The activity map is the diagnostic tool that is used for identification of the competitive
advantage of the organisation. It creates the effective communication with the value
proposition of the organisation to all the activities of the organisation that enables the users to
deliver the value proposition in an enhanced manner than the competitors. It is particularly
useful when it is required to make the incremental decisions regarding the new approach or
any opportunity that fits the strategy. The activity system map could be used for determining
the methods by which the communication of the function and the policy is made to strategy
of the organisation and it could be used for cascading the KPIs of the organisation.

A study of enterprise resource planning (ERP) system performance measurement using
the quantitative balanced scorecard approach
In this article, the authors conduct the measurement of the system performance of
ERP or enterprise resource planning by utilising the quantitative balanced scorecard
approach. The evaluation framework of the ERP that provides the integration of the balanced
scorecard dimensions, the linguistic variables and the non-additive fuzzy integral delivers the
objective approach for measurement of both the performance level of ERP system and the
contribution to strategic objectives of high tech firms. The use of ERP is being extensively
done for integrating the information of the organisation and accelerate the distribution across
the functions and the department with intent of increasing the operational performance of the
organisation.

It has been discussed in this website that in the present world organisations, the
requirements of any kind of change is significant. Even though this change is regarding the

management for encouraging the individuals to adopt, embrace and then utilise the required
change. It could be understood that the organisations do not particularly need change, the

The complete range of the activities that is done by the firms and the workers for
bringing any product from the conception to the end use and provide the common people. It
includes the activities like the production, design, marketing, support and the distribution to
end user. The activities that are comprised in the value chain could be contained in the single
firm or it might be divided between various firms. The value chain activities could produce
the services or the goods and it could be contained in the single geographical location or it
might spread over the wider areas. The notion of the value chains is entirely based on the
process view of the organisations, idea of viewing the manufacturing organisation as the
system, that is created with the subsystems and each with the inputs, processes of
transformation and the outputs.
