1BUSINESS REQUIREMENTS ANALYSIS
Introduction
JenJin Translations is an interpretation and translation service provider based in Vitoria
Australia. Their services are provided by NAATI Accreditation which includes Korean,
Mandarin, Italian, Hindi, Russian and Greek. The company employees about 20 translators
and interpreters half of them are full time and the rest half part time. The aim of the study is
to undertake an approach through which the requirements of the user for the business can be
analyzed through which the business can promote a better strategy to understand and address
users requirements in its services (Lückenbach et al., 2016)
Discussion
Proposed technology system for JenJin Translations
Customer Relationship Management Software is a technology that can be used to develop a
positive interaction with the customers and collect as well as analyses data on customer’s
history with the business as an approach to improve the relation with customers. This allows
better customer retention and improves sales for the business. Customer relationship
management software’s can provide a centralized platform through which the requirements of
the customers can be mapped to existing resources of the business and thereby address
customers’ expectation. JenJin Translations is in the need for a centralized platform that will
allow the customers to view the translation services and translators available and thereby
book their services accordingly to prevent disruptions and ensure clarity within the
operations. Considering the significant increase in the workforce this technology is
recommended for the business (Fleisher and Bensoussan 2015).

2BUSINESS REQUIREMENTS ANALYSIS
Private businesses: private businesses stand alone commercial entities that might
require translations services based upon their operational coverage and geographical
locations.
Individual clients: individual clients can include end users and sole proprietors who
might require translation services for various personal and professional purposes and
can approach the company for translation services independently.
Government organizations: the government organizations can include various sectors
from within the government who might need translation service as a part of its
ongoing processes and can approach the company through formal tender.
(Flowerdew 2018)
Two approaches to collect and elicit their requirements
Collection and elicitation of the requirements is one the most important factors through which
an organization can understand and address client requirement and provide more personalized
as well as appropriate services. two approaches that can be used for the collection and
elicitation of client requirements are:
Survey: A survey on customer’s needs and expectation can be done by integrating it
with the Customer Relationship management Application and understand the needs of
the target market.
Document analysis: Analysis of the documents and information shared by the clients
can also provide vital insight into their needs and expectation and address them more
appropriately.
(Serafini et al. 2015)

Application of each of these approaches to elicit user requirements for the proposed
system
The approach of using surveys can be integrating with CRM application through which
customers can provide their feedback on key aspects regarding their needs and expectations
on translation services. Document analysis can be used to analyses the requirement and
agreement files or contracts of the client (s) and thereby identify key points that needs to be
met by the translation services offer by JenJin Translations (Cullen 2017)
Potential benefits and issues that may be faced as a business analyst when using each
elicitation approach and how to overcome them
The survey approach can allow the company to collect data and identify important patterns in
term target market I terms of their needs and expectations. However, this approach can be
time consuming as well as provide biased opinion and understanding as it represents only the
needs and expectations of the respondents. This can be overcome by developing an
appropriate sampling strategy for the target market and cover majority of the marker view.
The approach of document analysis can provide a thorough understanding of the expectation
of each client and therefore develop a more appropriate translation service. However the data
from such documents can become obsolete very facts and cannot be used consistently as the
changing demands are not adequately represented in such documents. To overcome this
analysis of documents should be made independently for each contract thereby updating the
information (Flowerdew 2018).

4BUSINESS REQUIREMENTS ANALYSIS
From the above two approaches, the most appropriate approach that can be integrated with
the CRM applications can provide not only a faster understanding of the market patterns but
also develop an understanding of the overall customer preferences through the data collected
from the surveys (Lückenbach et al. 2016).
