INTRODUCTION
There are various skills and knowledge that are need for continuous growth and
development of individual in personal and professional life. This report prepares a plan about
various skills that I developed during my first year of study in Business school. It explains about
various skill that are present at time of academic year 2018-19 and skill that need to be present
till now and areas in which I need to improve myself to grow in future career.
MAIN BODY
I while studying in first year of academic session in my business school gained various
new skills and abilities which have broaden my horizon and enhanced my potentialities which
can be analyzed through various parameters. Some skills have become my strength as i have
efficiently learnt various functional abilities which have evolved within me from long period by
gaining training from my teachers, supervisors and while working with group and teammates. I
have also analyzed various paradigms which needs to be constructed effectively with more
focus towards them to improve them for long term good presentation and working efficiency
within my professional careers (Scott,Thomson, and Willison,2019).
Communication skills: Verbal and written communication skills are highly important among
students to gain strong working efficiency within their professional and academic careers as it
generates the base to function effectively . While working for projects, assignments given by our
professors I was able to build my communication skills as there were various group discussions
held in classes where I got opportunity to build my internal talent and confidence to
communicate verbally. Later written communication skills were also developed as I researched
effectively in my projects, noted down various important points through which I was able to
convert into my strength. Communication skills have become my strength and fundamental
ability to resolve various problems and challenges which I faced during completion of projects
and assignments. The communication skills are highly important and vital to communicate
properly with colleagues, team members and with professors while studying as it became my
strength with practise and regular practise. These skills have highly updated my working horizon
of knowledge and flexibility to promote my ideas and relatively broaden my technical ability to
keenly address all my responsibilities given by my professors (Marrington, O’Shea and Burton,
2019).

Team working skills: I gained large knowledge on various perspectives while working in
groups with various team members where we had various programming functions on several
case studies of business. Team working skills have helped me evolve within myself with various
creative paradigms which have become my strength and cores ability which will help me further
in my professional career. It helped me boost my morale, as we were given opportunities to
showcase ideas, talents and communicate effectively among each other on various research
topics. Team working skills also brought the importance of cooperative learning, with confidence
and the determinants on which further actions can be built for gaining strong leverage on these
scenarios. I learned my weak points such as the inclusion of creativity and fundamental arenas
to work more productively in my forthcoming academic years. Team working skills gained me
knowledge to complete my high end targets completion and work ethically with strong
leadership , communication among team members which are profoundly important to bring
leverage in performance and function high in academic and professional careers (Lord, Babraj
and Richardson,2019).
Interpersonal skills: I while working among various team mates and learning from supervisors
gained various techniques and productive ideas to enhance my interpersonal skills. Later there
was high relevance given by our professors and leaders to share ideas, ask queries during
assignments which developed my horizon variably to bring innovation and creativity. I realised
the vivid importance of interpersonal skills as they determine personal growth on various
grounds, keenly enhance the functional goals on which further productivity is established.
Interpersonal skills define how a person establishes communication among peers, leaders and
on various scenarios in personal as well as professional lives. These skills helped me to
potentially bring my queries in subject related problems in front of my supervisors and
professors, where I felt first less confident. Later I acknowledged with study and training those
interpersonal skills are base for gaining strong career growth in professional careers.
Interpersonal skills determine various arenas on which further productivity is established where
with guidance by my professors, I built my weaknesses into strength and collectively i was able
to enhance the graph of gaining further strong advancement in my career (Lindsay,2019).
Numeracy skills: These skills refer to ability of use, interpretation and communicate various
information through which real problems are solved effectively as ability to vitally enhance
productivity develops in various works in an individual fundamentally. I while studying in my
business school learnt variant methods of numeracy skills which have enabled me to develop
strong maths, research ability and fundamental development. Numeracy skills are highly
effective and with training by professors, teachers i practised a lot in my projects which made

me skilled and function more profoundly in my academic and professional careers. While i faced
difficulty in starting due to less skills and knowledge of analytical parameters which are
important to gain large efficiency and successful completion of professional career. Later the
teachings of numeracy skills have evolved my overall scenario and productivity to complete my
projects, assignments and functional research ability to promote business vision.
Information and communication skills: ICT skills refer to people ability to converse with
people on networking websites communication technologies such as telephones and through
video conferencing. Information research analytical skills are highly important to develop and be
progressive in all practical fields as overall personality evolves when ITC skills are highly
profound. ITC skills have made my vision enlarged; materialistically broaden my vision as
dynamically overall productivity is increased. Marketing and research factor is an evolving
concept where a person is able to be work with strong determination towards various business
objectives which are highly important to be successful in professional lives. ITC skills have not
only broadened my vision and perspectives of various research topics and the rational thinking
to relatively leverage various productive data among all my research topics. Information
technology skills also made me learn to choose only reliable and relevant information, data
which enabled me for gaining strong benchmarks in my performance My professors have
helped me in using data informatively on various uses and developed my knowledge of work
ethics, business ethics which have evolved my overall productivity (Cotronei-Baird,2020).
Problem solving: I was not able to take appropriate decision within specific time period before
my academic studies but as soon I get to know about various methods to solve particular
problem it help me a lot. I get to know that to resolve particular problem we have to analysis
various factors that lead to creation of challenges so that effective solution can be find
(Ruggiero and Green, 2017). Therefore I need decide to develop problem solving ability in
myself to take correct and accurate decision regarding various topics. I have planned to resolve
mathematics problem and analysis large number of data so that my thinking and analytical skill
can be developed. Thus, such development helps in actual growth and enhancement of my skill
to perform various function and activities in future times (D'Agostino, 2019).
Time management: It is crucial skill that is to be present in each and every individual so that it
can perform different task within specific time to get competitive advantages over other. I get to
know that I was not able to manage time effective which has lead to delay of work and decision
making. But I during my class my lecture has told about importance of time management and
the way it can be managed so that individual can achieve great success and growth in personal

life (Ritter and et.al., 2018). From that point of time I decided to improve my time management
abilities and make it one of my strength to complete task during set time period. I have use
various strategies to manage time such as distribution of activities that need to be performed in
particular period, evaluation of time that need to be taken to perform different activities. All such
helps me to improve my time management skill day by day and develop this skill as my strength
to get numerous opportunities in future career. High determination and confidence in myself
motivate me to work more to improve time management skill that are overview and analysed by
every employer while recruiting employees in the organisation (Osmani, Hindi and Weerakkody,
2018). Therefore developed of time management skill helps in effective growth and
development of myself and raised my confidence to perform different activities.
CONCLUSION
From the above report it can be concluded that skill and knowledge helps in performing
various function effectively without wastage of time and efforts. Communication, time
management, interpersonal and team work ability are mostly important and necessary skill that
needs to be present in an individual. It can also be concluded that we should learn new and
innovative skill to gain competitive advantages over other individual.
