Improvement in Fulfilment order process
Tapzeem chemicals are known to be a wholesaler that supplies independent pharmacies
which in Australia. The organization aims to deal with pharmaceutical drugs. The whole of the
organization works through the sale force where each of salesperson that is being allocated to a
particular region (Geissdoerfer, Bocken and Hultink 2016). There is always some room for
overall improvement in the operation of picku, which is a faster throughput, increase in accuracy,
usage of space or much better accommodation.
Faster throughput: Batch picking goods come up together with items like inventory
management software. This merely comprises of sequence of items that need to be picked in the
single unit. There are multiple of same kind of SKU which are picked and delivered properly to
the nearby station (Alpers et al . 2015). It is mainly needed for sorting with the appropriate order
that is needed for shipping. When batching is combined with AS/RS along with pick of right
technology can improve the overall throughput.
Increase in Pick accuracy: Mistakes concerning pick are completely banded by most of
the warehouse manager. The point is estimated that around 35 percent of facilities focus on
improving the pick error rates. Around 1 percent sound slim margin for overall improvement that
adds up quickly (Vasilecas, Kalibatiene and Lavbič 2016). Both AS/RS features like light
directed indicators focus on pinpoint for precise location of SKU.
Managing the season demand: Most of the warehouse aims to experience a peak and
demand throughout the whole year. It is mainly done throughout the whole day. AS/RS
technology can easily accommodate the spikes that are in demand. It will merely improve
routine, which tends to take place during the shift (Hinkelmann et al . 2016). The whole thing is

possible as a result of inventory management software and integrates control along with facilities
for warehouse management system (WMS). Data in together form provides information which
can bring balance for order flow with availability of worker. It comes up with material handling
system.
Speeding up productivity of labour: If number of pickers are added for filling up the
order then it will not bring any kind of financial sense. With increase in the number of workers, it
can create much more congestion (Hira and Deshpande 2018). The whole thing will ultimately
slow down productivity instead of increasing it. By implementing one or more horizontal or
vertical carousel then VLM will operate on good to person principles. This particular aspect will
remove the travel from pick face to another. To increase the productivity both AS/RS
technologies needs to be integrated that is light directed system for picking. This will merely
illuminate the location of item (Elgammal et al . 2016). This particular step will remove the
search time in the pick face. These particular step will ultimately improve overall productivity.

Answer to Question 3
Organization need to implement reengineering process
Reengineering of an organization can be stated as a method which is needed for
reviewing at various level of an organization. It can be stated as a method of doing a business
and understanding how the given things can be improved (Koschmider and Reijers 2015). The
main notion of re-engineering is all about increasing the overall profit of the organisation. Along
with this, it helps in improving the competitive advantage in the marketplace. The mere notion is
all about improving the public image. Re-engineering mainly requires the organization to that
they can have close look at the strength and weakness. The mere focus is asking difficult
question and look for overall betterment of the organization (de Oca et al . 2015). There are a
large number of reason behind the implementation of re-engineering processes like
By the help of re-engineering, the given firm can have radical changes in the overall
performance. It is completely measured by various parameters like cost, service, quality
and cycle time.
It will merely improve the overall competitiveness in the operating network by the help
of simpler and less process of productivity.
Re-engineering processes aims to encourage organization so that they can provide
conventional approaches to problem solving.
Slow and continuous method of improvement can leave various organization unprepared
in the present competitive world. The whole thing comes into picture as a result of
change in market place (Ji-fan Ren et al . 2017). Re-engineering will merely help the
organization in understanding the required changes in their pace and improving the
overall quality of their response for the need of the customer.

By the help of reengineering process, an organization can be changed from the given rule
driven (Hasić, De Smedt and Vanthienen 2017). It will become job centred organization
so that they can structure of marketing, which merely focuses on customer.
Re-engineering is many cases can result in radical design of new organization which will
help the organization in providing much better response. This will be very much
important for competitive pressures and increase in overall share of market and
profitability (Kožíšek and Vrana 2017). This will merely improve the overall cycle time
and quality and cost ratio.
Major of re-engineering effort will make changes that tend to take place in the corporate
culture. Most of the basic principles are given by operating department. All level of
workers is completely encouraging so that they can suggest overall improvement (del–
Río–Ortega et al . 2015). The point is that management will believe want they listen and
what is said to them. Reengineering will help the culture of the organization so that it can
evolve from the insular one. It will merely help in accepting change and methods of
dealing with it.
Re-engineering will ultimately help in creating much more challenges and more
rewarding jobs along with broad responsibilities for the employees. It will merely help in
job design.
Different methods used by organization in implementing a reengineering
process
The main idea behind the re-engineering is all about rethinking and breaking down of the
current process in the business. This particular aspect helps in minimizing the overall cost and
enhancing the overall productivity (Geissdoerfer, Bocken and Hultink 2016). In the year 1990,

hammer and Champy for “Re-engineering the corporation”. The book highlights radical design
and overall recognition in the organization. The mere focus is all about reducing the overall cost
and improving the overall quality of services. There is large number of reasons for different
firms so that they can re-engineer the business process (Alpers et al . 2015). The main notion of
this is all about customer satisfaction, reducing the overall cost and increase in overall
competitiveness.
Business Vision and objectives: Re-engineering aims to begin with the defined and
measurable objectives. The mere focus is all about reducing the overall cost and improving the
quality of products. Along with this, it is needed for enhancing efficiency along with framework
which needs to be achieved (Vasilecas, Kalibatiene and Lavbič 2016). The whole thing is
decided upon at the very outset, which is in line with the vision and mission of the organization.
Identifying and Slacking process: The point needs to be taken into account all the
required processes are completely studied and slacking, which needs to be improved. The given
process is in direct line with the impact of the organization that is output or clash with the
organization. The organization is known to be part of the red list (Hinkelmann et al . 2016). By
the help of clear identification, analysis is done with respect re-engineering success and any kind
of failure.
Information technology and capabilities: By the help of efficient and relevant IT system
is considered to be important for the re-engineering process. In absence of such system, it is not
possible to keep a track of all the factors that is needed for change. It is mainly done for radically
re-engineering activity (Hira and Deshpande 2018). It can be stated as an important system
which can easily make changes concerning magnitude of change.

Design built and test of new prototype: Before launching of new product when the
prototype is tested out. Any kind of failure in the stage of testing can never be implemented on a
large scale (Elgammal et al . 2016). Re-engineering project fails as a result of a variety of reason
which cannot identify and have limitation in the testing stage.
Adapting the organization: Proper management of change in the re-engineering activity
can be stated as the final effort for any given project. There is a need for providing any kind of
update concerning documents and organization structure (Koschmider and Reijers 2015). Re-
engineering process can be stated as a radical change activity, which is not repeated if it goes
wrong towards the outlook.
