 Business is an economic
system which is carried out
for earning profit as well as
for social service.
 Business operations of an
organisation totally depend
on their size.

Different types organisations and their
purpose
Public limited company- These companies is wholly or
partially controlled by government so it can also be known
as governmental company.
These organisations have right to invite the public for
raising capital from market.

Private limited company- These organisations are
controlled by private people and have limited number of
shareholders because it cannot invite the public for raising
capital from the market.
It can also be known as unlisted or unquoted company
because its shares are not listed on stock exchange.

Voluntary sector- This type of enterprise is owned by some
individuals who join together for carrying out the same
objectives.
It has no motive to earn profit but to serve the society for
their welfare.

Size and scope of different types of

If an enterprise is running their business at international
level then its size and scope will be broader and vice versa.
Size and scope of McDonald and Burger King are as

McDonald- It is the largest fast food restaurant chain
throughout the world in terms of market share and revenue.
It is a public company which is operating its business in
around 36900 locations and providing its services in the
entire world.

Burger king- It is a private company which is operating its
business in 15000 locations with 34248 employees
approximately. It provides various types of offers such as salads,
dessert, milkshakes, burgers, etc. to its customers.
