Executive summary
By analyzing business opportunities that are available in America, I came to a conclusion
in coming up with a Barbecue restaurant. (Coker, 2014) This is because, there is a high demand
for barbecue-style cuisine and dishes, and the business requires minimal capital and few
formalities to start and run while its return is high. The enterprise will be a partnership between
the barbecue restaurant and online retail shop which is owned by two brothers who live in
America. The business will be located in South America. Both the two brothers and I will be the
owner of the enterprise everyone will play a role according to the experience one has in the field.
I have a 5years experience in the field of food and snack business, and I have worked with Allen
and Son B-QUE restaurant, while the two brothers have a 6-year experience in online retail.
Online retail will help the enterprise to grow, serve its customers to satisfaction by creating a
platform that allows customers to purchase goods online. We are targeting to start the business
by the end of this November because the festive season is approaching which is the peak period
of the business. (Epstein, 2018) The two brothers have accomplished a lot in the field of online
retail hence making them too useful in the business. We target both children and adults,
especially in the household market. Our competitors do not offer online retail services nor door
to door delivery. Hence this will be our major advantage over our competitors. The strategy that
will be employed to venture into the market will be, the creation of the online platform, walking
door to door giving out free gifts that create awareness of the business and services we offer and
use of local media to create awareness of the product. We also need to employ personnel who
have experience in that field and are a good verse to the market of that area. (Carolan, 2018) The
main business goal is to make sure that we expand the business by producing high-quality
products that will lead to the satisfaction of the customer. For this objective to be reached it will

need hard work, commitment, and goal oriented personnel. For this business to start and run
efficiently, it will need a starting capital of 60000$. The capital will be used to purchase assets
needed in the business and raw materials required to produce food and snacks. The business will
be able to yield 1000$ per month.
WHS and responsibility
Duties for WHS are legislated in the Work Health and Safety Act (WHS) 2011. (Burns, 2016)
The Act details the duties of anyone who is planning for a business. It also includes workers
suppliers of the business and manufacturers. (Coker, 2014) The following principle applies to all
duties in the WHS Act 2011. first, duty is not transferable secondly a person may have more than
one duty thirdly more than one person can have the same duty and lastly risks are managed to
ensure they are eliminated, so far as is reasonably practicable. (Epstein, 2018) hence according I
came with the following plan.
SOURCES OF FINANCE
From my previous business, I had saved 40000$. Hence I will withdraw the money add
up with the capital from that of the two American brothers that are 30000$ and start the
enterprise. The capital required will be able to be split into different sectors for efficient
production
Business objective
i) To be profitable
ii) The increase of productivity to cater for all our customers
iii) Increase efficient of customer services for their full satisfaction
iv) Maintain a gradual growth and sustain the growth

Business details

Boys, Accounting Clerk and Cleaners who will be partitioned into different departments. Four

supervising the other workers and maintain an excellent management strategy that will lead to
the achievement of the stated goal. The business will deal with both cash, credit cards, and the

My focus is to register the business by the end of November due to the coming festival
season. The business will be registered with accordance American department of health and
business permits. I will obtain the business license from the local America authority. For the
business to run smoothly, there will be need of obtaining Certificate of incorporation, Business
license, food/health certificate business plan and lastly online term of use. (Carolan, 2018) This
certificates will be of importance to anyone who wants to start and business in America. This
will need the business to hire a food safety supervisor which is the requirement by the federal
state when opening a business that deals with food. A registered business number (RN) issued by
the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) will be required to start the business. The number is used
by the Federal state to control and get in touch with the business in America. The business will
be named LICIOUS restaurant and will be registered as a partnership business.
` The company will be located at Melbourne Victoria; the restaurant will cover about 10 by
10-meter square. Hence there will be a need of hiring a premise that has the space that I require.
The business will be situated near the market area and the busy street. This will provide a wide
range of the market. The enterprise that I found when researching it cost about 10$ per month,
the owner receives rent monthly without fail.

Key personnel
The organization to start and run efficiently it needs a minimum staff of 20 personnel
who are given different role as seen earlier to operate the business. The staff is required to
operate the business with the highest standards that are required. The recruitment for workers
will take place in two weeks’ time. (Epstein, 2018) after recruitment of the twenty employees,
there will be a need to train workers on how to handle customers and implement sustainable
excellence management in order to achieve the stated goals. For those working at the kitchen
must have been gone through hospitality and chef colleges and attained a certificate in it with an
experience of not less than three years. While for the waiter they need to have gone through a
hospitality course and attain the certificate.

expected to report at work as early as 7;00 am in the morning, this will help in curbing
production delays that are caused by lateness. (Carolan, 2018) The business will be closing at
6:00 pm in the evening but the product will be always available in the online platform to be
delivered on the next day. There will be a book to be signed by employees as they report and
leave the enterprise.

The major objective of the business is to maximize profit by maximizing sales, as one of
the business managers am targeting to get a sale of 20000$ after every month, by maintaining
such a sale as an enterprise we will be able to meet our financial operation cost and yield profit
for the shareholders. (Burns, 2016) The business starts up capital will first come from our local

institution and banks. In my assumption, I assume that on peak period like the season we are
approaching we will be able to increase our sales in order to cover for the periods when the
business is down in terms of sales. Maintaining customers contact is one of the measures that we
will use to make sure even in the down period we are able to communicate with our customers
and persuade them to purchase our products
