BCO5501 - Business Process Engineering: BPMN and SAP Workflow Design

This project focuses on the application of BPMN (Business Process Model and Notation) and SAP workflow design within the context of Premium Patio Furniture, a company involved in manufacturing and selling lawn and garden furniture. The assignment begins with the creation of BPMN models to visualize key processes, including the main business process, the order fulfillment process, the sales process, the installation process, and the assembly process. These models provide a clear representation of the steps involved. Subsequently, the project delves into the design of an SAP workflow, detailing the organizational structure with departments and job roles, along with a breakdown of activities such as order checking, payment evaluation, client registration, credit limit creation, site visits, installation scheduling, and delivery. Each activity is thoroughly described, including the responsible department, job position, and the trigger conditions for execution. Finally, a SAP workflow diagram visually represents the interconnectedness of these activities, illustrating the flow of information and tasks within the organization. The assignment utilizes a case study approach, providing a practical application of business process engineering principles within a real-world business scenario.

Part 2: SAP Work Flow Design
Organizational Plan: The organizational units are order receivable department, sales
department, accounts department, installation department and warehouse. The jobs available
in the organization are order clerk, sales staff, accountant, installation management, installer,
warehouse staff and delivery person/driver.

Site Visit After each order is requested that requires site visit, the sales
representative visit the site
Schedule
installation
The tasks that need installation are scheduled or rescheduled based
on the work
Delivery The driver receive the order and make delivery. After each delivery
the signed docket is delivered to the accounts department
Make Payment The client make payment for each of their order either as exceeded
purchase cost or normal credited cost
