Personal Statement
Business management is a field that requires practical knowledge for applying various ideas and
strategies to perceive any business goal. This sector has many opportunities that can lead to
success. I have always been inclined towards getting a successful career growth, as I have seen
the issues due to poverty since my childhood. I can easily remember that I was passionate about
getting a good career scope that will give me a luxurious lifestyle. Throughout my studies, I
perceived that business studies require a vast knowledge of different sectors in order to get a
prominent growth in this field. There are various qualities, which an individual should have to
get a prominent growth in this field. I found that I have towards pursuing this course of B.A
(Honours) in business studies. This course will gradually help me in building up my skills to
tackle different situations that can take place within the organisation. After doing a lot of
research, I came across this course having contents such as marketing, customer handling,
finance, operational activities and others, which will eventually help me in building my career in
business marketing. This course will also help me in learning about different business strategies
and policies, which is required at the time of planning and decision-making. By enrolling myself
in this course, I can perceive vast knowledge about different aspects of the business that can be
applied in different business situations. Since my childhood, I was inclined towards managing
different tasks where I observed that I have the ability to make good decisions and possess
management skills and interpersonal skills. I found that I could get a prominent growth in the
field of business marketing. My passion for business marketing helped me to take the decision of
choosing the course of B.A (Honours) in business studies. After my higher secondary, I
voluntarily started working as a marketing intern where I identified many abilities in me, which
can lead me towards getting a prosperous future growth. During my internship, my manager gave
me a task to create a marketing plan for launching a product in the market. I participated in that
task by making various strategic methods for implementation for the launch of the new product.
The launch will help the company is gaining more profits. That task helped me to identify my
decision-making and problem-solving skills. This internship helped me in understanding the
various aspects of business marketing. I have somewhat gained practical knowledge of business

marketing, but I have a keen interest in knowing this subject in an in-depth manner. Hence, I
chose to be enrolled for the course of B.A (Honours) in business studies.
During my higher studies, I found that I have generated a new hobby of reading articles from the
journals of famous entrepreneurs. I eventually realised that the practice of reading articles and
magazines written by famous entrepreneurs have driven me towards my chosen career field.
While reading the articles, I observed that every entrepreneur has reached their goals through
hard work and determination. The motivational background stories of famous entrepreneurs such
as Bill Gates helped me to become focused on achieving my career goals in my life. My passion
for becoming a marketing manager led me towards getting more inclined towards getting a
degree in business studies. I firmly believe that by completing this course I will be able to fulfil
my aspirations and goals.
Coming to my background, I come from a lower middle-class family where I did not have the
facilities to choose a course I am interested in. After completing my studies, I observed my
passion towards business marketing and hence my colleagues during my internship period
suggested me to pursue the course of B.A (Honours) in business studies as I have passed my
exams successfully. I also believe that this course will help me in achieving my personal and
professional goals. There are a few points, which I have pointed out below that are the strong
reason for me choosing this course. I have a firm belief that if I am choosing to pursue a course, I
should have an interest in that course. After hours of researching, I found that this course can
help me get closer to my ultimate goal. I also researched that the faculty teaching this course are
renowned and have significant knowledge in the field, which will eventually help me to gain
more knowledge.
This course consists of the contents that are related to my aim of becoming a marketing manager.
There are subjects like marketing, customer handling, operations and others that will help to get
a precise knowledge of marketing. While doing my internship, I observed that by enrolling
myself in the course I will be able to be in a surrounding where I can extract ideas which will
help in developing my interpersonal skills. This course is known for its methods involved in
teaching as they are innovative. I can learn new approaches and ideas that will aid me to develop
my strategic and decision-making skills. After a lot of research on this particular course, I have

chosen one of the most renowned universities for pursuing this course. I decided to pursue my
course from the Imperial College of London. I have chosen this college because it has a good
reputation in the city along with an excellent faculty and alumni members. They provide
theoretical knowledge along with proper practical training to the students that will help to expand
the knowledge of students. The students in this college are selected based on their merit.
Therefore, I can be in a surrounding where I can gain knowledge from others. They also conduct
extracurricular activities, which will help in reducing the stress and increasing productivity
among the students. Hence, I believe that after passing from this university I can achieve my
future aspirations.
