INTRODUCTION
Business psychology can be describe as the study or different practices that are significant
for improving working life. It is essential for organisation to consider different business
psychology as it is useful for increasing performance of employees as well as developing
potential. Personal development is very important part of an individual as it assists in increasing
capabilities and performance to successfully conduct task (Roetzel, 2019). There are number of
skills that are required by individual to conduct business task in more effective and efficient
manner. It is essential for individual to focus on developing different skills which are lacking and
try to increase those skills in order to increase overall performance and capabilities.
Development of skill is beneficial for personal as well as professional growth that lead to attain
set goals of action is right time frame. There are different psychological approaches which are
helpful in gaining better understanding of information about self as well as other individual that
are working with in the company. It is important to consider different psychological approaches
as it is significant for identifying self potential and capabilities which is significant for increasing
skills and ability to conduct required business task in correct manner as well as improve potential
to attain objectives.
Behavioural approach – This psychological approach is significant for determining and
analysing the behaviour of a person. Behavioural approach can be describe as the
approach which majorly emphasize on the action of a person. It has been analysed that
the behaviour of a person play crucial role in learning activities of person and impact on
capability to enhance new and different skills. The behaviour of a person has different
impact on different situations. This psychological approach focuses on different factors
how environment and other external stimuli affect the mental state of a person. This will
lead to have affect over the development of different factors specifically to training an
individual to conduct task in required manner.
Cognitive approach This approach can be describe as the modern approach to the
behaviour of human which is significantly focus on the thinking of a person. Cognitive
approach includes stimulus which is external factor and the effect of stimulus lead to
create the response of human (Schultz and Schultz, 2020). This psychological approach
of cognitive includes process of information which in inside people’s mind, attention,

memory, thinking perception and so on. All of the factor will lead to have impact over the
behaviour and response of a person to conduct task in required manner.
Subjective approach – This approach focus on the unique thoughts, ides, feeling as well
as experience of individual. Subjective approach of psychology majorly consider
personal perspective of a person that will includes the feeling and opinion in decision
making process (Strike, Michel and Kammerlander, 2018). In this approach more
importance is given to the personal value and thinking of a person in their growth and
develop. As per this approach it has been determined that subjective aspects of person
that consist of their own feeling, experiences of life and ideas will affect the way they
think and behaviour in the organisation. This will also have influence over the way in
which a person in carry out required set of actions.

Time management is the core skill that needs to be developed as it is very important skill for
timely completion of the required set of task. This refer as the process of organizing and
planning regarding all task and activities which needs to be performed by perform in specific
time frame (Wasylyshyn, 2015). This is one of the important skill which I should develop in
order to carry out business operations in more successfully manner.
Why did I select this skill to reflect on? Why is this core skill important for your
development (personal and professional)?
I have analysed that time management skill is very important and its will lead increase the
capability and potential of a person to successfully complete activities on time. There are
various importance of time management skill which will reflect on my work and
organisational performance. By development of time management skill I will be able to
complete my office task on time and take participate in other activities. Through this I will be
able to conduct more task in comparatively less time. This will assist in enhancing my
productivity as well as performance. For example increase in time management skill I will
never be late in completing the organisational activity on time. Through this I will always be
on time to attend meeting and use my full potential.

As per the feedback given by my co worker I have analysed that time management skills are
lacking. Due to this I am not able to correctly conducting business task as well as unable to
finish requires set of activities in desired time. I have determined that due to lack of time
management skills my productivity is not up to the mark. Due to this, I was late on important
meeting and not able to get correct information regarding business activities. some of my co
worker has suggested me to enhance time management skills so that I can finish important or
urgent task of time as well as meet with the business standards. My manager has also
suggested me to improve time management skills as it will assist in conducting more task in
less time frame as well as successfully accomplish desired objective. Currently I am not able
to determine which task needs to be completed first and priorities task as per its importance
and urgency.

There is no contradiction in the above analysis and there is match between the feedback given
by co worker and how I see myself. I have also identified issues and problem in my

have been analysed that due to lack of time management skill my performance is slow and I
am to able to meet with desired timeline. I have determined that because of lacking of this
core issues I am not able to complete organisational task on time which lead to have direct
impact on my work life balance.
How might this skill help me in the future?
Development of this skills will be very supportive in future as well as assist me to
successfully complete organisational task on time. This will help me in both personally or
professionally and I will be able to successfully manage work life balance. Time management
skill will lead to increase my potential and capability to timely finish task and meet deadline

I needs to develop researching and information finding skills. I have analysed that I m lacking
in this skill which will lead to have direct impact on quality of my work performance.
Researching and information can be describe as the capability and potential of an individual
in which assist in finding correct information to resolve the issue (Lefkowitz, 2017). This
consists of data collection, report writing, gathering information for internet and other
sources.

I have selected this skills as I consider that this is very important skill for me in order to
increase my performance. Researcher and information collection skill is significant for both
personal and professional. In my organisational job role I have to develop a report that will
includes information about the different aspects of business. For creating this report I have to
collect and gather information for different sources so that better decision could be taken.

My senior person has given me feedback that my skills of researching skills and gather
information are very weak. This lead to have impact on the report that I have developed. I am
not able to study the topic correctly and gain information which is significant as per the
requirement of topic. Due to lack of research skill I am not able to find the correct
information which is need and unable to develop an effective and efficient report. I have
communicated with my co worker to analyse the lack of this skill and its impact on my overall
performance. My co worker has informed me that I am not analysing different sources
through which data can be collected.

There are some contradiction form the above analysis as I am considering different sources to
collected and gather information in order to find the relevant data. I have determined that
there are some times in which I have not understood the topic and requirement before
developing the report. Due to this I was not able to collect and gather required set of
information for developing report. I have analysed that major reason for lacking of research
and information collection skill is that I am not critically analysing the collected data before
mentioning it in the report.

Research skill is considered as one of the essential skill which is required by individual to
gather and assemble different information as well as taking better decision. It is very
important to enhance this skill as it will assist in collecting and analysing information from
different sources and writing better report. By developing this skills I will be able to

skills I am not able to use right word for representing ides and it is very difficult for receiver
to correctly understand the meaning that is written.

Development of written communication skill is very important for my future growth and
development. I have analysed that by developing written communication will help me in

ACTION PLAN
It is very important for a person to develop and create an proper action that which is
significant for developing different skills which are lacking in a person (Wolniak and Grebski,

2018). This will help in analysing the development area as well as determining ways which will
assist in increasing those skills which are lacking. I have identified that there are some skills
which help me in conducting task or activity in more effective manner and it can be consider as
my major strength. Whereas there are some skills which are will negatively impact over my
performance. I need to develop an effective action plan which will demonstrate the development
need and improvement in my performance. Action plan is mention below –
Setting goals – The goal of developing this action plan is the increase different skills
which are lacking (Islam, 2020). Successful execution of this action plan will assist in
enhancing performance and capabilities so that task can be performed in correct and
accurate manner.
Determining strength – In this step of action plan different strength will be determined
that are significant for increasing performance and capabilities. I have identified that
there are some skills which assist me to successfully conduct task. Team working skills,
negotiation skills, problem solving and conflict resolution skill are my strength.
Analysing weakness Once the strength has been determined I need to analyse my
weakness which hamper my overall performance and productivity. My major weakness
are time management skills, researching and information finding capabilities as well as
written communication. Lack of these skill will affect my capabilities and successfully
accomplishment of desired goals of action.
Development method – It is crucial to identify different methods and approaches which
are helpful in developing skills which are lacking. In order to increase time management
skill I need to take support from my senior person who can guide me to priorities
important and urgent task so that all activities can be completed in desired frame of time.
For enhance research skill I have to consider short term online course. This course will
help me in determining different ways to collect and gather information. Through this
method I will be able to analyse which is correct way of researching data so that correct
information can be gather according to the topic requirement. In order to increase written
communication skills I have to read more books so that my vocabulary will be increased
and I can frame correct sentence. Reading more and more books will be effective method
for developing written communication skills.

be executed and it will have direct impact on overall performance.
