Business operations are defined as the most vital function within business which is
helpful in managing whole business operations in prominent manner. The major aim of business
operation is to intensify value of business and to enhance its sales and earn more profits as well.

internal team and for gaining success these are performed in appropriate manner. Business
operation for an organisation starts from converting raw material into finished goods and to
perform marketing activities. Besides this decision making activities are also part of business
operations and these are helpful for promoting goods and services so that final selling of product
or service can take place. This report is associated with understanding concepts of business
operations in the background of Cadbury which is a British multinational confectionery
organisation. This report includes business functioning within supply chain, location strategies,
quality control and role of manager in these business operations.

brand. The company was founded in the year of 1824 and headquartered in Birmingham, UK. As

company is performing various business functions and the same are elaborated as under:
Production: Every business organisation is associated with selling of some product or
services in order to grab attention of potential customers and to earn high profits as well (Anand

and satisfy needs and demands of their customers. Production decisions are not easy as this is the

productivity. Such strategies are executed in which goals and aims of the organisation can be

activities and resource in which flow of goods and services are managed. The primal
responsibility of Cadbury is to manage demand and supply of their goods in subtle manner. This
is examined that supply chain of Cadbury is properly managed and they are using automated

Logistics: Logistics are defined as transfer of products or consumer goods to ultimate
customers. This is regarded as the most vital function in which assistance is given in order to
transfer goods from one place to another (Alotaibi and Liu, 2017). When appropriate
transportation facilities are provided by an organisation to their goods then better services can be
provided by them to their customers. The goal of reaching to mass audience can be attained by
keeping appropriate logistics and by transferring products to customers in appropriate manner.
For Cadbury this is examined that they are finding best solutions for formulating appropriate
logistics in order to attain business objectives. Supply chain is helpful for Cadbury in order to
reach out to maximum number of customers and to provide smart solutions to their customers as

Location Strategies: This is defined as the most strategy which is helpful for the
organisation to take decision regarding choosing correct market so that potential customer can be

Quality control: This is regarded as the most prominent decision taken by the

products and this is the major reason that the company is active in attaining goals and objectives

business. In the terms of quality control manager of Cadbury is performing their role of testing
quality in continuous manner so that to minimise variation in terms of quality standard. In this
manner manager is associated with inculcating prominent standard within business which are
related with quality and organisational performance. At last in terms of human resource manager
of Cadbury is recruiting candidates in fair manner so that employees with high skills and
