Introduction
Business model canvas is a lean startup and strategic management template which is used for
documenting and developing new business models. Business model canvas contains elements which
describe the company’s key partners, activities, resources, value proposition, customer relationships,
and customer segments. To the organization, business model canvass helps in developing a portfolio
of ideas (Enterprising Oxford, 2019).
Glenn Alderson photography “will elaborate more in person” is the winner of the SA wedding
photographer of the year 2014, 2016 and 3rd every other year with a rating of 99% (Gleen Alderson
Photography, 2019). The objective of this report is to explain the business model canvas of Glenn
Alderson photography, digital technology that the company uses, changes and recommendation for
future development.

1. The company provides smooth running, relaxed days, great planning to the customers while

Customer handling at the company has proved to be a significant source for the success of the
company. Indeed, customer relationship has emerged as a secret weapon for the success of the
company. Various ways through which customers can fix an appointment are:
The inquiry, book a meeting in a cafe, venue decided or on the phone call, follow up emails,
Facebook support in the lead up to the day.
After confirming of the deal, few samples are sent after wedding via Dropbox and final album via
USB in 8-10 weeks. Instruction regarding the design album can be sent by the customers and after
changes, the same is delivered in 3-4 weeks.
Customers can fix a meeting regarding maternity function, newborn, potential family photos.
Channel
Channels which are used by Gleen photography to became successful are social media- Facebook &
Instagram, Google and by word of mouth. Distribution of channels helps in the growth of the
organization.
Key partner & key activities
Key activities of the organization are to plan the meetings, follow up the same, photograph the
wedding day, professional edit of the photographs. Whereas, the key partners of Gleen Alderson

already booked dates. Increasement in peak off dates particularly in winters with Darwin and tropics.
Arranging a destination wedding is also one of the challenges faced by the company. Their kiss and
intimation package was also a challenge for them, as it was not approved by the whole society.

The budget for winter is one of the areas which needs to focus by the company. For that proper
budget, concepts are needed like activity-based budgeting which states that the budget should be
formed by considering all cost. It helps the business to develop in times of inflation as well
(Accounting Tools, 2018). As well as, new market techniques should be used for the development of
business, for example, Affiliate marketing, Content marketing (Benson, 2017). A knowledgeable

accountant should be appointed which can help them in forming proper budget especially for the
time of winters.
Strategies
It is advised to the consulted team, that their admin sector should fetch more photographers which
can help in proper marketing of business and leads in the business growth. Admin should take care
of the time, wastage of time should be eliminated and proper time should be given to each and
every deals.

Gleen Alderson Photography helps in seizing a couple's special wedding day. Wedding photography
is their main desire. With their natural ability of storytelling, they have extended the service
throughout Australia as well as globally. They also offered various range of packages. Although they
