Roll out of vaccines
The Department of Business, Vaccine Task Force and Energy and Industrial Strategy
(BEIS) are responsible for purchasing vaccines in the UK. The roll-out of vaccines are
accountability of Department Of Health and Social Care (DHSC), working with Public Health
England, NHS England, NHS improvement and the UK Health Security Agency to work
together and supervise vaccinations across the large area of network on the places involving
pharmacies, hospitals and GP surgeries. In the year 2020 on December 2, the Pfizer-BioNTech
COVID-19 Vaccine was approved in the UK which become first to be authorized in the world.
The second vaccine was cheaper and easier to distribute which was Oxford AstraZeneca vaccine.
The UK has ordered around 650m doses of 8 vaccines (Coronavirus vaccine rollout, 2021). The
government of UK was criticized because it was slowing off with plans for vaccinating teenagers
and rolling out boosters with an inflexible booking system and little role for GP surgeries. In
order to overcome this issue of vaccine roll out the government must take vaccine doses and
motivate all the citizens to get vaccinated according to their age and on the provided time period.
Brexit
Brexit is referred to as exit of the UK from the EU In the year 2016. The UK has faced several
issues due to Brexit which was related with economic slowdown that impact growth and jobs of
many businesses. The biggest disadvantage that the UK faced is with its economic growth as
Brexit has slowed down the growth of country from 2.4% in the year 2015 to 1.6% in 2019. Due
to Brexit employers in the country are having a very hard time in finding talented applicants.
Brexit has also reduced growth in financial centre of London which so just 1.4% in 2018 and was
almost 20 in 2019. Many companies in the UK have shifted their headquarters to the EU (What

These issues related with Brexit could be overcome by implementing several suggestions such as
employers could play a very important role in protecting brand of UK. The companies must
create attractive and valuable positions for candidates so that they could migrate from other
places to work in the UK. As a business they have responsibility to make sure that they are
positively contributing to the societal changes. People should be stay informed and aware about
the changes that Brexit is causing and could implement effective ways to deal with them. The

procedure to exit from the EU will take time and modifications in the country will be very
gradual, therefore employers of the country must show the world that UK is very much open for
businesses as well as ready to welcome international talent in the country.

Customer satisfaction is a key priority for the supermarkets in order to make their business
competitor and sustainable. It is changing customer demands, preferences and buying behaviour
businesses like LD and other supermarket chains changing the landscape of grocery shopping but
challenging with traditional supermarket model that used to operate with a wide variety of
options of the thousands of square metres land. Now organisations like it creators opting for the
model in which the cater the needs based shopping clients who can frequently visit the store
rather than stocking up at the one visit (Le and et. al., 2019). Customer segment appealing
business model of the LD and other companies of the supermarket in a grocery shopping
industry seems to be beneficial in terms of operation management inventory management and is
leading the company's towards a successful business model. After observing the pros of this
business model in the retail industry in terms of reducing the overhead cost, increase efficiency
of management and most importantly still providing the quality products to the customers makes
it highly beneficial in increasing the customer retention. Therefore this similar business model
has a huge potential and the capability to work in the other industries apart from the
supermarkets and retail industry. For example in the automobile industry the customer segment
is specific and limited to some particular brand this makes it easy for the organisations like Audi
Nord to adopt this business model in which company can provide limited options of their product
at particular store of the city and make different options at other place. This business model will
be very beneficial for the automobile industry as this will save the inventory management of the
organisations and best quality and service of the products will be provided to the customers
(Dincer, Hacioglu and Yüksel, 2018).

In order to access this shopping experience the customers have to sacrifice or shift from their
buying behaviour of searching for the thousands of options for the one category product as in this
shopping experience has to be emphasised on quality rather than quantity. Also customer must
sacrifice their nature of stocking up the items at the one visit at the store as it may sound time
saving activity but in order to experience the convenience of this business model (Lutchman and
et. al., 2019). Also the customers must sacrifice their fun of shopping at the large supermarkets
with the huge number of variety in order to apt with this model for which customers must
become loyal customers that has more reference for the quality and easy to access products in
nearby store.
TASK 3
Positive and ethical approach into business is highly important in order to run a business in a
sustainable and ethical manner. Tesco PLC is a large sized organisation that has numerous stores
and thousands of employees work at these stores of the company. Food company their
employees and their feelings are highly important in order to bring positive actions towards the
business as in order to respect and understand the specific interest of the employees company
must implement or follow the positive and ethical approach in the management of the business
(Pınarbaşı, 2018).
It is believed that creating jobs and opportunities for the community and the society across
the world is a positive and ethical approach for which company is committed to ensure the jobs
that the company create are supportive and good. In terms of ethical and a positive approach
towards creating the job the company has importantly standardized in order to have felt the issue
of ethics such as fixed working hours freedom of association no child or forced labour, health
and safety, ensuring that discrimination does not occur and much more. The company has strict
standards and policies in the management regarding respect the human rights throughout their
supply chain (Our approach to human rights, 2022). Tesco effectively integrated the human b
into their work and operations performing the key part of the board commitment for being
responsible and the sustainable business of the UK. Human right strategy of the Tesco is led by
the responsible sourcing director who is responsible for the product sourcing all across the Tesco
retail business. All the UK by managers and technical managers of the company are required to

regularly attend the internal training related topics responsible sourcing, modern slavery, human
rights etc. Also 14 non food supply base the company has launched ethical first initiative for
their internal employees and for the own brand general merchandise in the apparel suppliers
(Temnyshov and Belyaev, 2020). In this approach Tesco commits to buy and sell ethically and
also request their supply to work on same concept. The company also has a thing for gender
equality in which human it strategy commits to identify gender inequality issues and the
operations and the management of the try to mitigate and remediate these issues with the
effective gender equality schemes. Thus, this concludes that Tesco plc has effective ethical and
positive approach towards their employees or colleagues in order to maintain the effective
employee relationship and also to provide them with all the benefits (Our approach to human
