Reflective writing
This reflective is based on the learning which I have gained from the execution of the research
program on the topic “Cloud Computing”. Cloud computing is a popular aspect of the business
environment which is widely being used by the businesses. Developments are taking place in the
field of information technology. Cloud computing is one of those developments taking place in
the field of information technology. Cloud computing can be explained as online data storage
device which has enhanced the process of data storage of the businesses. This reflection will
discuss the knowledge or skills which have been gained from the initiation of the research
process. I will discuss the aspects which I have focused on during the execution of the research.
This research program has been of great use for the learning process and contributed
towards the enhancement of the knowledge and skills. Learning is an essential part of the
personal and professional life which helps in the growth of the individual. According to me,
learning process forms a base for the future activities of the individual. Leaning is an integral
part of the life of an individual which prepares the individual for future events and help in
dealing with the future events in a better manner (Giles, 2010). This experience gained from the
execution of this research program will help in making decisions regarding the future events in a
better manner and cope with the future events effectively (Wald & Reis, 2010). I will be able to
use cloud computing for the management of the data properly Wald, H. & Reis, S., 2010. Cloud
computing is an essential element which can be used by the businesses for storing the data and
management of the confidential and relevant data of the business (Rajaraman, 2014).
For the attainment of the objectives of the course and program, it was crucial to complete
this research program. From the execution of this research in a successful manner, I have

completed the course requirements. As a professional, one must be aware of the latest aspects or
trends prevailing in the business environment (Helyer, 2010). I will use the knowledge and
insights for taking decisions in the future regarding the storage and management of the data.
Information or data is important for every organization and information or data needs to
managed and stored in a safe and secure place so as to eliminate the adverse impacts (Cui, et. al.,
2018). I have understood the importance of data and why businesses need to manage and store
data safely. Security threats are being faced by the business which creates an impact on the
security of the data. I have gained knowledge of the concept of data security and cloud
computing which can be used for storing data.
I have placed efforts on the completion of the research program within the allocated
timeframe so as to achieve the objectives. I have prepared an action plan on the basis of which I
have initiated the different activities of the research in a sequence. I have used primary and
secondary sources for data assembling. For collecting primary data, I have prepared a
questionnaire which has helped in the collection of raw form of data. I have developed
knowledge of the concept of cloud computing and growing importance of cloud computing in
this dynamic business environment. I have learned that cloud computing has created an impact
on the efficiency level and productivity of the business. These impacts include cost saving,
enhancing the reliability of the functions of the organization, mobility immediacy, security and
recovery and back-up. There are various benefits associated with the use of cloud computing in
business. These benefits include on-demand services, pay as you go, guaranteed quality,
accessibility and resource pooling (Dixon, 2012).
This research program has contributed towards the development of my knowledge and
skills and impacted on the learning process. During the execution process of the research

program, my focus was on presenting quality and reliable data for maintaining the reliability of
the research. I have I have learned that cloud computing has affected the productivity and
efficiency of the organizations. Organizations are using cloud computing as a storage device for
the management of the data. Cloud computing is a cheap approach to storing, managing,
updating and retrieving the data stored as per the need of the business. Impact of the cloud
computing has been seen in the manner operations of the business are performed (Rajaraman,
2014).
I have selected the topic “Cloud computing” with a motive to gain knowledge of the
trending aspect of the business environment. I have conducted the research program in three
parts. In the first assignment, a literature review has been provided so as to develop theoretical
knowledge of the concept of cloud computing. In the second assignment, a summary of the
literature review has been provided along with the explanation of the methods or approaches
selected for assembling of the required data. Both these assignments have formed a base for
writing the reflection of the research program. Cloud computing is an important aspect of the
business environment and reason behind the selection of cloud computing as the topic is to
develop knowledge of the concept and its increasing importance (Cui, et. al., 2018).
This learning process will be used for dealing in the future situations faced by a
professional. As a professional, one has to face different situations and adopt a suitable measure
for resolving the situation (McGough, 2013). I have learned that knowledge of the current trends
of the business environment plays a vital role in performing the future roles. The learning
process has formed a base for the implementation of the knowledge in the practical life (Helyer,
2015).

Thus, at the end of the reflection, it can be stated that I have gained knowledge as well as
skills from the execution of this research program. I have conducted a research program on cloud
computing which is a trending concept in the business environment. This research program has
encouraged me to conduct future research programs in a better manner and assembling the data
regarding the research program. During the execution process of this research program, I have
understood the importance of the learning process.
