1BUSINESS PROJECT MANAGEMENT
Project Proposal:
Introduction:
About 10 million overseas trips are commenced by the Australians in a single year
which is quite huge. In this number of the 10 million almost 6 million peoples suffer health
related issues due to the overseas travelling in Australia. This thing is not a normal thing that
peoples are getting sick due to overseas travelling. Thus some preventive actions need to be
utilized for the protection of the travellers. In this case the Sanofi Pasteur which is a
pharmaceutical company has determined that only 54% of the peoples visit to the doctor to
take advice for the overseas trip (Guy et al. 2015). For this reason the main objective of the
Sanofi Pasteur is to provide tactical recommendation which will help to close the distance
between the individuals who takes the pre-travel health advice and who don’t (Santantonio et
al. 2014). There are actually various type of diseases which can marginally affect the health
condition of the Australian travellers. This project also aims to gather more information about
the medicine codes of the Australia (Teall 2014). It is very much essential for the overseas
travellers to take proper advice from the doctors before planning the trip which can effectively
help to prevent the occurrence of various type of disease.
Proposed Research Methods:
It is very much essential to determine the causes for which the travellers are suffering
health issues. So, the main theory of this research proposal is to identify the reasons behind
the sickness of the travellers while travelling to overseas. Also, it is very much essential to
gather information about the diseases which can help the healthcare professionals to provide
proper guidance to avoid such type of disease (Sacco et al. 2013). With that another main
research theory is assessing the popular destinations from where this diseases are coming. It is
also need to be researched that why the peoples are not interested in taking the advice from
the doctors before going to the vacations (Ducat et al. 2015).
All the above theories are applicable in this case. Identifying the reasons is a very
important thing as it is essential for mitigate the health issues in a greater margin. Also, the
healthcare professionals can use this information to develop an effective defensive strategy
(Légaré et al. 2014). The research about why the peoples are not interested in getting the
advice from the doctors which will help to determine the issues thus an effective way can be
taken to generate interest of the peoples.

2BUSINESS PROJECT MANAGEMENT
To execute these theories qualitative type of data collection is required. Qualitative
data analysis is required to determine the reason of the disease which cannot be determined by
quantitative type of data analysis (Miles, Huberman & Saldana 2013). To analyse this type of
qualitative data content analysis technique is used in most of the cases. Also, the framework
analysis and discourse analysis is done to analyse the gathered qualitative data.
Benefit of the Project:
The project will have a vast positive impact on the organization if it executed in a
proper way. The main benefits of the project are the following.
This project will help to determine the reasons behind the increasing health issues of
the Australian overseas tourists (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention 2013).
Thus it will help the organization to mitigate those issues by assessing it.
The project will help healthcare professionals of the organization to understand and
determine why the majority of the overseas tourist are not interested in getting health
related advice on the overseas trip case (Angelin, Evengård & Palmgren 2014).
Further by determining the reasons it will help to generate the interest of the overseas
tourists in taking the advice of the health professionals.
Some preventive tactics can be taken to mitigate this type of health related issues
which can help the organization to increase its market value.
Research Questions:
The main research questions which has been identified are the:
1. What are the main causes for which the Australian travellers are being infected by various
type of overseas diseases?
2. Why it is very much essential to determine the reasons of the diseases and the problems
related to healthcare which are faced by the travellers?
3. What are the major diseases which is faced by the travellers?
4. What recommendations can be given to minimize the health related issues of the travellers?
5. What measures must be taken by the Sanofi Pasteur Australia to minimize the heath related
problems of the travellers?
