INTRODUCTION
Digital technology supports maximum to an organisation in achieving its desired goals

time. Therefore, it play a vital role in growth and success of an organisation due to which it is
profitable to adopt by all organisations irrespective of the size whether small, media um or large.
The present assignment is based on Continental Consulting Limited which is engaged In
Business process re-engineering located in London. Its potential customers includes small and
medium manufacturing companies located in and around London and Greater London. The
project covers the aims and objectives of Continental Consulting Ltd. Regarding implementation
of digital technology. In addition with this, project management plan, breakdown structure, Gantt
chart, Small-scale research, tools and techniques used to analyse data are briefly discussed under
this report. Recommendation and Reflection upon undertakings are also made under this report.
TASK 1
P1 Project aim and objectives
Continental Consulting Ltd. is UK-based organisation which is engaged in supporting
small and medium manufacturing companies to re-engineering their business process so to
achieve high sustainability and profitability. It serves them in and around the London and
Greater London. The company was established eight years ago with procurement of latest
equipment, computer and IT facilitates but due to passage of time, rapid innovation in IT
industry makes their eight year ago equipments obsolete and outdated. For this purpose, the
management felt requirement of upgrading the use of IT technologies so as to make enhance the
capabilities of organisation and maintain their competitiveness among their rivals. The present
project is based on such up-gradation of IT technology that will be helpful for Continental
Consulting Ltd. To achieve desired goals and objectives within pre-determined time period
(Adzic, 2011).

As per the current scenario of Continental Consulting Ltd., it is requirement of implement
digital technology with the taking support of its employees. The CEO of Continental Consulting
Ltd. decide to invest money to bring innovation in their business process so as to compete with
rivals in more effective and efficient manner.
Aim: “Impact of mobile technology as digital technology to support small business in
achieving growth and innovation-A case study on Continental Consulting Ltd.”.
The primary goal of the examination report is to identify the effectiveness of
implementation of mobile technology in business process of small and medium sized
organisation such as Continental Consulting Ltd. to achieve its desired goals and objectives.

easy for management to identify important aspects at the time of execution of project while
overviewing the project management plan. Some other aspects included in such formal document
are Scope, Cost, Time, Quality, Risk etc. which are briefly described under the below:
Scope: Implementation of digital technology always brings maximum profitable result to
company in terms of enhancing efficiency level of employees, maximising satisfaction level of

cannot be possible. Therefore, it is more important for company to maintain appropriate amount
of funds which can be possible either through taking support from investors or reserve funds. For
this purpose, the management should prepare budget in which cost must be allocated on the
activities on the basis of their impact (Davies and Hughes, 2014). For example, incurring cost on
providing training and development programs increases the capabilities of employees to

identifying their impact on their business performance. It happens through receiving standard
quality of work by the employees which can be possible through providing them training and
learning programs to make them more capable to work on using mobile technology.
Risk: It always exist in all business activities which can hinder management to achieve its
desired outcomes within pre-determined time period. Such risk may include poor knowledge,
lack of an appropriate support of employees, insufficient resources etc. Implementation of
mobile technology involves huge risk which can be tackled by the management of Continental
Consulting Ltd. through conducting research about the aspects that causes risk in advance. It
enable management to make suitable plans and strategies in advance so as to deal with future

Communication: Mutual support received by employees can be possible only when the
