AI Summary
This report provides an analysis of lessons learned from various planning approaches, including Lean Six Sigma, Agile methodologies, and Kanban systems. The student explores the core principles of Lean Six Sigma, emphasizing its role in defining problems, measuring their extent, and analyzing them efficiently. The report highlights the importance of the three governing factors of six sigma (policy, procedure, and process) in controlling and managing value streams, as well as in strategic planning. The Agile process is discussed for its adaptability and ability to help organizations respond to unplanned circumstances and turn problems into opportunities. The Kanban board is examined for its effectiveness in multitasking and optimizing workflows. The student applies these lessons to both professional and personal contexts, demonstrating how these planning approaches can enhance leadership skills, improve time management, and enable effective problem-solving. The report also includes a reference list of sources used to support the analysis.

LESSON LEARNED FROM PLANNING APPROACHES
The main lessons learned
Lesson 1:
By learning lean six sigma, I have learned to define a problem, measure the extent of a
problem and analyze the problem in a very descriptive and efficient manner. From lean six sigma
I have learned the various process related to problem solving process and apply them in my
personal as well as professional life (Drohomeretski, Gouvea da Costa, Pinheiro de Lima &
Garbuio, 2014). The three governing factors of six sigma which are generally policy, procedure
and process have helped me in understanding how I can control and manage all value stream.
With the help of six sigma I have learned how to plan ahead and understand my goals and
missions. I learned to pin point the pain areas under all aspect and then decide effectively the
future problem solving process to be taken (Albliwi, Antony, Abdul Halim Lim & van der Wiele,
2014).
Lesson 2:
The main lesson learned from the agile process is that the business in the modern world is
very agile and requires urgent steps to be taken for conducting the business. I think with the help
of agility a company will be able to respond to any kind of unplanned circumstances which
might be hampering the business of the company (Cervone, 2014). With the help of agile process
I believe an organization will be able to spot a problem quickly and then turn that problem into
an opportunity for the organization. The various volatile, complex, ambiguity and uncertainty
circumstances faced by organizations around the world can be easily avoided by the use and
implementation of agile process in the organizations (Sommer, Hedegaard, Dukovska-Popovska
& Steger-Jensen, 2015).

Lesson 3:
The main lesson which I have learned from Kanban board is the various ways by the help
of which multitasking can be done in a precise manner. The difference between the pull and push
systems of the Kanaban process is that pulling system is considered to be more powerful and
better than push system as it has the ability to reduce the waste which is created during the
implementation of any kind of process (Ahmad, Markkula & Oivo, 2013).
How these lessons can be applied
Lesson 1:
Professionally I have been very much helped by lean six sigma in my professional life.
With the help of lean six sigma I have learned that how to be a good leader by the help of the
various techniques which I have learned about cut costs and the various ways to increase the
revenue of the company (Albliwi, Antony, Abdul Halim Lim & van der Wiele, 2014). With the
help of learning six sigma I have achieved the possibilities of becoming the change agent of the
company which helps me to lead the various efforts which are needed for improving the various
process around the organization. With the help of learning six sigma there are increased chances
the quality of the products which are being produced by the company will be enhanced and the
service provided to the customers will also be drastically improved.
Lesson 2:
With the help of the agile process I have been very much helpful in my personal life. I
have managed to maintain my time in a very organized way and have learned the various steps
which is needed by me to tackle my problems (Sommer, Hedegaard, Dukovska-Popovska &
Steger-Jensen, 2015). While tackling with my problems I have become able to address my
problems from beforehand and have been able to turn my problems in my opportunities. I have

understood the volatility and complexity of the problems which I have faced in my life, and have
been able to find the perfect solution for solving my problems with the help of mastering the
agile process. By maintaining the various steps and understanding the agile process I have been
very helpful in my personal life (Sommer, Hedegaard, Dukovska-Popovska & Steger-Jensen,
2015).
Lesson 3:
With the implementation of Kanban in my professional life I have been very helpful. With the
implementation of Kanban I have been able to visualize my work properly and maintain my
tasks in a proper way (Rahman, Sharif & Esa, 2013). In the era of swift business I have been able
to have a control on my workforce stage by understanding the core concept of the task and do it
in a very concise manner. By the implementation of Kanban, remote teams of companies around
the world have been very much helpful and agile in-office teams has also been very helpful from
this process (Ahmad, Markkula & Oivo, 2013).
