PERFORMANCE MAANGEMENT IN BUSINESS MANAGEMENT
Introduction:
The term performance management means to assure the targets has to be achieved by
the organization or individual in an efficient and effective manner. The introduction of
technology has enhanced the scope of improving the performance management for every
individual and has made better ways to perform well(De Waal, 2013). This can be used in
every workplace and used whenever required by the user to assure a better quality work and
performance. It is the organized and well- framed working pattern that will attract people and
help to reach the desired target aimed by the individual or group.
Discussion:
Use of technology for better performance:
The performance management is now enhanced by many new technologies and they
are data visualization, mash-up, mobile intelligence and many more. The study will discuss
about how the performance has been improved with the usage of the above mentioned three
technologies(Hvidman & Andersen, 2013). Data visualization helps to understand the
importance of data by creating a visual context. It gives a clear idea about how the data
has been implemented and how further data can be implemented to improve the performance
and make a better working of the whole system or performance. It helps in better
understanding, analysing, preventing from risks and maintaining transparency in the entire
system. Mobile intelligence is another supportive measure that helps in the technical growth
of the performance. It is defined as a system that holds both technical and organizational
elements that represents the past record to the user to prevent any mistake to repeat
again(Yau, 2013). It enhances the entire performance by smart devices that can identify many
issues that might not be suitable for the organization. It helps to give a better understanding,
identification of flaws, produce effective output. It delivers information, reports in a mobile-
friendly way and enables the workforce(Murray, 2017). Thus the employees are able to get

connected to the home system even when they are not physically present in the work place. It
creates an easily accessible situation every time for every one which improves the work
condition and performance. Mobile intelligence is consisting the advantage of artificial
intelligence that supports the everyday life style of every individual and also consist the
mobile advantage. This means the mobile intelligence is creating a better work place with
the help to technology that I sable to relate, analyse, process information itself and make a
better performance, at the same time it is accessible from anywhere and everywhere that
makes the working system easier. Mash up is an application that brings together various
contents for presentation. It comprises of video, data feed, social information’s. It typically
mixes the information of the internal corporate environment to the outer environment
and create a source of combined data source. The combined information that it creates
regarding the work field helps the organization to understand the strength and threat of their
organization and makes a better understanding of their performance in the entire system.
Thus, the mash up helps to understand the performance of the organization, compare it with
the external world, make necessary changes and improve their performance. Thus, the
technologies that are used are highly beneficial to the organization, helping them to
understand the required step they might need to take to improve their performance and
manage their performance. The technology advancement is always beneficial to the
organization helping them to relate to the data in an easier way, scrutinize the information in
an easier way, relate to the data and make necessary changes that will improve the working of
the entire system(Bach,2013).
However, like every coins has two face they also have few disadvantages that might
be a cause of disturbance for the organization. Technologies are system and scientific
invention and even they can be wrong at times. The technology that provides information to
the organization might not be always correct and can be fake. There might be loop in video

data that are used for organizational management. The entire system is costly and the user has
to spend a lot of revenue to establish this system. The technology can be tracked and hacked
by foreign users and the data can be used by them. This can be a serious threat to the
organization. The data mash up could be more biased than required that can give either a
wrong impression or extra confidence about the entire system(Korzun, Nikolaevskiy & Gurtov,
2015, August). This can misguide the whole system and create a wrong performance system in
the organization.
However, everything has a draw back and so does these technologies. But it will not
be good option to miss the opportunity to create a better performance with the use of these
technology(Wu, Battle & Madden, 2014). I f preventive measures are taken and serious action is
taken to avoid a disturbance then the problems that has been mentioned here can be resolved
easily. The organizations should bot miss the opportunities that the technologies give and
must use them to ensure a better performance management in the organization(Toebes &
Millican III,2014). The organization can be highly influenced and motivated to work and give
their best by using the technologies. The technology is making the working system faster and
accurate and thus it is helping the improve the work culture and business performance in
every way.
Conclusion:
Thus, to conclude it can be said that the performance management can be uplifted
with the help of the technologies that are developing the skills and strategies of the
organization or individual. The technologies that has been mentioned here are helping to
create a better view to analyse the situation which can be used for reviewing the performance
and checking the risks. The mobile intelligence will create a better platform to perform where
ever required and the mash up will give a mixed data including both internal and external
data that will be beneficial to the individual or organization.
