INTRODUCTION
The role of equality on the work place and diversity on work place is important for
organization. These both things are related to the performance and personal satisfaction of
individual person in an organization. Workplace diversity in organization is defined as- if the
work place of organization is consists of people who could be differentiated on basis of race,
gender, education, lifestyle, sexual orientation, religion, age and their personal values. Diversity
allows the organization to collect people in organization who are possessing different qualities
and skills which are useful for organization to maintain their performance in the market place.
This is a challenge for organization to manage equality on the diverse range of people or
employees in organization. So, organization used different policies that can allow them to meet
the equality demands of organization. Organization like British Petrolium achieve these goals
using different practices that are focused on improving the workplace environment by implement
better relationship between employees. This report is focused on British Petrolium which is a
public limites organization that considered in the oil and gas. It was founded in year 1909 by
William Knox D'Arcy
Project management is a process that is followed by the organization to full fill particular
goals of organization. This is a typical process that includes various steps that can support the
process of implementing improvement in the organization. The main step of project management
plan are- select the target for particular plan, collect relevant information that is effective for
better implementation of the particular plan in the organization, analysis of information that is
collected in the research process, evaluate the relevancy of information that can be used in the
project to improve the diversity of organization along with better equality practices with in the
work place.

objectives is important. For this administration prepare effective plan of action to achieve them

changed so that emerging needs of the customers can be achieved in the global market. The
framed aims and objective helps staff members of the to work day and night to full-fill them
respectively .

To understand the necessity for improvement in equality and diversity criteria for the

To study benefits and drawbacks faced by British Petrolium while upgrading equality and
diversity prospects in order to meet global requirements.

Quality: To bind customers with the product and services it is important to provide
quality services. By this act goodwill can be raised in the eyes of the customers. It leads to
increase in sales volume which directly generate huge profits.
Cost: Money is the back of every firm. Sufficient funds aid them to create tough
competition for rivalry in the global market. whereas, sum of $ 80,000 is the estimate cost which
is needed by British Petrolium. The lack of deficiency of money can be solved by taking cash
amount from banks, other financial institution, relatives, family members etc.
Risk: It is the success ladder which need to be beared by British Petrolium to grow the

activities and current schedule status. In Gantt Chart the width of horizontal bar shows duration
of each activity while vertical axis presents task to be performed and time interval is

demonstrated on horizontal axis. It is a graphical chart of a schedule that aid to coordinate, plan
and track particular tasks in a a project.
Break Down Structure: This approach is used in British Petrolium as it simply the task
into smaller sections. By this act the work can be completed easily in the set time duration. Also,
the chances of error is eliminated when the task is decentralized among the people as per their
qualifications. WBS is the core element which deliverable the companies team work into
manageable sections .

information and data. Here, there is no use of mathematical figure which become easy for

be easily presented without any error and confusion. As it focus on quality of the collected data
this makes the project more interesting for readers.
Quantitative method: The project which is based on quantitative method included more
of numerical and mathematical figures. It is bit complex in nature as compare to qualitative
method. Organization adopts quantitative method in their work as it helps demonstrate the
information by graphs, pie chart, diagrams etc. it become interesting for the readers to grab the
information and knowledge from numerical figures.
Qualitative method is effectively implemented by British Petrolium in their data
collection activities. It makes the work of high quality which is a positive mark for the company
