Introduction
This report consist of four portfolios' which are named as CV, artifacts, skill
certificate, professional certificate. Along with this, reflection was provided which
helped in denoting the skills which are required for business development and being
an effective student of business management in higher education.
Portfolio evidence (1) CV

This is the CV which is being framed for the individual seeking job for the
position which is related to Business Management or Business Administration. The
student is seeking job for the specific role which enables him/her in analyzing and
evaluating their true potential for the job role they are applying for. This will also help
in channelizing the aspects of how the growth and development of the student will be
achieved by keeping the scales of success high and performing significantly within

an organization so that it helps in achieving the job role best suited for at right time
being appointed.
Portfolio evidence (2) Artifacts
The artifacts which are involved in this portfolio are gaining the skills which
are required in the business development in higher education. The skills which are
gained in business development in higher education commemorates that through
SWOT analysis, PDP, skill audit and reflection, the artifacts are accumulated and are
involved in the process of framing the skills. The skills were defined through these
processes while continuing this course which is business development or business
administration course. The course has helped in analyzing the skills which have
been developed through these artifacts which are developing of the PDP plan and
SWOT analysis. During the course, there are major aspects which are being
considered and helps in knowing the major aspects through which all the artifacts
have helped in gaining the knowledge of how the business development skills are
maintained and helps in achieving personal future success factors. The main aim of
the artifacts is that it helps in improving and enhancing the skills and abilities which
help in developing the career effectively. During the business development skills
which are required in higher education the main aim of the course is delivering the
basis through which all aspects are reviewed which help in denoting and gaining the
scale of how the SWOT analysis was framed, Personal Development Plan was
developed along with the skill audit which were known and through the written
reflection for the skills to be known.
The main aim of the skills which were learned in the process during learning
the business development course, it helped in achieving the aspects through which
the individual will be able to enhance and develop the scales of being a professional
in the same field. The course also made learn how the skills were identified along
with the weaknesses, opportunities and threats through the SWOT analysis. The
reflection helped in knowing about self that what are the aspects through which skills
can be developed and capabilities can be signified at large scale. This helped in
engaging the individual by learning new things about self and analyzed the scale
through which all the essential aspects are considered in denoting and channelizing
the growth both on personal and professional level. Business development skills will
also help in improving the older patterns and will change with the aspect through
which effective measures of business development skills are identified and evaluated
by the efforts made the student while studying in higher education. The reflection
was framed which helped in analyzing the skills which the individual incurs and this
helped in knowing what are the changes and improvements which are needed by the
individual during the course learning process to be completed effectively.
The artifacts which were utilized for knowing the abilities and skills involved in
the course of business administration. Therefore, with the help of the artifacts
mentioned, the main aim of gaining the abilities and skills were known and how they
were improved at large scale were analyzed effectively and in appropriate manner.
This also engaged the individual in noting down the skills which needed
improvement and in what time they will be accomplished within the set targets and
time to be framed in the PDP. This also helped in channelizing and adapting the
basis through which all measures are conducted for evaluating and denoting of how
the future can be improved with the success to be gained. This will help in making
the perspective through which learning during the course helped in gaining the
business perspective towards knowing the skills which are required for being a

business professional. Among all the artifacts, each artifact denoted its value and
importance in knowing the basis through which effective measures are taken into
consideration and this enabled in knowing the perspectives of how measurable the
artifacts are helping in gaining the knowledge and resources skillfully for improving
the personal and professional life of an individual. Therefore, the individual through
this analysis is able to measure its own performance and helped in knowing the
aspects through which all major concern in developing skills were known at large
scale. This helped in knowing the aspects of growth and development within self
and changes have been denoting what are the other effective skills required in
professional development and personal development seeking measures throughout
course to be run effectively and performed by achieving target which has been
framed throughout the course to be identified at large scale. This helped in
contributing to the course effectively.
Portfolio evidence (3) Skill certificate
During this module we were provided with an opportunity to participate within
an opportunity to participate within a certification course for development of skills.
So, I had participated in ‘Business communication skill certificate’ for bringing
improvement within my both oral and written communication skills that can be used
by me in professionally. It is extremely important to understand different difference
between formal business communication and informal personal level communication.
The main reason because of which I had chosen this skill certification was because
during placement I had observed that most of the students failed to get their desired
jobs as they lacked business communication skills. This certification Couse directly
helped me in understanding major difference between informal communication and
business communication. Not only this, this certification further helped me in
enhancing my overall communication skills that can be used as an advantage for
gaining my desired job position. During this module I have also understand that as a
business management student one should have command over their formal oral and
written communication skills as it is one of the main and major requirements of all the
organizations. In fact, most of the firms prefer candidate who have such kind of
certifications as they can be ensured that such candidates can easily communicate
with important clients’ customers, senior management, board of directors and to
other important stakeholders of organizations.

During the academic career, I have been able to further develop
professional experience by taking up finance course in business
management course for extended specific rise based on larger intricate
arenas. The finance course, has motivated me to develop proper
understanding about recent findings and further worked on to enhance
new arenas for larger competencies diversely. By taking up finance
course, and to leverage specific rise on for extended new Woking
experience worked on to develop proper academic performance growth
significant. I have been able to be accurate among finance projects,

range for competitive academic growth. Furthermore, I have been also
able to develop finance knowledge, proper functional response and be
significantly motivated to develop proper response regarding functionally
oriented parameters within academic projects. I have been also able to
further develop huge range of competencies to develop high range of
efficacy based on new academic standards. The finance course certificate
also motivated me to further gain expertise vitally and enhance

a) Reflect on being an effective student of Business
Management in higher education.
In order to become an effective business management student in high
education it is extremely important for a student to have various kinds of skills
required by them to become an effective business management student in higher
studies ( Radovic Markovic and Salamzadeh, 2018). I think, I can be an effective
student for business management in higher education. This is because a business
management student should have effective communication skills and should have
command over their language as well as should understand difference between
formal business communication and informal communication. Due to this I think I can
become an effective business management student as I have done my skill
certification in business communication that has helped in enhancing my both oral
and written communication skills that can be used in organizations formally. An
effective business management student should also understand ways in which they
can showcase their skills, education and knowledge to professionals and this can be
easily done with the help of and effective and appropriate CV (Prasad, 2020). This
module completion helped me in learning ways in which an effective CV can be
developed and ways in which our skills, knowledge and experience can be
showcased in order to showcase oneself as an appropriate candidate for desired job
position. Employability is one of the main required quality of an effective business
management studies student. I have can easily showcase my employability skill as
an effective student of business management with the help of my professional
certificate in which I have learnt different kinds of skills, courses and gained
knowledge about finances, management, human resources etc. This processional

training certificate helped me in becoming an effective business management
student and has further helped me in becoming an efficient and highly skills and
qualified candidate for my desired job position in a top company.

success.
This module has helped me in developing various kinds of skills that can be
used by me or can assist me for achievement of personal and future success. This
module helped me in providing an opportunity of working on my existing skills that
further helped me in achieving my pre- defined academic goals that can further help
in achieving success. During this module different kinds of educational and personal
development models understanding was provided using which I was able to
understand ways in which one can work upon our existing skills so that those skills
can eb enhanced. Completion of this module directly helped in providing different
kinds of opportunities for bringing development within oneself, my existing skills,
developed new skills for achievement of success in future and personally.
During this module we were asked to develop out own CV so that I can showcase
my existing skills, knowledge, qualification, certification that I have completed. In
other words, CV development provided me with an opportunity to make employers
understand that I have required skills experience, qualification that are required for
the job. In simple words development of effective CV can directly help in achieving
desired career goals and objectives and can further help in providing a path for
reaching desired position. This was on of the most important opportunity provided to
me for developing career for desired role in this competitive job market.
This module completion further helped me in developing many other kinds of
required skills for achievement of personal and future success with the help of skill
certificate. participation in the exam for gaining skill certificate helped me in
developing effective communication skills (both oral and written) helped in gaining
self- confidence, further helped me in learning ways in which we can work and learn
in an ethical manner. This skill certificate further helped me in strengthening my CV
so that I can easily apply for desired job position. This further helped in enhancing
my self- confidence and made me much more confident that I can easily achieve
success in future both personally and professionally. During this module we were
required to complete different task that further helped me in enhancing my overall
skills and knowledge which is useful for enhancing one’s own contribution of
academic and professional growth. During this module I was able to acquire many
other kinds of skills such as inter-personal skill, team working skills, problem solving
skills. These skills can help me in providing assistance for achievement of desired
achieve personal and future success. I was also able to gain professional certificate
that further helped in acquiring various kinds of skills such as IT skills, academic
integrity etc. This professional certificate was not only useful in developing skills but
also helped me in acquiring knowledge useful for development of a successful
career. Not only this, it further helped me in understanding ways in which from time
to time one’s own CV can be updated from time to time for achievement of desired
future professional goals and objectives.
Skill acquisition is one of the most important thing which is required to be
focused upon by a student that can directly help in providing pathway of achieving
success in future. Completion of this module provided me with various kinds of

opportunities such as develop new skills, enhance existing skills, bring improvement
within learning and strategies used for learning, develop goals and objectives that
can be used for achievement of long and short terms foals so that a successful
professional career can be developed. This module played a vital and important role
in moving forward for achieving desired career goals and future success.
Explanation of two models of academic and personal
development and how this has improved my
learning.
Model 1
There are various kinds of academic and professional development models
that can be used for bringing improvement within one’s own learning. It is important
to identify and appropriate personal development model that can be used for
identifying areas to be improved and development so that improvement within one’s
own learning can be brought as it can eventually help in achievement of pre-defined
goals and objectives for achievement of success in personal and professional life.
Personal development model explains that development of positive human
relationship can directly help a person to grow. Adoption of this model can directly
help a student. This is because adoption of this model by teachers can directly help
teachers in making students explore new ideas, support them during their learning,
help students by providing opportunities for enhancing their own skills and
knowledge that can be used by them for bringing improvement within their learning.
Not only this if this model is applied in an appropriate and effective manner then it
can directly help in bringing improvement within one’s own learning. If this model is
adopted by teachers in an appropriate manner, then with the help of this module
students can be encouraged for learning so that they can easily prepare themselves
for their exams, share information with others, provide constructive feedback so that
students can bring improvement within themselves and identify scope of
improvement within themselves. This model can be applied by both teachers and
students. Teachers can use this model for helping studies to bring improvement
within their skills and knowledge, whereas students can use this model to conducing
skill audit of their own for identifying skills and knowledge to be improved or learned.
I will use this model of personal development for assessing my current or existing
skills and knowledge and on the basis of this assessment I will set some short and
long terms goals to be achieved by me and then work upon achievement of those
goals. This process will eventually bring improvement within by learning in an
appropriate manner.
Model 2
There are many different kinds of academic development models that
can be used by us for bringing improvement within learning. One of the models is
academic skill building model. Adoption of this model can directly help in integrating
academic skills for skill development within learning practices. This model provides
an opportunity to students so that they can share their existing knowledge, practice
and activities with others so in order to bring improvement within others skills,
knowledge and skills. This model is mostly used by undergraduate or graduate
students for enhancing their overall learning experience through a variety of

resources. Adoption of this model helped me in learning ways in which we can take
better notes so that those notes can be used in future. Not only this, it further helped
in bringing improvement within my study habits. Bringing improvement within my
study habits directly helped me in learning in much better manner. Adoption of this
model helped me in taking feedback in constructive manner which eventually helped
in bringing improvement within my concentration, time management and motivation.
All of these habits eventually helps in identifying ways in which I can use resources
for achievement of long and short term goals. All of these activities directly helped in
enhancing my overall learning which eventually provided me with a support for
achievement of desired academic goals and objectives.
