INTRODUCTION
Business Plan is a written document, which includes all the operations of the business from
startup and continuous running, which performed by the business organization and their
employees at the workplace. Business plan includes all the information of business which is
important for growth and development of business and helps the person of business in
understanding what should be done, when, how, who and where they did their work. This
report includes a detailed comparison between the two company’s business plans, which
related to architectural engineering services and explain the strength and weakness of these
two companies. It also explains what improvement done in the current business plan in detail.
Business plan includes information about the planning of the company about their operational
plans and the financial plan of the business. This business plan helps the employees and the
partners of the company easily understand the overall plan of company related to the finding
the ideas of business plan execute these ideas to the business plan, answer the question by
using SWOT analysis tool and technique, and apply this solution in the business plan
(Investopedia, 2016).
Pyramid Engineering Company of Altoona did their business for four years. This company
established in the year 2000 by the partnership of four partners who are professional engineers
in their related business. This company is a big company who provides services and has a good
knowledge of mechanical engineering, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection industry and
they advise ideas for design to construction of design on the designing activity of the business.
The company who want to repair their existing system and design the new system can solve
their problems with the help of well-experienced engineering staff of Pyramid Engineering
Company, which registered in 22 states. This company gives the best solutions according to the
needs of customer it involves the groups of government, educational and healthcare.
Another company is NW Architecture Company, which established by Nathan Sawyer, and he is
the owner and investing person of the company. Headquarter of NW Architecture is situated in

the Bay Area in California. This company gives digital support to the company, which related to
construction activity and visualization activity. The company provides plans, maps, and
documents for construction with the use of various software and automatic processes.
Customer of NW Company is the government, contractors of the construction industry and
home developers.
Both the companies use the SWOT analysis tool to analyze the strength of their company and
they use for the success of a business and helps in increasing the revenues of the business.
Weakness creates hurdles and problems in the completion of the work. Opportunity means
how the company makes the best utilization of the resources to increase the client, business,
and it automatically increases the revenues and overall growth. Threats are the situation, which
creates difficulties in achieving the goals of the business to increase the profit of the business.

1. SWOT ANALYSIS
SWOT Analysis is a process, which used for making decisions and making strategies for the
growth and development of a company by proper analysis of the situation of a business. SWOT
analysis is a tool, which helps to find factors such as internal and external factors, which give
threats and opportunities and affect the business. SWOT Analysis is a technique, which used by
many companies to analyze the strength, opportunities, weakness, and threats that affect the
various operations of the business. Pyramid Engineering company and NW Architecture
company use the SWOT analysis techni9que to analyze the strength, weakness, opportunities,
and threats which affect their operations of a business in the long run. SWOT-analysis helps in
making the strategies to know the strength, weakness, opportunities, and threats for business

The scientific method used to analyze the strength of the company by asking various questions
and answers given in the best way, which help the company to analyze the weakness, and
strength of the company. Following points should remember to evaluate or analysis the
business plan. In these definitions of SWOT Analysis, there should be a detailed discussion of
strength, weakness, opportunities, and threats. Strength is the skill and capability of the

business firm, which helps in fulfilling the objective by proper use of strength. Weakness is the
limitation and the failure reason in which a company may fail to achieve its overall objectives.
Opportunities are the factors that encourage the company to take advantage of these
economic opportunities. The threat is a situation, which creates the condition in which a firm
faces many challenges while doing the business.

the ideas into cash by providing them to the clients. This helps to increase the business of the

contracts. This will help the company to increase its business by providing all the
facilities and to give good competition to the other companies.
If the company give good services than it raises the demand for their services. Increase the
demand for services leads to an increase in the overall profit of the business and raise the value
of the company in the market (Helga, 2017).
NW Architecture
 They provide flexibility in the bills against services it will give an economic option to the
customer.
They use the latest technologies and make changes according to the situation. They integrate
the technologies, which help the company to earn high revenue on the lowest investment of
capital. This is important for the success of the business plan.

 They work on the worldwide business and extend its business in the international
market. This will help the company to improve the flow of cash in the business and
attract new clients in the international market.
It helps the business to increase the revenues of the business. It attracts the customer who is
apart from the targeted market. By taking advantage, it gives good business to our company
and allows the company to reduce the cost of investment in infrastructure.
 This company target to small size organization to large size business organization.

3. Weakness in the Business Plan

 Cost of project charge by the company is very economical so the cost of services given
by the company is high for a particular project as compared to the current project cost.
 Investment-related to the technical services was not convert into the valuable asset of
the company.
 Company strategies for marketing are not good and the services do not extend by the
company this result in reducing the lifecycle of the business.
By detailed examination, it must ensure that the company charge higher prices even for a small
project and this give benefit to the competitive companies to set competitive prices of their
services. If the price of company services is higher as compared to the other company than they
have a low market value because the customer wants to give the project to tho9se company
who give fewer prices for the services. There is continuous up-gradation in the infrastructure
investment in a quarterly, monthly or yearly basis. They do not make any promises to update
the resources that they used in their company (Bplan, 2015).
NW Architecture
 They give more focus on investing a high amount in the infrastructure and not maintain
the stability in the resources of the company and the valuables assets of the company,
which result company has received fewer opportunities for the success in this
competition in the market.
 They do not give services to the whole project instead, they provide limited services to
their clients which give less solution to the client and decline the success of the
business.

 They make limitation in giving jobs to the person as a result of this company works in
collaboration and sometimes company comes to an end and it also increase the gap of
knowledge.

4. Improvement in The Business Plan
If the company has improved its process of a business plan than the company easily find the
weakness and threats arises in the business of the company. Some of the improvements can do
in such this way.

This company needs to make an improvement in the prices of the client project and reduce the
prices of services. This can do by making a proper evaluation of the project and the cost
involved in it. Result of the project against the investment made by the client must focus while

should used. To expand the business in the international market is very costly than the

NW Architecture
They focus to increase the clients and for this, they allow the company to expand in the private
and public market. If the company not expands, their business in front of the public than it
reduces the opportunity of the popularity of the company. Services can increased by expanding
the interest and new interest of market increases the services through marketing. For the
improvement in business, Plan Company raises its staff members by appointing a large amount
of staff so that the company receives knowledgeable and well-skilled staff for the company. This
skilled person gives good results to the company in the end.
