Background of study
Digital technology and continuous development in the media are also transforming the
ways of various business enterprises, groups and societies for communication, learning,
understanding and accomplishment of work (Mammen and et.al., 2016). Underutilisation of
digital technology is also considered as major impact on the regulation of business operation in
the countries as in competitive business environment, it creates hurdle to get success over its
competitors. Present research reports is based on the case of Kensington College of Business
(KCB) which is situated in UK and provides higher education courses to the students in central
London. It is also analysed from the case that the school planning for the business transformation
and expansion with an aim of increasing the number of students in the country. Brexit is also
considered as important Hurdle which determines the problems which are created in getting an
entrance of people from the EU and getting an important understanding of the research practices
that needs to be taken in to consideration in order to achieve some important objective. Under
post BREXIT, KCB has known developed an objective to develop its global campus in the EU
countries where they will try increase their number of students. Under this scenario, company
will have identified that they don't have enough digital technologies to promote their business in
EU countries which creates a major impact on their operations as they will not be able increase
the promotion of their new business school global (Kerr and et.al., 2016). Other than this, there
are some important business aims and objectives have considered which provides an
understanding about the methods which will be used by the scholar to get relevant and
appropriate work break structure is also been prepared in order to determine the process which is
followed by him to complete the above research study effectively

Research methodology
It mainly comprises various research methods and the factors that support the scholar in
order to determine the effective pattern and ways of conducting effective research for managing
successful business project. It is also describes different kinds of tools and techniques which is
used by the scholar (Silverman, 2016). However, it provides effective techniques to collect the
information and further provide support in analysing the information through the application of
the easiest tools and techniques as per the tools which are used for the collecting the data.
Further, the methodology ensures and assist researcher in conducting ethical research process
which aims at protecting the human emotions, values ad beliefs In present analysis, there are
some important methodologies qualitative and quantitative methods of conducting research have
been analysed which is used scholar such as: Research philosophies: It is simply considered as belief of the scholar towards the
process of completion of project that provides him assistance in development of
understanding over the aims and topic of the entire business projects (Smith, 2015.).
Mainly there are two types of research philosophies like Interpretivism and positivism.
Both these will support in analysing the issues and proving the appropriate solutions.
Philosophy of interpretivism involves the qualitative research approach of conducting the
research under which their structure format that involves interviews, questions, group
discussion and observation. IT is the considered as the easiest ways for the scholar to
analyse key challenges faced by organisation while under utilization of digital technology
in order to meet their requirement of global campus. Further, positivism approach of
research philosophy will also give a structured plan for the undertaking research process
in which the scholar will get solutions from secondary research. It is based on the facts
which are already available thus, it is clear that the scholar will use interpretivism
philosophy. Research design: Further, this is also considered as most effective part of the study and
also implied as the blue print of information which is collected by scholar. This is also
used to provide some important methods under research design according to the research
approach and philosophy used for development knowledge like compromise, explanatory
and exploratory, cross sectional, analytical and descriptive research design methods.
Further, it is considered that analytical research design assist the scholar in analysing the

very aspect to collect the information and all the possible solutions to under the data
which is collected where the descriptive research design method will support the scholar
to get an in-depth understanding of research methodology (Brinkmann, 2014). Further
exploratory method is also useful for scholar in analysing the information to the deepest
insight that sometime become complicated and difficult for the scholar to analyse the
methods. Thus, it is clear that scholar will use the descriptive research design methods to
analyse the data and information collected on key challenges faced by organisation while
under utilization of digital technology in order to meet their requirement of global
campus. Research approach: Further, this is also crucial part which helps the individual in
determination of effectiveness of research process. It consists of various tools for
determination of knowledge the on the information which is collected. Under this, scholar
will collect and recognise the information through implementation of theories and
important principles which are used to clarify the effectiveness of the collected data and
information. Further, it usually involves the two approaches like inductive and deductive.
Inductive approach of research will provide supports to scholar in creating various
theories and principles on the basis of already available facts and figures whereas the
deductive approach depends upon testing of the relevant facts and figures. Therefore,
scholar will use deductive method of research approach in order to analyse key
challenges faced by organisation while under utilization of digital technology in order to
meet their requirement of global campus. Sampling: It is also considered as the crucial parts of the research methodologies that
comes under the quantitative research methods under which a sample size has been
selected from the target population given to conduct research on the students of KCB and
challenges which are faced by them in expansion of there business in EU countries due to
underutilisation of digital technology. In this, sampling methods the scholar will analyse
the potential respondents that will assist the scholar in collection adequate and
information that is reliable for the customers to collect the various important business
information. There are various kinds of methods like cluster sampling that needs to be
taken in to consideration like cluster, systematic, multistage and random sampling. In

this research, scholar will use the methods of random sampling in which it will select the
10 potential employees of KCB. Data collection: It is essential parts for research methodology which is used to conduct
the research study that is based the on the two methods like primary and secondary
method of data collection (Taylor, Bogdan and DeVault, 2015). In this, primary method
of data collection is based on collection of fresh information from the various sources like
development of questionnaire and collection of data and information from the ethical
grounds. Further, the secondary method of data collection is used to collect the
information from the books, journals and articles which is already published and done by
the scholar. Thus, from this, it is clearly considered that scholar will select both the
primary and secondary y methods of collecting the data for the completion of study
effectively.
 Ethical consideration: It is considered as the determination of information which is
correct and ethical from the research point of view (Kumar, 2014). Under this research,
the scholar has specified that the information which is collected by him will be ethical
and correct. Scholar has not applied any unethical practices to collect the information and
employees of KCB are not forced to provide information. Researcher has also stated that
that data which is collected from the secondary methods of research is properly cited.

sale and profitability of various enterprise. Further concept of BREXIT has provided an
understanding that there are various enter barriers have been created by government of UK on
entry of people from the EU countries in the UK which has effected the operations. In order to
complete this research study has used various important methods to analyse and collect the data
through it is clearly identified that organisation is not using the effective digital technologies and
underutilisation of technologies will affect their business. Further, it is also analysed that
employee in KCB are not provided authority to provide suggestion for the improvement and

employees have been taken which has also provided an undertaking that organisation needs to

organisation. It is also analysed that the KCB is not using the latest technologies as they have
effective and skilled employees which support them in managing those technologies at
workplace. Thus, it is recommended to the KCB have important needs to introduce digital
technologies in their business operation along with the growth of various important business
approaches. Employees also plays an important role in proving growth to the organisation and
supports them in getting more the and more profitability so it is also essentials for the enterprise
to get the support of their employees in application of new digital technologies and removing all
those challenges which are faced by them due underutilisation of technology.

Inevitably, there will be some arguments over the merits and distinction in order to acquire
knowledge of the underlying foundations of perspective and phenomena without regard of
a particular application. Fundamental research has clearly and effectively differentiated
from one form of basis of an applied ultimate goal. From the effective analysis, it is clearly
understood that values of scholar towards conducting research is analysis to acquire key
knowledge and skill of conducting research individually with aim of getting more and
more reflective understanding of work and gaining effective understand about the various
research methods which are useful for the organisation to collect and analyse primary and
secondary research. At first stage, scholar has developed aims and objectives that are
related to the aim which was developed by the principles and objective of learning. It is
also considered as equal that needs to be taken in to consideration by the organisation and
also making them available by the effective knowledge and practice. Scenario of
Keingston business school is taken in consideration for evaluation of various challenges
which they face in while development of their new global campus EU countries due to
underutilisation of digital technology. Another important value behind research was to gain
knowledge about development of project management plan according to which the whole
business project being accomplished effectively. A Gantt chart was being prepared and

organised with an aim of effective completion of different stages of project. Moreover, all
other equal methods have been conducted with an aim to provide an effective
understanding about effective qualitative and quantitative methods that have been used to
collect the primary and secondary information.
