Business Process Performance Management
The Business Process Performance Management involves three performance levels .The
performance levels includes organization, process and task. The each level includes three
perspectives that comprise targets, design and management (Chowdhary et al. 2014). The
Business Process Performance Management is also known as the Key Performance Indicators
(KPIs), it determines the key entities for the management of any particular organization .In order
to manage business process performance it is necessary to scrutinize ,control and keep a watch
on the implementation of process and execution all throughout the lifecycle of the process. The
control models, which are used presently, are generally highly complex and it includes planning,
monitoring, measuring, performance enhancement and modeling of process and its
implementation. The key attributes of the Business Process Performance control are performance
planning, monitoring, measuring and enhancing. In process performance management process,
the process monitoring involves continuous monitoring, surveying and tracking the activities of
the organization (Ates et al. 2013).These approaches helps to achieve the goals of the
organization and produce desired results. The process design, which is of the perspective of
business process performance management, deals with achievement of process target, that has
been set for the organization. It is important that the process includes certain important
facets .The important facets includes proper structure, logic, rationale and appropriate way to
achieve the goals and objective of the organization . The process management includes target
management, performance management, resource management and process interface
management.
Business Process Management
Business process Management or BPM is the approach that is used to improve or enhance
the business process by end-to-end analysis (Jeston 2014).It also models how it functions in
different scenarios by execution of improvements and monitoring of improved processes at the
same time utilizing it to the maximum. The business process defines the group of activities that
are aimed to accomplish the goals of any particular organizations. The business process
management is not a task that is performed in one—time instead, it involves continuous re-
engineering of process. BPM also involves tasks that are automated in a business process though
it is not related to any technology (Dumas et al .2013).It can take place beyond automation also
without the aid of technology.
Then application and utilities of Business Process Management are as follows:
 It is used in order to enhance the order and the efficiency of the collective workflows that
is essential to improve any business processes.
 BPM plays an important role in reduction of any chaos or conundrum related to the
collective workflows that is essential to make up process and it also eliminates the ad hoc
workflow management.
The BPM comprises of many steps .The steps includes designing, monitoring, modeling,
optimization and execution. The Business Process Managements permits the organizational
leaders to comprehend the various processes that take place within the organization(Van Der
Aalst 2013). The BPM analyzes the end-to-end business and tries to improve them in on on-

going basis .If the BPM is executed properly it helps in reduction of errors, waste and also aids to
generate better products and services.
