1.0 Self-reflection on personal learning and development,
and the transferable skills
Personal learning may be defined as an educational approach that assist an
individual in customized there learning, strengths, needs, skills and many more
things(Ryan, Soenens and Vansteenkiste, 2019). This provide opportunities to them
to effectively reflects upon their learning and shape their future towards successful
position. The main concern of the personal learning is that this make sure the
enhancement of new skills within an individual which result in their development. On
the other hand, transferable skills may be defined as those skills which can be used
by the individual in variety of role as well as occupation(Bucknell, Kangas and Crane,
2022). It is very important for a person to possess the transferable skills within
themselves because this not only contributes to their success but also contributes to
the success of team, customers and organization.
1.1 Identification and reflection on my approach to personal
learning and development
Personal learning and development is being considered as most crucial process for
an individual. This process comprises the development of new skills as well as
knowledge within an individual throughout their life(Olsen, Sverdrup and Kalleberg,
2019). This helps me out in looking for new opportunities on regular basis along with
inner capabilities that are essential in personal and professional development. It help
me to identify the my strengths and weaknesses. Through this I recognized that
what I need to work on and improve. it helps an individual to work smarter. An
important source of learning is the process and results of monitoring and evaluation
(Akben, 2020). The idea of personal development is not only limited to self
development but it also involve formal and informal activities . for example
counseling, teaching, guidance, mentoring, and managing.

Following are the transferable skills which I develop while attending this
module
communication : it is an ability to impart information to another person by
speaking in a fluent way. A good communication skills help you in several
ways like sharing your ideas and thoughts in clear and concise manner
fluently asking questions, talking to people in many contexts. By attending this
module it helps in improving the communication skills by way of
communicating with the team while working the this project. Though teams
members are professionals, by interacting with them regarding the work

points which I get to know after interacting with them. This helps me to
improve the communication skills while attending this module
problem solving : it is another valuable transferable skill which is mainly
required by the employers regarding the job position. Problem solving skills
not only identify that there is a problem but also help to find out the cause
behind the problem. While attending this model there are number of problem
arise. Regularly solving and finding out the cause behind the problems
helped me in developing the problem solving skill while attending this module
teamwork : teamwork is working together with people as a group for a
common goal. It is an opportunity for an individual to work with groups and
communicate with people from the different department. It helps in
communicating with new people and improves the communication skills and
gives the knowledge about the teamwork. While attending this module teams
were created for the accomplishment of particular task . To be a part of this
team provides a new experience of working with teams member enhance the
skills of teamwork
