Executive Summary
Little Stars is a childcare organization based in Brisbane that offers pre-school
facilities. It has about 90-100 children in each of its five facilities of which it has a total of
120 staffs in all the five facilities , the stakeholders are the CEO, Branch manager,
Operations manager, administrator, teachers and also parents.
There has been major complains from staffs about the operations under which the
organization is run, these complaints deal with the system in which both customers and staffs
are being asked to perform. The problems are keenly addressed and analyzed to provide a
solution to help in running and management of Little Stars childcare organization to ensure
outmost outcome.

Introduction
The main purpose of this report is to determine the most viable solutions approaches
to meet the needs of Little Stars pre-school in details in order to come up with a solution
scope and be able to prepare the business case, assess the benefits, the possible costs, the
risks and the risk management of the solution and assess the readiness of the organization to
implement the solutions stated to ensure maximum output of the school.

To remain competeitive in the fast growing industry, little star school need to address
and find viable solutions to the problems addressed that are currently facing the school.

The solution approach will describe the overall approach that will be taken to create
and acquire new opportunities that will be needed to meet the needs of Little Stars pre-school.
It is important to identify means by which solutions will be delivered and assess whether the
organization has the means and capability of implementing and using the solutions to develop
and nature itself.

According to the problems laid down in Little Stars organizational structure, it was
established that service details are not adequately compiled. Services such as cleaning of the
school, teacher’s duties, transportation of children and consultation are not well compiled
hence causing confusion and miscommunication amongst service providers

This can be managed by making organizational changes to ensure that all service details are
well compiled, can be traced and accessible to all stakeholders.
The staffs
When this is taken into accord, it will ensure a good reputation for the school,
efficiency and accountability and more input since all data will be efficiently managed and
the responsible groups will be responsible.
The possible risks with this solution may include resistance from the service providers
and it may also take a longer time to be effectively used within the school.
The fact that data management is a major problem in the school and the number of
available service providers do not match the duties ( there are 120 staffs in all the fie
facilities) that means that each facility has 24 staffs of which are not enough to provide all the
services. The school should employ more staffs to match the duties.
Reduce the decision making process
Another problem addressed was that the decision making process was slow. The fact
that there are many communication gaps in the organization, causes a slow decision making
process hence it takes a long time to reach the highest hierarchy and back. This setback can
cause inefficiency in the organization for instance when a problem requires haste decision it
could ruin the organization reputation hence loosing clients. This can be managed by
reducing communication gaps and decision making process. The shorter the process the
quicker the decision is made.
Slow decision making increases organizational costs , threatens performance and may result
to failure in the school. On the other hand quick decisions lead to quicker results and greater

upmaking wrong decision since they were not clearly analyzed before being made. This may
bring about risks such as not being happy with the outcome, overspending etc.
The fact that the school does not have such a complicated hierarchy, the decision
making process will not be complicated. The communication gaps in the school can easily be
managed.
Adding resources to the school
More resources need to be added in the school facilities. Resources such as new
software that will enable accounting for new and existing children this will help manage and
track children in the facilities. School fees payment, such software will help keep records of
paid school fees, unpaid and balances to avoid financial unaccountability. It will also record
teachers leave days and leave applications of the same.
The benefits that will be created by adding new resources in the school will be accountability,
organization in the school and proper communication within the school.
Costs will be incurred to cater for the installation of these software. The staffs will also need
to be educated on the use of the new software and hence may face resistance from the staffs.
Partnering with other organizations
The school should look for partners who will be able to provide whatever they cannot
acquire in the school. For instance, they should partner with professional schools where their
