Basic nature of the team:
The team will generally comprise of ten to twelve members, specifically of the
younger generation who are very well rehearsed with the social media platform and are quite
aware of the algorithm and social media analytics. The members would be subdivided and
allotted to maintain different social media platforms ranging from Facebook, twitter,
YouTube, Instagram and their official website.
Team’s vision, mission and Goals:
In the current global business scenario, the company has realised the importance of
having a social media presence and how people are incorporating in their daily lifestyle. In
such a scenario the team members will be extensively engaged in the digital marketing which
will create a virtual online store for the customers to view what the company has to offer. The
official website would be linked with all the platforms to showcase the places of travel, the
reviews and ratings of the customers as well as a separate section for handing complaints and
queries of the customers. This is commonly known as tourism marketing which is
significantly gaining prominence. The team will particularly look after cross-media platform
interaction for the company
Leadership style to be followed:
Since a team of young professionals is being created with a view of starting
something which the company has never ventured in, hence the leadership style also demands
to be relaxing, motivating and engaging. Hence the suitable leadership style identified is
Democratic or Participative Leadership style. The main reason behind this form of leadership
is every new project requires the flexibility of incorporating new ideas. Hence leaders play a
major role in encouraging the new team members to share their opinion, make judicious

choices and evoke team spirit. This will automatically help the new team members feel that
they are a significant addition to the man power and altogether help in increasing the job
satisfaction.
Methods for increasing group cohesion:
The best method for enhancing group cohesion is to look for diversity. Every member
of the team will have certain sets of skills which will set them apart from the other. Hence
identifying those skills and building upon them is necessary. For instance if one team
member is an excellent communicator then he/she would be in charge of handing online
communication with the customers, assessing feedbacks, answering their queries and
mitigating their grievances. While on the other hand another team member might be excellent
in graphic designing, hence he/she can be assigned with the task of designing attractive
digital posters, graphics for making the website look attractive.
Strategies for managing conflict:
Working with a new team might turn challenging at times. As all the members are
new to the organisation as well as to the project it might take a little longer to adjust to the
whole scenario. Hence the best way to minimise the chances of conflict is by communication
regularly and efficiently. The manager is expected to keep a healthy and unbiased
communication system between the new employees and the existing ones along with effect
feedback system from the managers for the new team members and from the new team
members to the managers. This multi-dimensional communication approach will help the
team communicate and understand the goals, target and expectation of the organisation and
how they can provide their fair share of experience in enhancing the whole system. Most
