 The study evaluates the application of BPI in the health sector
 Business process improvement is an exercise for management
where managers focus on identifying the areas of their business
processes that can be improved (Aburub, 2014)
 Business process improvement in health sectors refer to the
optimization of the processes that can help to provide better
health services to patients.

Introducing the RAD model
 RAD is defined as diagrammatic notations that
are used to represent the coordinated behaviors
and the interactions that take place within a
process (Heiniemi, 2018).
 RAD is the shorter form of Role Activity
Diagramming (RAD)
 The model is used to understand the roles
structure and dynamics in various organizations.

Introduction: The Jordan Cancer
Registry
 The business context that was considered for the research
in the case study was for cancer registration in Jordan
 Established in 1996 for maintaining a population oriented
registry as a part of the Health Ministry of Jordan
 It is a professional organization that is dedicated to the
collection and recording of cancer cases and their
outcomes.

Critical analysis of the process
modelling
 The RAD based process model was effective in understanding the
business process of the JCI
 7 important phases of BCI were identified, which helped in the
better understanding of the process
 Phase 1- understanding the present process; Phase 2- modelling
the current process; Phase 3- validating the current model; Phase
4- Analyzing the current process; Phase 5- Re-designing the
present process; Phase 6- Evaluating the redesigned process and
Phase 7- Implementing the redesigned process.
 the process model provided was more effective than the other
BPM tools such as flowcharts data flow diagrams or Gantt charts

 The methodology was important as the various phases were
important in determining the functional improvement of the
organization
 The methodology helped to point out the problem areas in phase 4:
