Business Process Analysis
Business Process Analysis is a method by which an organisation can able to understand their
business processes. It reviews the entire operations of the business (Rosemann and vom Brooke,
2015). A business process consists of data input, data output, different controls, a procedure to
handle data. These aspects are reviewing by analysing the entire process. Business Process
Analysis also makes time management and cost estimation.
Analysis Techniques of Business Process
There are some predefine steps are develop to analysing any business process. An organisation
should attempt this following step to make a proper analysis for their business.

Process Identification
The initial step of Business Process analysis is identifying process needs, which will use for
future improvement. An organisation has to identify the process that has the most critical
contribution to fulfil their ultimate goal (Chang, 2016). A suggestion made by Peter Drucker

helps an organisation to figure that process. As per Peter Drucker, an organisation should clear
about five aspects before starting any business analysis (Smith, 2018). First, they have to explain
their mission. Without understand the reason for the company's existence, it is difficult to
establish a purpose which will be suitable for the company. Secondly, an organisation should
know about their client because they are not only the end user. A customer’s feedback helps in
the business analysis process (Zur Muehlen and Shapiro, 2015). So, the value of the customer
should be known by the company. After this, identify the critical results of the business and
finally establish an appropriate plan.
Business Process Modelling
Business Process Modelling is a graphical representation of the business process. It is the most
critical component of any business process management. Initially, this modelling starts with pen
and paper (Goedertier, Vanthienen and Caron, 2015). However, the actual modelling needs to
create on a digital platform to maintain a proper flow of work. It allows any organisation to
represent their entire business process on a digital platform.

Above figure is an example of the business process model. Here in this model, the entire working
schedule and the process of work has been described. As per the model, the whole working
group actives on Friday at 6 PM sharp. After that, the entire working group will be check. If the

working group is still active, then send them the current issue list. This whole process runs in a
cycle still the desired goal fulfilled.
Modelling Tools
Most Business Process Model retinue includes a modelling tool for them. However, some of
them have modelled as a separate application. The modeller is the most important part of a
BUSINESS Process Modeling System (Khdair, Awad and Othman, 2017). A good modeller
should understandable for every business department. This tool should be simple for the teams
and easy to communicate. It also should not too expensive for the organisation. A good modeling
tool has to simulate workflow before the implementation.
The usefulness of a modelling process is indisputable for all kind of business whether it is a
small size business or not. To maintain a constant flow of work, the only way is to create a
proper model for any organisation
