Completing the project within the budget and within the required time
frame are the main risks. In this project, the project manager also can
face communication risks through misconceptions. So, to avoid these
kinds of risks the project manager should ensure appropriate risk
management to avoid the possible risks. To avoid communication risks,
the project can use the hybrid communication process and face to face
communication processes also can be used.
The different number of risks associated with the exercise of research
includes lack of knowledge, non-supportive behavior of respondents,
ineffective application of tools, wrong interpretation of data etc. The
negative impact of risks will be ascertained in the form of
inappropriate results.
Resources Both human resource and material resources will be needed to
complete the project. Four researchers will be needed to successfully
complete the research. Resources like laptop, pen, paper, chair and
table are also required. For this research, the financial resource is set
at £1000.

P4 Carrying out small-scale research by applying qualitative and
quantitative research method
Research means systematic research and study of sources or resources or items in order to
identify the truth or draw conclusions. In reality, it is all about finding the truth using
scientific methods through experiment or analysis.
Primary Research
The research that is conducted directly by the researcher is mainly defined as primary
research. This kind of research is related to the collection of raw data and assessing the
perception of the people regarding the current situation (Lab, 2019). In this particular
project, primary research is essential as the data collected needs to be accurate and relative.
Secondary Research
Secondary research involves a review, a summary of existing research and/or synthesis. In
comparison to secondary research, primary research requires data collection while
secondary research utilizes primary sources of research as a source of information for the
study. For this research project, only the relevant data will be collected from trusted
secondary sources like a journal, books, and business report.
Research data
The purpose of conducting a research is to collect relevant data and through it reaching the
desired conclusion. The research data can be either quantitative or qualitative. The
quantitative data are the numerical data that are essential to compare different situations
based on the graphical illustration. On the contrary, qualitative data is related to
understanding perspectives, opinions and other non-measurable data from the participants.

Quantitative Research
Quantitative Research is characterized by means of quantifiable data obtained and
numerical, computing, or computational methods as a formal analysis of phenomena. In

general, quantitative consumer research uses a methodology based on surveys to obtain
input on the ideas and opinions of a community (Nielsen, 2011).
To ensure that reliable and valid findings are obtained, appropriate sample size is used. This
research method is essential for the creation of data table related to research. Collected
data — such as market size, population data and consumer preferences — provide
significant information for business decision-making.
For this research project, a survey questionnaire will be created through which the research
information will be gathered. The random sampling method is effective here as the aim of
the research is to understand the concept of equality and diversity in the workplace.
The qualitative research will help me in understand the importance of the equality and
diversity in the workplace for the employees.
The result of my findings can help the organizations to ensure equality in the organization
and also they will be able to understand better the employee’s necessities.
Qualitative Research
This is more about ' why ' than ' what ' of social phenomena and relies on the direct
experiences people experience as agents of meaning in their everyday lives. A purposeful
sample is a desirable sample based on the population characteristics and the purpose of the
analysis (QuestionPro, 2019). Purpose sampling is distinct from the sampling for
convenience and is also called judgmental, selective, or subjective. Interviews may be
described as a qualitative research technique that includes "intensive communication with a
small number of participants to discuss their views on a particular concept, programme, or
situation. The use of interview has the advantage of understanding the current perspectives
and objectives can be fulfilled.

Sampling process refers to the process of selecting a number of people from a larger
population with an aim to analyze their preference and characteristics. Sampling is essential
