INTRODUCTION
The report prepared as under takes in account development of Reflection based report which
states in what ways the data is being collected, if the knowledge attained and gathered gave any
benefit to you and served you in right way or not. It also explains the issues and challenges one
would suffer and face by introducing business operation-based management module (Al-
Dulaimi, Wang and Chih-Lin, eds., 2018). It also takes in account in what certain manner
improvement can be made in current situations of business enterprises and how it would serve to
be fruitful in coming years. It helps to have a better understanding of areas such as Strategies
followed by Human resource, policies relating to quality control and supply chain as well. It
explains in what ways the research report helped us to improve the management related
operational work and how it would contribute in better working and functioning in the long run
as well. The report takes into account reflection which states what is being observed and what is
being improved which would consider areas which have been developed over a period of time
and which contributed in reaching present condition. It also describes in what ways learning can
be developed and better understanding can be facilitated.

Reflection of Semester 1
What information you had about all the areas before starting the module. What new knowledge is
being obtained in Semester 1?
Semester one is all about operational efficiency related to organisations and companies
functioning in a competitive environment. I had observed that by the term efficiency one can
have a better understanding about cost related policies and items which would help in benefiting
the business and in what ways Hr strategies such as hiring employees and making them work for
increasing the profitability of business would be helpful. I also had knowledge about quality
control policies which would help in assessing ways contributing to improve the quality of goods
and items produced. I further studied and gained knowledge about supply chain which explains
in what ways company can use the available resources in best ways and allocate them to better
results (Begonha, 2022). There are several supply chain strategies which the business must focus
and concentrate upon such as predictive maintenance, automation, customer centricity and
visibility as well. I observed that these policies are important for fulfilling the customer demand
and boosting profitability.
Was there any data or information which surprised you? Why?
Yes, the information which surprised me was how terms like supply chain, hr strategies are
important to be linked for carrying out smooth functioning in a company. I was also surprised by
the fact that there are many strategies relating to supply chain which a business owner must be
aware of before starting or setting up a business. The data or information which served as a
surprise was more of asserting knowledge about connection which is being formed and is already
present in the economy and how it can be found and implemented in various ways.

Semester 2 Reflection and continued development
What challenges and issues you would face in Semester 1 for Introduction to Business operations
Management module?
I had very limited knowledge about terms such as business operation management module
which provides how the operation function would fit within the company on a overall basis. I
realised that it is chiefly concerned with planning, organising and supervising in relation with
production, manufacturing or the provision related to services. It would involve 3 types of stages
relating to operations management: Production planning, production controlling and
improvement in operation and production (Bougie and Sekaran, 2019). there are many
challenges one would face over the implementation of business operation module and it also
explains in what certain ways a company would be able to adapt such or they would be suitable
for the company or not. It is also being observed by me that one must adapt innovative ideas and
technologies which would serve as a key over others already existing in the market as people are
more concerned about new products rather than improving the existing product, they want to use
some new technique or product which would be providing them maximum satisfaction and value
to their spendings being made over a period of time In that certain activity or service.
How knowledge from semester 1 is being used for further development and your understanding
in Semester 2?
Knowledge of Semester 1 can be applied in semester 2 as it would provide assistance in
managing working of the business in long run. I also developed clear understanding and view of
business which could be applied in semester 2 for understanding where the company is lacking
and lagging behind and in what ways it can be improved within provided time. Operation
management are helpful in designing the process being followed, planning production and
management capacity as well. The knowledge which I gained is helpful for semester 2 as it is
interconnected and I must be have queries to be sorted for carrying out better functions and
results. I had studied about preparation of budgets and monitoring expenses accordingly which
would serve as a advantage over others present in the market and in what ways it would help to
gather data about what can be done in future and which activities must be stopped and
discontinued keeping present point of time in mind. It also helped me in getting an idea about
other companies strategies as well and in what manner it would help the business to overcome
hurdles coming on the way and improvise the performance as well (Eyers ed., 2020).
In what ways knowledge has helped in improving overall understanding of business
management? State instances and example from your learning and or work experiences and
link them to improvement in your understanding.
Knowledge is always the key for improving the connection one has developed, It also
explains how that knowledge can be applied for getting a better understanding of the work
environment and what is being expected by a point of view of workers (Love and Matthews,
2019). I have also noticed that for gaining experience, having a better knowledge and
information about work environment served as a key towards my performance being rendered.
Business management can be explained as how one must plan its activities well in advance such
as preparation of budgets, implementing them in a competitive environment for better growth

and lifecycle, it would also define how one must be having instructions about unpredictable
situations to deal with in a efficient and effective manner. Business is all about components and
elements which help to build it, develop it and manage its operations as well.
Which topic area you enjoyed more? Describe why you enjoyed it.
I enjoyed more of Quality control related area because it involves lots and lots of
operations to be managed for carrying out the quality you demand from a company and in what
ways organisation can improve the present quality is a challenge for all (Milne and Robinson,
2019). It explains various strategies, action plans and policies which contribute in managing such
activities It also explains how other terns and policies would be getting help such as if one wants
to market its product or place its product in the market, he must have planned its product in such
a way that it stands out from others and can be placed in a innovative way in the economy. It
further helps to understand in what ways business can manage qualitative goods at less cost and
incur more profit for covering the risk and cost well in time and managing the growth and
expansion of business well in advance.
Which topic is required to be developed more? Do you need to learn and develop more about it?
Topic which according to me demands more development is HR strategies in which one
only has the knowledge about hiring and retaining of employees in the company but no one is
aware about uses of such policies in the best possible manner and how it would affect the
running and functioning of business in environment (Neri and Labe, 2019). It also would explain
in what ways employees being hired would be contributing in the development of such
enterprises as it would be connected to management of operations, better qualitative and
quantitative goods. I need more information and details about working of HR strategies and how
we can make best use of it in a company and overcoming challenges being faced by a business in
competitive world.
Define how you will be continuing for developing the understanding and learning of such areas
in Level 4.
I would contribute to carry out researches about the topic I am doubtful about and in what
ways I should study them for having a better and clear understanding. I have observed that there
are many functions which are being managed and carried out by a business person and some are
being managed by employees in a competitive world (Visser, 2020). It is being noticed that areas
such as discussed above are required to have a better and clear knowledge because it would only
help in exploring the career options present in the economy and how I can choose among the
possible options for my future growth. It also states what ways would help in reaching
conclusion and understanding where the business is demanding more focus and concentration
and in what ways it could be attained. It also. would help to examine areas such as development
of policies, management of lifecycle of a product, developing learning in a better way for better
outcomes such as comparing alternatives which are available with the business.
CONCLUSION
The report prepared as above helps to have a better overview about the working of such
strategies which would be useful and helpful in business operational areas and management as

well. IT defines and state ways which would serve as a tool in better development and
preparation of strategies so far. It counts the issues and challenges being faced by us during such
reports and allotting preferences to specific areas which would prove to be beneficial and
advantageous in near future. It also helps to develop a better understanding about the
management and operational related areas for attaining knowledge and information about the
working of businesses and enterprises as well for managing the long run of a company. IT
further explains ways in which policies would be working and could be adapted for maintaining
the effectiveness and efficiency of the firm. It also explains the use of supply chain management
in a company and in what ways it could be used for development of the companies. It would give
a brief overview about what is being learnd over the assessment and also reflection has helped
what could be manged in what ways and how it helped us to grow over a limited time span as
well.
