaluated that there were various challenges and likes related to
the course of pathway. Connecting with new people was challenging for me initially as for
adjusting to the new surroundings and being comfortable with the other students for doing a task
in a team as other than management subject mostly there is an individual task but as in this, there
is a team-based senior task which made me little nervous and found challenging in working and
adjusting with the surrounding and doing marketing related tasks (Tsyganov, 2019, July). As
with many tasks and projects it had become challenging for me to do all the assignments and
presentations on time and from my point of view as it become difficult to schedule everything
perfectly in this course which had resulted in hectic and more time-consuming tasks and
academic group tasks (Lombardi, 2019). However, this subject has developed my skills at
various points as this business management course has many signs which had improved the
individual department skills like marketing, branding, advertising, management, finance, and
strategic planning as these programs have resulted in marketable in the workforce (Haldorai,
Ramu, and Murugan, 2018). This subject has provided a competitive edge and this degree is
considered professional and unique which makes the person different from the various
competitor in the market as this study has developed various thinking processes such as it had
developed leadership skills, decision-making skills, strategic thinking skills, problem-solving
skills, and communication skills.
Analysis: It has been analysed that choosing business management as a pathway subject,
helped in increasing various skills which will also result beneficial in the future. Analytical
reasoning skills is an effective data analysis skill which is known as the most reliable skill which
I had learned from business management as this helps in critical and reasoning thinking which
will result beneficial in operating a business and identifying the various datasets and market
trends for stimulation of the solution of business problems (Nisula, and Pekkola, 2018). I had
also gained leadership skills which are essential for every managerial position as this is known as

which are considered an essential tool in the competitive economy this also explores the viability
of new goods and services in the market this is important to develop as this helps the business is
growing to strengthen their position and this skill also analyses the potential opportunities and
threats in the market (Maunder, 2019). I had chosen this subject pathway as this is a professional
course that can turn beneficial in my career and this will also help in learning the new skills
which are required to run a business and this also experience of solving real-life business
problems which need to be analysed deeply and resolved. As I choose the subject for increasing
academic knowledge and exploring various skills which also develops a broad understanding of
the organizations this also helps in marketing to the audience and also benefits in financial terms
as In budgeting and accounting. This is also developed by project management skills which
increases the abilities and capabilities of analysing the effective marketing tool.
