INTRODUCTION
Business plan is a written document which describes how a business can operate and
achieve its organisational goal. It involves all strategies and plans which are needed to achieve
corporation goal. In this report chosen organisation is Game Jam restaurant which provides foods
facility to the consumers who visit the restaurant. The aim of this report is to develop small
business plan to accomplish organisational objectives. This report covers the following topics
such as: business plan, purpose, identity, values, market research to develop business and ethical
dilemma faced by the company. Apart from this it also discusses about equality & diversity law
and rights of new employees.
TASK 1
Setting up a small business plan
Business plan helps the organisation to establish and implement its business idea so that
company can accomplish its goal and objectives effectively. It is defines in written document
which assist the company to take necessary steps so that it can fulfil its targets and aim.
Business plan and name : Game Jam Restaurant is a restaurant which provides the
facility of food and beverage to its consumers. The theme of restaurant would be on the basis of
different popular games such as : Fifa, PUBG and counter strike. This unique interior of
restaurant can attract the persons to visit the restaurant.
Location and industry
It belongs to hospitality industry and it is located at London, Bartley road. Game Jam
Restaurant has different types of menus such as : Main menu, brunch menu, desert menu, festive
menu, Sunday menu, daily special menu, gluten free menu etc.
Target consumers :
The targets consumers of the organisation is the age group between 10 to 40 years of
persons because children's and youngsters like to take food in restaurant which is based on game
themes and it attract the consumers to visit the restaurant. It also provides the facilities of rest
room to the guest so that they feel relaxed. The name of restaurant is attractive and its interior is
also unique which attract the persons to visit the restaurant (Feenstra, 2014).

quality products which does not harm the health of persons. It emphasis to satisfy the needs and

preferences, likes, dislikes, culture and habits of consumers so that company can develop its
product on the basis of these factors.

Primary research is that research which is used by researcher to collect data directly from
the respondents rather than depending upon any other indirect source. It involves telephonic and
face to face interview, online survey, observation etc. (Shelton, 2017).Game Jam Restaurant has
conducted primary research to know the views and preferences of persons about the products and

organisation treats their employees badly and involves in discrimination, bullying and
harassment activities. So there is a situation of ethical dilemma has arises in front of company
that it should take help of that organisation or not because if it take help of that organisation than
brand image can be negatively affected and staffs also get demotivated. So company should not
take help of that corporation. It emphasis the social values and it does not want to harm it as a
result its reputation can be enhanced among society that organisation treats it employees well and
does not involve in discrimination and harassment activities.
For example, Lotus Leisure Ltd has a business of rental and travel agreements. As
organisation starts its business than there was a dilemma in front of organisation that it should
purchase own vehicle by paying full payment or it can buy vehicle on the basis of instalments. It
should take insurance or not. In that case its manager takes the decision that organisation should
purchase its own vehicle by paying full payment so that it does not pay the interest on the
instalments. It shows the smart thinking of manager of company. Manager has decided that
insurance should be taken so that uncertainty can be avoided. (Ward, 2016).
Conclusion :
Lotus Leisure Ltd starts its new business so it is important to save cost as much as
possible. Its manger solves the situation of dilemma by selecting one alternative that it
organisation should buy vehicle by paying full payment. Manager follow the ethics which is
insurance of vehicle which is needed to buy a vehicle. As per the case there is a dilemma in front
of organisation to deal with the company or not because it is involving in bullying and
harassment activities with its employees. If corporation promotes its business with the help of
that company than its business can be negatively affected. So it is better for the organisation to
does not deal as a result ethical dilemma can be solve. It shows that company also emphasis
towards the social values as a result its reputation and brand image can be enhanced.

TASK 4
Equality and diversity law
To follow the equality and diversity law is important for an organisation while selecting
the applicants. It is necessary for a company to maintain and follow this law so that employees
can satisfy and get appropriate wages as per the regulations of law so that rights of employees
can be protected in the organisation. Zero hour contract is mainly for piece work or on call work.
This means : workers are on call to work when organisation needs. In this concept employees are
entitled to get National minimum wage and statutory annual leave as the regular staffs of the
organisation. Zero hour workers are not time bound means they do not have to come at office as
regular employees and they can leave organisation when work has been completed. Equality and
diversity law has introduced by UK government to protect the employment rights of the workers.
According to this law :
Organisation can not make differentiation on the opportunities such as promotion.
On the basis of wages and salary discrimination is not allowed (Fernández-Guerrero and
Simón-Moya, 2012).
On the basis of working hours and employee’s discrimination is not allowed.
It is the responsibility of organisation to protect the interest of employees and provide the safe
working environment so that workers can work effectively and protect the health of staffs.
