Business study is considered as the learning of management done by an individual in
order to maintain collective productivity in future activities. Thus, it can be said that business
study helps in attaining goals and objectives in a speculated time frame (Sharma, Chrisman and
Chua, 2012). A hypothetical situation is created and according to that Moose Burger is a burger
joint in Arncliffe in Sydney and it is being run by Mustafa Kantalos. Mustafa is trying to expand
its business so as a business consultant a business report will be developed so that better
outcomes can be evaluated. Furthermore, this report will include nature of business and what
kind of business structure they are following. Along with this, internal and external factors that
can influence business is mentioned in this assignment. In addition to this, responsibilities of
external and internal stakeholders along with their responsibilities is involved. Lastly, on the
basis of this evaluation of actual and hypothetical business situations will be done.
P1 Nature of business, its role in the society and types of business structure
According to the business environment, nature of business can be understood as an
organised efforts of a company through which they can get profits and give better services and
facilities to its customers. Nature of business can differ as per the sizes for instance: small may
have different perspective of running a business, medium and large respectively. Most of the
company work with the purpose of providing excellent services and gaining more and more
benefits from the same. As per the given business situation Mosse Burgers comes under sole
proprietorship and running the business without any kind of support. There might be a
possibility that sole proprietorship hire additional help for doing their business. They enjoy
ultimate liability including all the obligations that can be faced by them. Therefore, whatever
profits or losses are gained, owner is fully responsible for that and he/she had to face
consequences for the same (Hassett and Paavilainen-Mäntymäki, 2013).
Basics purpose of a company is to supply goods and services to its customers so that firm
can have profits. In terms of their role in the society they are providing with job opportunities to
people who are living in the respective areas. Therefore, it can be said that Moose Burger is
operating its business on three pillars of society i.e. economic development, social development

Although, Moose Burgers is considering all the factors but they are facing difficulties
because of types of business structure company is following. Moose Burger has adopted Steep
hierarchical structure in this orders are given and received but there is no interaction between
superiors and employees. This can be analysed from the statements given by staff members that
as per the current working environment management of the company is not listening or
considering the opinion of staff members and for operating their businesses employees are not
provided with better equipments and resources.

Internal and external factors both plays a crucial role in influencing the business in a
positive and negative manner. So, it is crucial that company put attention to these factors so that
effective outcomes can be taken so as to have better results. Basically, there are some of the
elements that can be included in external such as economy: if a country has bad economy
because of which firm has limited finance than they cannot survive in the market area there
might be a possibility that company looses its customers which can make a big question mark in
the reputation. As according to the given scenario, Moose Burger wants to expand its business in
different areas but as firm is not being able to give better services their legal structure is not
providing option of enchaining its business. Another factor which can be included in this is
competition: with the change in course of time, many companies are arising with their new and
innovative products and this is increasing he level of competition between them (Cavusgil and
Knight, 2015). According to the case study and in relation with, Moose Burger, because of the
rapid increase in the access of internet and active participation of firms like Uber eats, Deliveroo
etc., Mustafa's stores are facing with loss of sales because there have been instances like
customers are preferring buying goods from online instead of going to outlets.
If talking about Internal factors there are some elements which can put an impact on the
business operations such as Staff: they are one of the crucial aspects in an organisation because
firm's sales and profitability depends on them and how they accomplish any activity. But at the
same time it is important that company have effective work force. According to the business
situation provided employees of Moose Burger were suitable for the job but they were not

getting equipments and resources needed for performing the activities. Company's Culture:
Employees prefer to work in a company where the working environment is appropriate and
workers get a change of grabbing opportunities. In relation with the Mustafa's Store they have a
negative company's culture because most of the decision are not favoured by employees. With
respect to this, opinions of staffs are not also considered due to which roles and responsibilities
are imposed on workers because of which workers feels pressurized (Beamish, 2013).
Therefore, in order to gain positive outcomes it is important that Moose Burger maintains
a balance between both internal and external factors which can have an impact on business
operations. Company can adopt strategies and action plan that can help them from overcoming
with difficult situations.

Company can run its business when certain factors are taken care of properly according
to the current market scenario. While running a business there are many responsibilities that are
to be performed. Organisation has some or the other kind of roles and responsibilities towards
internal as well as external stakeholders. For instance: in relation with Moose Burger, it is crucial
for them to work according to the stakeholders because they are the one who increase the sales
and profitability of the company. Work of an organisation towards internal stakeholders like
firm can provide shares at a reasonable cost so that who are intend to purchase the same can buy

employees problem: not considering the viewpoints of employees, insufficient resources etc.,
therefore, to overcome with these problem manager of Moose burger can plan and than conduct
investigation in order to identify the roots or reason of the problem. For instance: Mustafa's store,
in order to get appropriate tools and technologies and other resources they can change their
suppliers & distributors so as to get well equipments.
In addition to this, owner of the company can have sessions where employees and staff
members can present their thoughts related to the issues they are facing so that better solutions
can be identified and applied as well. Apart from this, from the case scenario it has also been
evaluated that company is operating its business in a traditional way which is acting as a barrier

burger can adopt new form of business and they can use internet as their major source of

Henceforth, after making certain changes in legal structure as well as other aspects
company can move out of the business issues and they can focus much on implementing new
activities and expanding business as well. Along with this, for uncertainty about the future, with
the help of present data and information firm can develop strategies issues can be eliminated and
better growth can be attained.
P8 Evaluation of information for actual and hypothetical business situations
Running a business is not an easy task there are many activities that are to be undertaken
in order to operate business in an effective manner. There is a requirement of making proper
plans so that it can be executed in a better way. There may be some situations because of which a
company can faces losses. In order to know situations and circumstances, company can take
feedbacks and reviews from customers and employees who are working as it will assist them in
regulating the activities in an effective manner without any complications. For example:
according to the given case situation Mosse Burger is facing a lot of problem in their businesses
as they are not providing tools and resources that are required for doing the business. Other than
this, managers are not so supportive because they are taking feedbacks from their workers but
not implementing the same (Restaurants failing to attract customers, 2019). Unlike this, there
was an actual case as well with a company named “IHOP Restaurant”, this, because of its failure,
they changed the name of the restaurant to “IHOB” but this didn't worked. There was many
reasons of shutting their business but the prime reason was that, company was not being able to
attract large number of customers towards them. Therefore, firm was going through the same
situation which “Mosse Burger” was going.
“IHOP” made many changes in their strategies they adopted latest tools and technologies
provided all the resources that are needed by the staff members so as to provide better services to
its customers. Apart from this, firm expand beyond breakfast and offered burgers as well but it
doesn't helped them much. Lastly, company decided to shut their around 30-40 locations.

Henceforth, to overcome with all the situations it is important that firm come up with
serious plans and strategies. Company can think of complete make over as they can take a
chance of implementing new things like registering themselves in different websites from where
customers can order stuffs and food online. Other than this, in some places firms can collaborate
with other company who are doing well. As a result, it will aid firm in getting out of the difficult
situations.
CONCLUSION
From the above report it has been evaluated that there are numerous factors which must
be considered for running business in an effective manner. These can have both positive as well
as negative impact. For instance: from this assignment, it has been evaluated that types of
business structure plays a crucial role within the organisation as this can aid firm in having
proper conduction of various activities in a systematic manner. Other than this, company must
also think about internal as well as external factors like providing better services and facilities to
customers so as to sustain their loyalty for longer period of time. In addition to this, firm can
change the legal structure and undertake all the perspectives of employees. This will ultimately
improves the performance of the firm in a speculated period of time. To overcome with the
situations if better planning and conduction of activities is done than it can give positive results
in return. For instance: managers of the company can first evaluate the issues because of which
firm is facing problem as a result, it will give a better solution for the problem.
