1. The DVL Smith provides its customers with Insight consultancy about the market. The
DVL Smith also runs various skills development programs around the globe. There are various
tools used by this market research firm in order to gain the trust of the customers. The first tool is
quality and quantity. The organizations provide quality services and provide the service to a
large quantity of organization in an efficient manner. The next tool is providing an experienced
analysis. The organization provides the experience that the product faced earlier. The last toll
that can be included is the energy that is how the insights can be used to add value to business.
The next organization that will be discussed is the Digital MR. This organization uses the
concept of artificial intelligence (Nilsson, 2014). The organization uses the tool of social media
in order to reach its customers. In the modern age, the social media is a strong tool used by
almost all the people around the globe. The Digital MR uses the tool to provide the feedback
about the various products of the companies to its customers. The big data analytics tool has also
been used in an application called the listening 247, which provides the insights about the market
position of the various organizations.
2. The DVL Smith presents the advantages of not only getting the insights of the different
products and the various organizations but also provides enough solutions of how to implement
these insights to have competitive advantage in the market (DVL Smith, 2018). The organization
presents the advantage of providing the details of the research of wide range of products.
The Digital MR organization helps in identifying and comparing a large number of
products and presents with the pros and cons of investing in a particular product. Since the big
data concept is used by the organization, it can store the information of a large number of
organizations. As a result, the customer can get the idea of market share of a number of products.

certain type of product can also be identified. The organization with the help of automation can

3. A particular company might not want to invest in Digital MR Organization. Rather the
company would save the money and use it’s in house in order to carry out the research. The
primary reason may be that Digital MR is a lot dependant on the use of automation for carrying
out the research (DigitalMR, 2018). The company might want to see in person if the analysis
provided is accurate or not. The data may not have been updated recently. If the in house team
carries out the research by visiting the places in person then the exact scenario can be
understood. Moreover, the analysis that has been provided might be wrong, as it is possible that
the owner of a particular product has paid to hide the negative side of the products. The well
renowned brands are mostly covered in t he research. It might also be possible that some other
company is providing the same product at a much lesser price but since the company is not well
renowned, no research has been carried out.
4. The various tools have been used by the two organizations mentioned in this essay. The
tools such as strategic information system, artificial intelligence and big data can be implemented
by the various organizations in order to perform a research of its own. For many of the
companies, which handles large projects it, may not be feasible to go in person to check the
condition of the products in the market. Thus, the company may use the various processes of
automation, which are used by Digital MR such as artificial intelligence and big data analytics
can be used to obtain the information without having to go in person. The concept of strategic
information system can be made by the organization in order to carry out the research. The DVL
Smith organization use the concept of strategic information system to perform the research. The

strategic information system concept can be helpful in providing competitive advantage over the
other organizations (Arvidsson, Holmström & Lyytinen, 2014). This process presents the best
solutions as to which company provides the best quality products at a lower rate. The storing of

be stored. For this, the concept of big data can be implemented.
