INTRODUCTION
The report prepared as under takes in account development of Reflection based report which
states in what ways the data is being collected, if the knowledge attained and gathered gave any
benefit to you and served you in right way or not. It also explains the issues and challenges one
would suffer and face by introducing business operation-based management module (Al-
Dulaimi, Wang and Chih-Lin, eds., 2018). It also takes in account in what certain manner
improvement can be made in current situations of business enterprises and how it would serve to
be fruitful in coming years. It helps to have a better understanding of areas such as Strategies
followed by Human resource, policies relating to quality control and supply chain as well. It
explains in what ways the research report helped us to improve the management related
operational work and how it would contribute in better working and functioning in the long run
as well. The report takes into account reflection which states what is being observed and what is
being improved which would consider areas which have been developed over a period of time
and which contributed in reaching present condition. It also describes in what ways learning can
be developed and better understanding can be facilitated.

What information you had about all the areas before starting the module. What new knowledge is
being obtained in Semester 1?
Semester one is all about operational efficiency related to organisations and companies
functioning in a competitive environment. I had observed that by the term efficiency one can
have a better understanding about cost related policies and items which would help in benefiting
the business and in what ways Hr strategies such as hiring employees and making them work for
increasing the profitability of business would be helpful. I also had knowledge about quality
control policies which would help in assessing ways contributing to improve the quality of goods
and items produced. I further studied and gained knowledge about supply chain which explains
in what ways company can use the available resources in best ways and allocate them to better
results (Begonha, 2022). There are several supply chain strategies which the business must focus
and concentrate upon such as predictive maintenance, automation, customer centricity and
visibility as well. I observed that these policies are important for fulfilling the customer demand
and boosting profitability.

Yes, the information which surprised me was how terms like supply chain, hr strategies are
important to be linked for carrying out smooth functioning in a company. I was also surprised by
the fact that there are many strategies relating to supply chain which a business owner must be
aware of before starting or setting up a business. The data or information which served as a
surprise was more of asserting knowledge about connection which is being formed and is already
present in the economy and how it can be found and implemented in various ways.

What challenges and issues you would face in Semester 1 for Introduction to Business operations
Management module?
I had very limited knowledge about terms such as business operation management module
which provides how the operation function would fit within the company on a overall basis. I
realised that it is chiefly concerned with planning, organising and supervising in relation with
production, manufacturing or the provision related to services. It would involve 3 types of stages
relating to operations management: Production planning, production controlling and
improvement in operation and production (Bougie and Sekaran, 2019). there are many
challenges one would face over the implementation of business operation module and it also
explains in what certain ways a company would be able to adapt such or they would be suitable
for the company or not. It is also being observed by me that one must adapt innovative ideas and
technologies which would serve as a key over others already existing in the market as people are
more concerned about new products rather than improving the existing product, they want to use
some new technique or product which would be providing them maximum satisfaction and value
to their spendings being made over a period of time In that certain activity or service.
How knowledge from semester 1 is being used for further development and your understanding
in Semester 2?
Knowledge of Semester 1 can be applied in semester 2 as it would provide assistance in
managing working of the business in long run. I also developed clear understanding and view of
business which could be applied in semester 2 for understanding where the company is lacking
and lagging behind and in what ways it can be improved within provided time. Operation
management are helpful in designing the process being followed, planning production and
management capacity as well. The knowledge which I gained is helpful for semester 2 as it is
interconnected and I must be have queries to be sorted for carrying out better functions and
results. I had studied about preparation of budgets and monitoring expenses accordingly which
would serve as a advantage over others present in the market and in what ways it would help to
gather data about what can be done in future and which activities must be stopped and
discontinued keeping present point of time in mind. It also helped me in getting an idea about
other companies strategies as well and in what manner it would help the business to overcome
hurdles coming on the way and improvise the performance as well (Eyers ed., 2020).
