REFLECTION
It is part of report that helps in reflecting on my existing skill and capabilities or
knowledge related to particular field. This reflection is generally prepared with an purpose that
students critically reflect on things that they have learned during their MBA course and while
making the project. MBA is generally stand for business administration so through this course I
am able to gathered information pertaining to the way an enterprise can be started and operated
so that end objectives can be achieved in limited time frame. Likewise, there are lot many things
which I have learnt in MBA program which is crucial for my growth and success like it has
contributed in development of leadership and emotional intelligence skills (Chang, 2019). Such
as I have gained knowledge related to the way new business idea is developed, individuals with
diverse range of believe, skills and values are coordinated to work as team for achievement of
business goals. I have developed the way to communicate with other individuals so that it can
easily understand the same in better manner.
Furthermore, there are numerous things which I have learn during conducting research
related to the project of developing a new business idea that can be successful in Malta. Through
the project I am able to gained knowledge that lot of research regarding external environment
trends needs to done in order to decided particular strategies or starting a business that can
contribute in earning maximum return. For pursuing the project, I have analysis existing market
condition of Malta which helps me understanding that starting a new restaurant business that
provide local cuisine, organic and more health products will be more fruitful in attracting diverse
range of people in limited timeframe for maximum outcome. Through the research I get to that
there are two methods through which data can be collected that is primary and secondary.
Primary is an method in which interview of respondents is taken in order to know about their
respective points of view (Lousberg and et.al., 2020). On contrary note, secondary data
collection involves use of books and articles or journals to collect data related to particular topic
so that necessary information can be derived. The project helps me in knowing my one of the
strength that is better command on digital technology which helps in collecting data in limited
timeframe from different sources.
I have tried or emphasised on collecting data from more reliable, accurate sources so that
correct information can be collected and interest individuals can easily trust the same. Online
sources have also been used to complete the dissertation or conduct business research. Citation

has been made in the project wherever required which reflect the authenticity of
information gathered through wide range of sources. Good research skills and better command
on digital command has helped in collecting necessary information and development of business
proposal to establish a restaurant that have local cuisine or organic food range.
Likewise for the project, I have selected both qualitative and quantitative method to
pursue the study or research related to topic as theories; framework and model are used along
with statistic and numerical value. In terms of expected growth rates, actual sales volume of
company in near future and break even points analysis so through use of both method
appropriate data is gathered and analysis for final outcome. The study is also made feasible so
that it can be changed at any point of time or numerous factors like technical, legal and economic
are considered while completing the study (Moffett and Weare Jr, 2020). Moreover, critical
evaluation has been made in respect of starting a new restaurant business in UK that will help in
earning more profit or not. From my perspective, there are certain limitation in context of
completing the study that is limited availability of time and financial resources. But I have tried
to make best use of provided time as well as financial resources in order to gather maximum
information related to development of business proposal or dissertation.
In addition to all of the statement, the research has also helped in development of critical
thinking skills or new, innovative ideas to complete specific project. Such as in order to
developed new business proposal I have to find innovative idea that could attract maximum
number of individuals and helps in generating more outcome. Through this research I have tried
to critical think on areas to developed new and better strategies that could be helpful in inducing
more and more customers in the organisation. I have also used this skills in order to represent the
gathered information so that interest people can easily understand and interpretate the same in
minimum time possible.
The most important thing that I have learned while undertaking MBA programme is the
way who large or any small enterprise is managed so that it end objectives can be achieved. I
have learn about management styles that could be used to handle range of people, why it is
essential to work in team for achievement of common goals. I have gained much knowledge
related to the way physical and human resources can be integrated so that an business can be run
smoothly in external environment’s (Bastiaens, van Merriënboer and van Tilburg, 2017). While
through research I have get information related to one of the growing industry that is hospitality

and tourism so the way launch of local cuisine and organic food range will helps in meeting
customers’ requirements. The skills that has enhanced through research is analytical as I am able
to effectively analysis the situation, summarised key finding which could be helpful in taking
right decision for betterment of all. Furthermore, I have also apply the knowledge and thing
learnt in major project such as academic writing that is the way information needs to be
presented, clear structure with minimum grammatical errors. I have also applied by knowledge
related to digital skills in gathering data from online sites that has lead in making research better.
In the competition of this project I faced many issues. The major challenge I face in
approaching sources. As every project require information that can allow the researcher to reach
at the final objectives set behind the project. I did not have proper sources that I could consume
which improved my challenge to achieve the overall target set behind the project. I also had lack
of experience in doing these type of studios. This further improved the challenge of delivering
my responsibilities. It is significant for me to reach at the final objective set behind the project
with support of right strategy and technique. Due to unavailability of experience in doing this
type of studios I could face problems in formulating strategies and approaches to reach at the
desired objectives set behind the study. Lack of experience can become a cause to reach a failure
or face failure in any project.
I also challenged at a financial level. This is further a huge challenge that I could face in
this project. Financial resources are the sole requirements and the basic need associated with
every project conduct. The resources support in generation and collecting different resources like
stationary and other such resources. I had a lack in financial resources that could not allow me to
give more suitable sources of information for achieving the objectives in the best way possible.
Financial resources are the basic need behind conducting every single project. The financial
resources shortage could not allow me to implement all my plans when it comes to collecting
data under primary study. This will further restricted the overall outcomes against the research
study conducted.
I also faced challenges related to communication. This is among the major challenge that
I faced in the completion of this project. Communication becomes the tool behind delivering any
such project. In order to complete the respective project you need to communicate with different
stakeholders and information providers. In such a process you require to have strong and
influence communication ability. This weak area in my personality could lead to multiple

challenges and issues related to the information collection, taking guidance from experts and
professionals and different other aspects. It is important to improve the communication skill so
that in future every time I will get any opportunity to deliver this type of project I can give my
more than required ability to achieve the objectives set behind the project conducted.
I also faced challenges associated with the critical mindset. In every project it is
necessary to analysis the situation critically. This make the project more valuable to assess the
information collected in the critical manner (Willett and Richards, 2020). As a professional when
it comes to analysing the data and information collected under the data collection section this is
important to use the critical mindset and thinking to assesses and analysis the entire project and
the information generated. This make project more worth to study and allow to draft better
conclusion against the research study has conducted as a professional. The lack of critical
thinking skill I faced challenge in analysing and interpreting information in the right manner.
This could further harm the quality of data analysis chapter of the research. Yes in the end I
could achieve and meet up all the objectives in the best way possible but if the analytical skills
would have been much better than I could have been able to reach the overall outcomes of this
project in the best way possible.
I also face challenge regarding structuring of the project. This is one of the major
challenge I could face as a professional. This is important for me to deliver the project in the
right structure. Lack of experience could not guide me to draft a proper structure against the
research study has conducted. His has further created issues at the initial level. In the beginning
or the start of this project it take me more time and extra effort to structure the entire report
(Markauskaite, Goodyear and Sutherland, 2020). If I already knew about this and had a proper
knowledge and understanding regarding the structure of report I would have delivered more
quality against the project conducted. All this could improve my hustle as a professional to
deliver the final project and submit it on time. In context to every project time is very crucial
factor or element that influence the quality of the whole study.
Formulation of graph against the information collected is also a part of this study. I faced
challenges in forming graph against the information collected. This is a major challenge that I
could face at the time of interpreting the whole information. This makes it more difficult to
present the information in more logical and structural manner. This is important as a professional
to structure the entire information in the best way possible. As I was not aware about how the

information is summarised in graphs and pie chart this created more challenge for more to
project the information in the most presentable manner.
I also faced challenge regarding time and work management. Both the factor is crucial
and significant as an individual when it comes to deliver the whole project. As a professional I
faced issues regarding managing my time and whole work. As this research is so long that
require proper management of time and work so that entire project could have been completed
timely manner. As I am poor at managing my time and work this could cost to more time in
submitting the whole project and also extra cost to deliver the whole project.
