1.1 Rationale of the business opportunity
Automotive industry is enclosed with many business opportunities for the new
entrepreneurs. The auto parts sector is very huge and accounts for high level production of global
manufacturing industry. There are more than 3000 firms involved in the UK automotive sector. It
has a very strong design and technical base in respect to automobile parts. Several multinational
brands had also established their research and development base in UK. The manufacturing of
auto vehicles is increasing day by day. The people are showing greater interest in buying the
cars. In the recent years the demand for automotive and repair services had increased
significantly. It is because buying and selling of cars has also enhanced. Consumers prefer to
change or repair their automobile parts at constant intervals. It is also essential for long term
sustainability of the vehicles.
Taking that into consideration, a business development proposal has been set up. It is
about opening a business of selling automobile parts for the different consumers in UK. The
business is positioned in East of England. It will sell different kinds of parts such as suspensions,

can achieve its aim and objectives in effective manner.
1.2 Scenario chosen for this topic
At the time of my training period, I have always found the automobile industry
fascinating. I carried a passion especially for the cars. I was attracted by the designs and
manufacturing. This interest has inspired me to take an entrepreneurial opportunity within this
sector. Further it has been noticed that volume of profits and return is quite adequate. However
the level of competition is very high as there is presence of many reputed auto parts
manufacturer. Taking this opportunity as a challenge, it is important to make the right decision. It
is expected that the proposed business development proposal will achieve its stated objectives.
1.3 Approach taken to design and structure the report
Experimental approach has been adopted in order to design and structure the report. The
new business is proposed with the intention that how it will function in the future years. With the
help of this study it will be identified that how “Delphi Designs” can create value for the
customers. It will be identified how it can produce the sustainable net cash flow and profit.
